Since the ICS upgrade my Razr Maxx has been restarting after updating apps. This usually happens if more than one app is updated.
I've done a factory reset and still having the issue. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
Funny...I just posted a very similar thread the other day about a similar issue happening with my regular RAZR:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903444
At least I know I am not the only one seeing this...wish I could figure out why this happens.
biochemnick,
Out of curiosity, do you by chance use any sort of folder application (to put apps into folders) or other app that would run after an install occurs?

Have owned the Photon from the start but I keep loosing programs on a random basis. I am running the latest software, rooted (torpedo), std bootloader and lose root and multiple programs on the unit. Tried storing programs on SD then main memory but the problem keeps occurring. Most times program icons are still there but will not activate. Some widgets stay while others are gone as well. When I click on application is shows the programs are installed but are not functional. I have had to do three factory resets over the past few months then using Titanium to restore. Has anyone else had or read about anyone else having this issue?

Check this thread. Sounds similar to your issue: https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/60867?tstart=0
Might be a fix somewhere in that thread for you.

Do you have AVG antivirus installed? If you are then you need to remove it. I lost root due to having AVG installed, my programs are there but unable to run. I removed the AVG , re-root and re-installed super user. Everything then work fine.
Hope this help
Please install aLogCat. The next time you try and open up an app that subsequently fails, go to aLogCat, save your logs to a file, and review what errors were thrown by the system. You can post the logs here for further help deciphering them.
Worst case scenario is that your internal Flash storage is going belly up and you'll need to have the phone replaced -> aLogCat logs will help you prove that.
No AVG installed.
Thank you I will install it. What I did do that seems to be working is when doing a factory reset I neglected to wipe my Dalvik area. So I did a wipe three times and performed a re install using Titanium backup as all seems to be working for the time being.
Sounds good. I'm glad you're working fine.

I have a Droid RAZR running ICS and starting this morning I started receiving the message "Unfortunately, the process android.process.core has stopped" with an 'OK' to dismiss it.
My RAZR is not rooted. I uninstalled two apps that I downloaded on Saturday and I have rebooted twice today. I have also cleared cache. I have searched using google and most of the responses are to "reset to factory settings". While I don't really mind doing that, I can't imagine that it is totally required. Seems like that is a natural response to anything that goes wrong.
What could be causing this issue and what do I need to look for?
Thanks....

Fixing permissions with the filesystem would work if you were rooted but the apk that process is not setting well with the data and wiping data cache a.k.a. factory data reset is a not rooted approach.

So then what would have changed the file permissions you speak of? I have had android phones since the original Droid and have never ran into this .... so, why all of a sudden. Resetting the phone to me is not a good answer. I would like to know what caused the issue so that it can be avoided in the future. Wiping a phone is not something that I want to be in the habit of doing. And, like my original post said, that seems to be everyone's answer. Sure, it may be the easiest.....but, I want to dig deeper and find the cause.....
There's a bug I've encountered on Google Play Music that has been driving me crazy. Any time I'm streaming songs it won't change songs at the end and the clock ticks past the end of the song, as shown in the attached screenshot. It also starts repeating random sections of the songs.
I'm running Nottachtrix 2.3.0 and have tried wiping the Google Play Music data a couple times. Anyone else experience this or find a fix for it?

Yes! This is driving me nuts as well. I first observed it on my Atrix running CM 7.2.0, and see the same thing on another Atrix which is 100% stock, never been rooted or flashed, just the OTA updates.
Funny enough, it seems to only affect tracks from the Play store and All Access. It also doesn't matter if I stream them or pin them first. But, it has no problem with random mp3s that didn't come from Google, including the ones bought from the Amazon MP3 app! Haha.
Google didn't want to help me based on the "unauthorized" software of course, nevermind that the Moto crap they recommend makes the phone completely unusable. Anyway, maybe I can get them to take another look now that I have the stock rom doing the same thing...
edit: tried factory reset on the stock Moto phone, and wipe /data through ClockworkMod on the CM7 phone. Neither helped.
I'm having the same problems as you guys but I'm on the Motorola Photon. However, my All Access plays only starts skipping after the screen is turned off. I also thought that the problem was due to custom rom installation but reverting back to stock did not help. Wondering if it's inherent to Motorola Tegra2 devices...
For me this problem not appear.
I had something like this when using the librevox app.

