get amonra recovery--- problem solved
I thing cwm recovery only support ext3 partition so if you create ext2 or ext4 partition then cwm didnot backup.use twrp recovery in my opinion it is best recovery.
How do i install amonra over cwm

I'm using the ext4 recovery and I can't seem to locate my backups made with the recovery app. I need to delete some of them to save space on my sd

They are in clockworkmod/backup. They are put there in case you have backups created with cwm also.

I backed up my i9300 from recovery, and now I want to copy the info to my PC, so I can format the device.
where is the backup saved?
Thanks
Either in your internal sd or external sd

depends on the recovery you're using. TWRP or clockworkmod
Hello
I have looked all over the internet and cant find a answer to my problem. I have a i9300 16 gb. with super nexus rom installed. I want to do a complete wipe with the scripts from here. I have transfered the files to my external sd cards but when i reboot into recovery mode it cant mount the external sd Card. I have tried formatting it to fat, fat32 and exfat non of it Works. I have noticed when i browse to the Card on the phone the sd Card is located at /storage/sdcard1/ and when it want to mount it writes /extarnal_sd/. Can that be the fault? if so how do i change the mount route.
No, external_sd is normal for recovery. No problem there.
EXFAT not really supported. Fat32 is best. You could always replace cwm with philz. Recovery. Its based on cwm but much better

i will try that. is the best way odin or just flash it with cwm?
I always flash recovery via odin. Something just feels wrong to me flashing recovery from recovery. But it is possible yeah

I tried but did not Work (only tried fat32) . I can see the files when i use root file manager.
When i use the free browser i get:
E: unknown volume for path [/sdcard1/]
e: Cannont mount custom path [/sdcard1/]
E. You must first setup a valid folder
E. Switching to default mode
E: CanĀ“t mount /external_sd/
No idea then, sorry

I tired TWRP and it worked, so problem solved
Not do much solved as worked around. All recoveries should see your sd card
