I believe it won't. u20i only supports 16 gb
Thanks pabling19. I will try to check it out with my friend.
It supports 16 GB max. Doesnt recognize if you insert 32 GB card. I've tried once.

Could you not partition the card?

i dont think that 32gb Sdhc microSD is created by Sony, Kingston if it was then definitely supported coz i myself use 16gb microSD card
Just a quick question, when you install a new microsd, do you factory restore your phone or you can just copy everything from the old to new? Because I'm having problems when I installed a new microSD, my phone restarts frantically whenever I mount/unmount when I'm connected to a pc

Maybe it's better to format the card from your phone, then copy the content of your old SD card.
I asked se support and waiting for answer
I formatted my new card with normal pc formatting tool, put it into phone and it ran no problem.. I didnt have any app installed to card or anything so it was just photos music and stuff aplications create there..
I'm happy with the 8Gb card, for a phone that small.

but it dosent tell anything about HC cards.. i just bought a 32GB microsdhc card. but it tells me its damaged. i searched around on the web and dident really find anything usefull.. some1 tells they can use it, and some say they cant..
but i tryed to formate it in phone couple times, with no luck.. then i tried to formate with my default formate tool on my xp pc. formatet it to FAT32. only option i had. FAT32 or exFAT..
after formate with pc i set it in the phone again. and it said its damaged twice then miraculously it mounted it. :O.
i mounted the phone with usb cable and copied everything from old card to it. (Old card 2 Gigs)
apperently it seems to work.. i tryed also to reboot and it mounted the 32GB Sandisk MicroSD HC card..
lets see how long it gonna work..
when i was witing this it rebooted. not sure if its the cards fault. never rebooted b4. hmm
gonna get back about that.
(sorry for the weird links. cant put links yet.. need to write 8 posts.)
Ps. I have the ¨Old¨ X10 min pro with Custom rom. CM7 v20.

Mine certainly does. Kingston 32GB class 10 works like a charm.
x10 mini pro (u20): 16gb
mini pro (sk17): 32gb
They deleted X10 mini pro page, it did said 32 gb for it, stop saying that it's 16 gb only.
when i inserted 32gb in mini pro it worked very very hard.but 16gb is very very good.
Hey guys! I kinda need some help here.
Here's the deal. I just bought a 16GB Kingston Micro HC 4 SDcard for my SE MiniPro U20i on 2.0.A.0.504, intending to install app2sd, following this guide.
Didn't go well at all.
The phone was already rooted, so I prepared both the partitions needed, and with USB debug on,i started the process, but it halted whith some kind of error, different from the one expected but i thought it had worked. It didn't.
The phone started rebooting frequently and saying the sdcard was corrupt. I tryed a different 16GB sdcard, same story... i flashed the phone in two different ways, used a different SIM card and nothing worked.
But then, I tryed the sd card on a X10 mini E10i and it worked perfectly! Oh well.
I just installed app2sd on my old 4GB sdcard in the U20i, and it's working. I'm fresh out of ideas as of why my phone isn't supporting the 16 GB sdcard.
Does anyone have an Idea?
Thank you all

Did you try formatting it from the phone?
Also, is it definitely genuine?
Format from the phone storage menu usually sorts it out.

Does the S III supporte SDXC (exFat) file system?
Try formating it to Fat32 or NTFS, should do the trick...

SANDISK 64gb micro SDXC are preformated in: ExFAT.
So I managed to REFORMAT in : FAT32 Only
And now it is working.
But....
I have previously mounted the 64gb Micro SDXC in my STOCK and UNROOTED ROM right after the unboxing, and it worked fine.
So the problem must be the ROOTED roms.

Yes it is GENUINE,
and
NO It DOESN´T revolve the problem formatting from the phone...
I had to reformat from PC in FAT32, phone formatting does it in ExFAT....
The problem must be from ROOTED roms, they DONT support ExFAT

If you were on a custom ROM, that was more than likely your problem. There are no issues with SanDisk 64 GB MicroSDs formatted in either ExFAT or FAT32, when used in a SGS III with a stock ROM.
Root does not affect exfat hiwever not every kernel has the exfat module included so if you installed for example cm9 your exfat partition would no longer work because cm9 doesnt support exfat. Further more the install process also breaks the formatting of the card so it will then no longer work in anything at all and you have to bang it into a computer and run chkdsk /f on it to sort it.

Not able to mount an 64gb microsdxc on S3
I have tried to mount the micro sdxc as I took it out from the box and the phone does not recognize it. I tried to format it again on computer as exFat but still no result . I tried to format it on computer as NTFS still no result. when inserted in phone i tried to mount it and nothing happens . Any idea how to make it work ? Previous I had an 16 gb micro sdhc which worked perfect . Thx.
Finnaly I solve the problem . I put the microsd in an galaxy S1 and I was able to formate it there. It showed immediately 59.4 gb. When i put it back in S3 it showed the same . Good luck if you encounter the same problem.

Hi there guys
I have been having a problem with 3 sandisk 64gb micro sd cards. I always got them replaced but it is getting frustrating now. Obviously they are formatted in exfat format.
The problem starts when I copy data of over 30 gb. Once i copy the data n the sd is remounted or the phone is restarted i always get the message "damaged sd card" but when i read the card on pc through an adapter it shows the contents ok. So i want to know if anyone can help me so that I may not need to return the card this time around...

Try to format it first in the phone, then start loading data on it.

I also tried it buddy but none of the methods seem to work .. i also tried formatting it then copying data through sd card reader as well as the phone itself... does it have to do anything with some file system issue or kernel related issue... im on stock kernel rooted...

also had the same problem. i formatted the card to fat32 with 32xxx sectors with "GUIFORMAT" app for windows, the it works ok.
then after fat conversion, you can try to format the card to exfat using any app (not the windows one) search google, then it might work, didnt try myself as fat32 works great, and i can use it with the script that makes the card the phone memory, so now i got 64gb instead of 11.6gb of phone storage

where formatted?
how much fully card with data?
witch rom, kernel?
I have the class 10 64Gb Sandisk sd card too with no problems.
Card has about 55Gb info on it and I didn't format the card. Just put it into the phone. Recognised instantly and haven't looked back.
I have a 2nd SGSIII too with a 64gb class 6 sandisk sd card. Same applies but with a little less data on it.

Hello,
I'm having problems with sd cards and liquid smooth. Sd card works in recovery mode without any problems, but in the actual OS it doesnt. It says it's damaged and says its needs to be formatted. However it gets stuck at unmounting the sdcard. I've formatted in the recovery mode, but it didn't help. I've been searching the internet for a while and haven't found anything helpful or anyone with the same problem. SD card is Sandisc microSDXC 64gb class 10.
List of software whats loaded into the SIII at the moment.
ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.5.0.4 - "v1.5"
Liquid Smooth RC5
superSU v0.89
With best regards: Amatheas
Format via Windows as FAT32 .

Well. I did get it to work, but at half capacity. Apparently my laptops sd card reader cant read more than 29.8gb of the sd card. Is there a way to format it using android itself or is there a trick to do it on my laptop?
EDIT: Got it to work. ZTE blade had the ability to format it to 64gb version. Thanks everyone for help. This thread is now solved.
