You are joking right?
Have you tried this CM9/
Neo
Neo V
Its the OFFICIAL STABLE cyanogenmod for the NEO. It is VERY STABLE and has everything working.
Apart from that, to revert back to stock, just flash a stock kernel (Or any modded kernel for stock) and restore the backup you made before flashing the cm9 rom.

I just added the link for the neo v
Yes, you need stock kernel.(or modded kernel for stock roms)
The kernel for CM will not work with stock rom.
My suggestion is to try the stable cm9 for neo v from my link. If you are still unhappy then download a stock kernel, flash it it fastboot then restore your stock backup in recovery.
Do remember, if you flash stock kernel you will have to install a recovery. Or you can flash the alliance kernel from this thread

Rule number 1
Always backup, just in case you **** up!
Anyway, no problem, there are several options.
Find a stock .ftf in the dev section and flash that in flashtool after you have flashed the stock kernel.
Or, repair phone software using PCCompanion.
This will revert your phone to factory settings (Out of the box).
Or just follow the instructions in any "stock" based custom rom. I recommend Ice cream Pureness. Its a very good stock ICS based rom, fully functional and stable

Aww, don't use stock kernel... that's pure bullcrap,
Use this kernel- FreeKernel Mod 3.60 by Goro
This kernel is very stable and works on almost every baseband!
101% stock behaviour!
Private message me if you need stock, absolutely need it, I don;t want to post here and victimize all other poor fellows!
Install SEUS from Sony and do a full repair to install the stock kernel and stock everything.
Thanks to everything
Hi there, i am currently using Wolfbreak's TW009 with BB.54 and zKernel, but i want to switch to Goro's 3.60 kernel (or 3.62) can i just flash Goro's kernel over zkernel or do i need to go back to Stock kernel first?, in that case is there a way to go back to stock kernel without resetting the whole thing? o.o
EDIT: i just flashed the new custom kernel over the old custom kernel, it worked

To be precise, If ya in locked bootloader status, full wipe and clear cache partition (note these action will getya System Data wiped along) will get ya back to stock kernel everytime. If ya in unlocked bootloader status, just get ya Stock Kernel for Unlocked Bootloader X10 to be flashed via flashtool, then ya will get it worked, your ROM won't be affected. Just RAM and governors and little tweak added within the kernel you flashed. Hope helps

The error is probably with the rom and not with the kernel, because with the stock rom works perfectly...

Root privileges are integrated in this kernel. So you will not stay rooted almost for sure, if you flash another kernel which is not prerooted...

You will be able to update normally to ICS using PC companion, but to be ablolutely sure, you better relock your bootloader before the update...
@bbooff: few days ago I flashed ICS beta from sony page, and I used your kernel for hot boot just so I can install zip with superuser stuff.
Today I flashed stock .62fw, and wanted to hot boot with your kernel, but no luck, I needed to flash it in order to boot into CWM.
You got any idea why id did cooperate on ICS and not on clean .62
Also I couldn't do factory reset while I was using your kernel. I guess that is kinda normal as it's not stock kernel, but still I thought it should work

I have no idea!
The opposite is what should had happened.
I think that if you reinstall 0.62 (using flashtool and not wotan) and then my kernel, everything will be o.k.
If you install a custom kernel, you can do a factory reset through the cwm menu.

Actually I did used flashtool.
After I flash your kernel I can enter cwm. problem is if I try hot boot it.
and about factory reset, I know we can do it via recovery, but is it normal that we can't do it from phone?

fastboot boot boot.img
it allows you to boot with kernel without flashing it.
your kernel is very good.... simple and easy... helped me restore my phone back...
But now i am facing one more problem...
whenever I try to install any other kernel through fastboot, that kernel does not work; instead your kernel starts booting up...
Can you please throw some light on it?
Thnx
Recently , i have been watching some Cyanogenmod 9 ICS 4.0.3 ROM video and it seems to be cool. Well my question is if i flash the Cyanogenmod ROM , can i re-flash the stock ROM that i had?

Cool as in not overheating ???
a wipe and flash of stock rom will remove custom rom .
Root and custom roms void warranty and have a slight risk of bricking the phone .
But are usually recoverable .
You need to read the faqs and guides and understand the CM9 instuctions first .

to flash cynogen rom first u have 2 root ur phone please find the thread in original devlopment section regarding the same
u can reflash ur stock rom by dwnld the releavant .tar file adn flash the same thru odin
You can re-flash the stock rom, but just be sure to know which one is your stock rom. Go to settings, about phone and record the info there to be safe. Also back up your current rom using CWM.
There are always some risk in flashing a rom. Some people dont read instructions and cause problems on their phone, some people flash a rom not built for their phone (i9100 VS i9100G), etc.
Yeah i have rooted my device with cf-root. Thanks guys , i'll read some guides about cyanogenmod and flash it.
If your are currently on GB stock rom, Cyanogenmod developer recommends to install ICS bootloaded first,
You should be able to reflash your Stock ROM veriosn from ODIN, as well as custom roms from CWM...
What is bootload? o.o
My current firmware is ICS LP7

No they say to have below some specific ics boot loader, no mention of upgrading your gb boot loader, unless they changed it.
Plus I yet to had any issues with the latest ics or gb bootloaders..

I think he meant boot loader.
But since you already have ICS, you won't need it. Just take the latest CM9 nightly (or ROM based off it), and flash (you'll have to wipe cache data and dalvik too eventually). Make sure you make a full backup of your current stock ROM through CWM as well.

I refer this guide actually : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20841817&postcount=1
I dont know its outdated,
as others are sharing their experiance that you could flash CM9 straight away from your CWM since you are already on LP7 with ICS Bootloader.....
I don't get it... What is a bootloader?. I mean when i flashed with ICS LP7 i didn't put a file on bootloader. I just loaded the PDA .tar file and flashed it..
Soo that means that i have to reflash the stock rom with bootloader?

I dont know the ICS package you flashed had an ICS Bootloader already...
I just gave you the link for Original CM9 developers guide...
Just wait for others recommendation who have already flsahed CM9 from CWM....
Hmm thanks . But i have read in the guide that i can flash it with odin , do i still need the bootloader?
Currently I have Legacy Xperia 10.1 installed on my Sk17i (Mini Pro) device. As per instructions in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545367 it seems like we should first flash to stock then try flashing 11.0.
Is that really necessary or I can directly upgrade from 10.1?
--Edit--
Requirements:
* Have the stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587 full ftf flashed (doesn't matter if you have flashed it in the past or if you flash it before installing cm11.0, it will work both ways)

Yes it is important, but remember to exclude kernel when flashing to,stock

If you ever flashed stock ICS rom, and later moved on to cm10, cm10.1 you don't have to reinstall stock ICS. You can install new cm11 kernel (via fastboot). Do the formatting as indicated and then flash cm11 rom.
IF HOWEVER you never flashed stock ICS you need first to flash it.
I hope this is clear. I upgraded this way and cm11 works like a charm.

Thanks, I already did that. I had once before flashed to 10.1. So, now I directly flashed to 11.0.
Flashing stock is required only for having the latest baseband. You can just download the baseband from here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707269 (Go with the latest one, i.e. , 77) an then flash but if you already have the latest one no need Also baseband is just 10-11 MB
Happy flashing
Cheers,
AJ