I got some traction with Google Play Support now, they're asking for detailed logs. I will update if anything comes of it of course.
Any news or other users experiencing this? I really wanna keep All Access but won't pay for the service unless I can find a fix for that.
I would like to try to contact Google about it but I'm not sure where to go. Any suggestions?

You can use the "Contact us" button on this page:
Ugh, the forum won't let me paste a URL in here. Google "Google play support" and click the first link.
They weren't interested in looking at the problem on my CyanogenMod Atrix 4G, but quickly became interested when I found another identical Atrix with the stock Motorola ROM. They asked for logs and replied with a promise to work on it. I haven't heard back since then, though.
I am facing the same issue on my Atrix running M-ROM. Did you guys find a fix for this bug yet??

Unfortunately no, it is still an issue for me and my 30 day trial ends today. Will be unsubscribing today until they get it fixed (can test with streaming music that I own).

Not to "me too" but me too
I can confirm this on TopSmarts 1.3 Final, rooted (obvs) and unlocked bootloader+cwm.
Been an issue for a long time, but now super annoying because I signed up for Google All Access. If there is anything I can do to help please PM me.

I guess nothing further came of this?
I'm having the same issue on NottachTrix 1.3.1 and have tried every workaround I can think of.

Still an on-going investigation I guess. I'm am still seeing the issue and have tried everything as well. I get an email from Google Support every few weeks asking the same questions from a different person, so it's stuck in limbo somewhere. I've offered logs but no one seems to want to look. I'll attach a screenshot with the bug displayed on screen.
Motorola XT926 (Verizon Razr Maxx HD)
Same here, they seem to have given up. They did give me a refund for the All Access but that's small consolation, I actually wanted to use it
I'm using a Rooted Droid X2, Android Version 2.3.5, Running the Eclipse Rom v2.3.
The problem I'm running into is that my camera will not work.
At times, I cannot open the camera at all, receiving the message that the camera cannot initialize. Other times, I can open the App, but everything is black, as in the camera isn't on. When I try to take a picture, the flash will just turn on and stay on, and the phone will freeze and I have to restart. I can access settings sometimes, but often the application will freeze and close, saying that the process com.motorola.camera has stopped working. I've done battery pulls, power cycling, and cleared the cache partition. I've spent days searching for other similar threads, related posts, and just plain old googling. My Droid X2 is one of those funky ones that doesn't like safemode, so I can't try that, but I've deleted virtually all of my apps. I downloaded the App called "z-device test," and it says that it can see my camera, and flash, so I'm lead to believe that I have a software problem.
What should I do?
I'm a bit of a noob, so laymen terms would be appreciated. Any and all help is also appreciated in advance! (If anyone is still behind the curve as far as I am, and even notices this post)
Follow Shadow's SBF guide. If everything else fails and you suspect software, SBF back to complete stock. If you still have issue, then it is hardware failure.

Have you tried a different camera app?
Did you verify md5 check sum for rom, before installing?

Love this phone more than anything, but after fiddling around with it on the first day the camera app is no longer working. It worked initially for a few minutes then it would freeze up and crash all together. And no I do not have the Last Pass app that people say is causing the crash. I did a factory reset and its still not working. I assumed it was a software issue, but even after rooting and flashing a custom rom it's still not working. Probably going to contact HTC tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else was having issues with the camera?
It's LastPass
I had the same problem.. If you have last pass installed. Launch it... go to preferences and disable auto fill apps
I'm having the same problem, and I do not have Lastpass. So please don't be useless and say it is that app. I do not have other apps installed to manage passwords, but whatever Android software is native to ATT does a good job at remembering passwords...
Somewhere else on the interweb someone said Line could be a culprit. Anyone???

Have you tried factory reset and/or Safe Mode? Those would eliminate the possibility that a 3rd party app is the culprit.
If those still don't solve the issue, I would recommend running the RUU. RUU will return all software to the stock image. So if the problem persists after RUU, I would tend to believe its a hardware issue.
I'm assuming you are running a stock device, but you haven't given that info. The problem with jumping onto an existing thread and saying "I have the same issue" is that the OP may/or may not have the exact same conditions as you (which is almost always not the case). And if you don't tell us the specifics, it makes it hard for us to help. For instance, the OP stated he tried factory reset, plus root and a custom ROMs (with no success) and we don't know if you did the same or not.
