[q] where are my ext4 recovery nandroid backups located? - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm using the ext4 recovery and I can't seem to locate my backups made with the recovery app. I need to delete some of them to save space on my sd

They are in clockworkmod/backup. They are put there in case you have backups created with cwm also.

Nandroid restores / Partition formatting

Forgive me if this is in the wrong area. I am not new to Android / rooting, but new to posting in forums.
When a nandroid backup is restored, will it reformat the phone to the file system that was used in the original backup?
Say you take a stock backup of a phone using rfs. Then you format it to use ext4 and install a custom rom. In order to restore that backup, would you first have to reformat to rfs?
Thanks in advance...

Can't restore Nandroid backup

I've made a Nandroid backup a couple of times, both on internal and external memory, and every time I try to restore the data part is corrupted
Anybody else had this problem, or does anybody know of a solution?

No solution if corrupt but make sure you use the same recovery version .
jje
It's corrupted every single time for some reason

I've been backing up using the CWM app, not recovery. The app backs up to internal and external.
Recovery doesn't let me back up to external, it says "can't mount backup path"

Which recovery can include the internal SD card in a nandroid backup???

Twrp or cwm? Or another way possibly?
