Hi Everyone,
I Bought this Chinese Tablet from my Local Store.I'm Using this Tablet from past 5 Months. It was working excellent.
But all of a sudden during the past few days my Tablet has been clicking and opening apps on its own. Even if i Rotate, the screen is Rotated and still it clicks back if any application is running and opens other app. I also tried bending it * i know sounds foolish, but it was irritating me. As if my Tablet was possessed... lol*
While charging the screen touch works normal.
2 Videos Uploaded. You can see the issue by self, what i mean to say. (sorry for the poor quality. i Enabled Show Touches, you can see multiple round white spots which auto clicks itself).

Soleil d'Ombre 1.0 : easy manage the backlight brightness
Type: free
Description:
In not so many clics, easily manage your backlight brightness and intensity, quickly !
Disclaimers:
* Please note that I'm not an english speaker.
* Please note that this soft is 100% functionnal and bugfree on my Samsung SGH-i900, but it normally will work on any Windows Mobile phones... if registry keys are the same (cf infos at bottom).
* Note that it's possible that the directory "Soleil_Ombre" will not be created due to a bug in the .cab creating software... In this case, sorry, you should do yourself the shortcuts.
* Thanks to AC of S2U2 as I've taken four weather's icons.
* The software is developped with the ooooold language eVB, but all necessary runtimes are (as tested) embedded in the .cab
Configuration / Compatibility:
SGH-i900
Please specify if the app is running on your machine (and what version of Windows Mobile / resolution you have), so I can expand the compatibility list)
How To Use:
To easily manage the backlight in the standard values, you have three options:
a. using this app called "Soleil d'Ombre"
Click the shortcut "Soleil_Ombre" to launch the full program in full screen mode.
Its use is simple:
- Click on the desired image by putting the maximum values (sun), medium (clouds) or minimum (moon). This will setup then manual mode.
- At the right is the + and - buttons to be able to edit values at your choice.
- Between the + and - buttons is indicated the current backlight's coefficient
- Below the keys + and - buttons is indicated the currently mode (automatic or manual)
- A button, bottom right, allows you to switch between manual and automatic modes
- The X button in the upper left lets you exit the application
Note that the coefficient of backlight goes from 0 (darker) to 12 (light, max. for my i900) neither less, neither more.
b. direct links
4 small programs. Exe are available to quickly change the backlighting:
- So0.exe = direct transition in manual mode and with maximum backlight (12)
- So1.exe = direct passage in manual mode with backlight means (6)
- So2.exe = direct passage in manual mode and with minimum backlight (0)
- Soa.exe = direct transition mode automatic backlight
Note that each has a shortcut created in the directory "Soleil_Ombre" and is named as the little program.
c. utiliser les options de Windows
Start >> Parameters >> System >> Backlight
the choose either automatic or manual and, if needed, intensity.

yes man. by the way, I think that it's quite simple to understand :
autom. = automatic
automatique = automatic
mode actuel = actual mode
mettre en mode = set in mode
manuel = manual
unfortunatelly it doesn't work on my Asus P565

A fellow xda member just ask me to help port cwmr to the exact model you have & thats how i found your post...
to solve this problem is actual quite simple since you have it boot up back, just use the contain of firmware from ur backup, copy & paste the 6 files back to /system/etc/firmware via any Root Explorer, reboot & you'll have ur phone back in full working condition... :good:
If your backup is system.img then you'll need unyaffs to unpack it then only you'll see the firmware folder...
download it from here...extract it, make a folder & put system.img there; at command prompt, unyaffs system.img will unpack system.img...
Hope this help...

Yes, I know it is a China phone and yes, I know it is probably a pain in the but to root and find custom roms for, but still. It is damn CHEAP!
Anyways, I have tried to root this phone without success. I have tried SuperOneClick and other funky scripts I found online, but still no go.
I was hoping someone could give me some pointers when it comes to rooting these "no-name" china phones with custom firmwares.
This specific phone has some CD-R KING custom rom with Android 4.0.8.
They claim it has 1500mhz CPU, but I'm skeptical.
It's most likely has this CPU:
MT6573: ARM11 (ARMv6) CPU at 650 MHz / GPU: PowerVR SGX 531 / 3G,HSPA compatible
But I don't see any signs of 3G.
However, the phone is running pretty fine overall.
This is the info I get from "Android System Info":

Any help getting this device rooted would be appreciated.
Ok, I managed to root it
Now it's clear that it has a 650mhz CPU. However, it seems it is pre-clocked to 806mhz.
No luck with ClockWorkMod though. Is there some other recovery software that can be used with these China "no-name" phones?

I'm not allowed to post URLs on this forum, but you will probably find it if you search for "RootTool_setup.exe" on Google. The icon should be blue with a shield on it. The program is in Chinese.
Please post all your findings in this thread, like when you manage to install a Recover tool or if some custom ROM works for you. Thanks.

matagal din ba xang malowbatt? and anong package ang kasama niya?
I purchased an Android TV box, and it was already rooted, however it was rooted poorly, and I am unable to install a superuser, or access the google play store, or open most apps without them crashing. My friend has the same box, and he has no issues, so I think that mine was just flashed poorly.
I have been looking for new firmware to reflash the device. I don't care about it being the same exact firmware, but obviously I want it to be compatible. I noticed that the ad boasts a 64 bit system, and the version of Android that is installed is 32 bit, so a 64 bit firmware that would be compatible would be ideal.
The device I have is a:

There’s still a chance to flash if it is being recognized in USB Burner application. I know when burning, be sure to uncheck the Bootloader option. Also if using Windows, be sure to open ‘As Administrator’. Also try loading the ROM in the USB burner app before plugging in device. I personally have not had to preform the ‘short pin’ method as I haven’t bricked it. You should only use the ‘shortting pin’ method when the device isn’t recognized with USB and/or showing no signs of power. Good luck!
Hi i am looking for the same firmware i.e for abox a3. I cant fund it anywhere. Please share the firmware if you have found it.

Was hopeing that some of you root Guru's could lend me some help with this one. Trying desperatly to get rid of bloatware on this phone and a few dubious akp's. Any help here would be apprecated.
Things i have tried:
I have tryed to gain root with towelroot, kingroot, and a few other root apps from pc and apk's .
Kingroot detects the phone as 6.0 android. dont know if this matters or not.
ADB seems to be working and detects the phone, ADB fastboot drivers are installed.
I can access the phones file system from pc. Nothing seems to be able to root this device.
