Support:
Support for our tools is via IRC channel #unlimited on freenode ONLY. If you do not have an IRC client you can use this link.
We DO NOT provide support, instructions, or downloads via XDA. Please see our website: http://unlimited.io
Using how-to guides, "kits" and using other instructions on XDA to S-OFF your device is not recommended and will not be supported by Team Unlimited. If you want the best experience and results - go direct to the source. Dealing with support issues through the forums is inefficient and posts may get lost in long support threads, of which we would have too many to actively monitor. We have therefore decided that all support should be through our IRC channel. This will allow us to help you in real-time and through the whole process.

a bump for a great addiition to an already awesome project, brought to you by unlimited.io
Enjoy S-OFF
P.S.
I have some cookies for all those drunken bears soon to follow. Stay tuned
Thank you so much for this awesome development!
I am going to try this as soon as possible
EDIT:
I got stuck in the Qualcomm DLoad mode after trying the first time and had a hard time getting out.
When you are also stuck in DLOAD mode you could try the following steps:
- Remove USB Cable
- Remove SDCard
- Do the wire trick, but toch only ONCE!
- Attach the device to your pc and you should see that it is in ADB mode now.
- Also on the screen you should see Juopunut with an arrow
- Put your SDCard back in the device
- Run controlbear.exe -r
Now the device should boot properly
-> if it doesn't try the next step on this page http://unlimited.io/jbtroubleshooting.htm - search for "ROM / Data Recovery:" and procceed with step 2
-> if everything else fails just go to the IRC and ask for help, hyuh is a genius!
-> IRC here: http://unlimited.io/support.htm
To get S-OFF you will require another SDCard as it appaers your SDCard is not compatible with this method.
I had a VERY cheap 2GB card lying around and used it.
This time it did work flawlessly
As I already said: Full credit for this solution gues to Hyuh
Thanks Man!
Even me I'll try it today

Is there any advantage after S-OFF. Done to have ICS or JB
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
should be much easier now..all we need is a developer..
WOOO!!! Add me to the list, I am now S-OFF!!!
Hmmm something went wrong..
My device wont boot anymore..
I think it is my own fault, but still would love some assisstance.
The Controlbear output was to do the wire trick,
So I did, or I tried..
It installed a Qualcomm Dload device.
After that, nothing.
It just kept resetting the connection.
Now my device won't turn on.
Connecting it gives me no in or output at all
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
http://unlimited.io/support.htm is the place you'll get help.
however, i think maybe there's something wrong in the tool itself...check with DNarsingh
he had issues as well.
a good chance you'll be needing this, but not sure.

This is exactly what happened to me, I went on the support IRC and they told me to hold the power button for 30 seconds, and when I did, my tablet booted into fastboot and I just ran the program again, this time with success.
I think my problem was the wire I was using. I was using a twist tie, but after I got it to boot up again, I switched to a paper clip wrapped in scotch tape and it worked fine.
for me it's not helped. My Jetstream not boot anymore.
have you tried the solution given to you by the team? the one with the ubuntu?

first, this stinks. I'm in Texas away from my pc. Can't root just yet because of that. But that gives you time to make a recovery...
Second, this needs to make the front page of xda, XDA tv, etc.
fourthly, as a semi-newbie that just follows directions on most forum threads to get his androids to be amazing, I would like to request someone begin a thread of some top tips on how to make the jetstream awesome now that root access is had and there aren't many rooms or mods developed. example: deleting bloatware, enhancing SD card read times, etc (anything i might not know of)
Thirdly, pay day is tomorrow I think. I wil be giving my 100$ prize as promised to doomlord, correct?
I am excited!

I am in no way, shape, or form held responsible if you brick your phone from this fix.
Well, i finally have something useful for the community!!!
this will take your main version to whatever you want, i took mine down to 1.00.000.0 and it worked!!
I was at 3.whatever ics is, but not anymore!! its fixed!!!
here are the steps
Before you start, disable HTC Sync
1.Connect phone to computer, enable charge mode
2.Open adb cmd and type : adb shell
3.Type su
4. if you get # symbol continue
5.Type : dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p24 of=/sdcard/misc.img (YOU CAN COPY THE IMG TO EITHER sdcard, which is internal memory, or sdcard2, which is removal card)
6. Switch to USB mode
7.copy misc.img from the root of the sdcard to your computer
8.Open misc.img with HeX Editor XVI32
9.Find the version and change it. it will be the first area in the the upper right in the screen of the app
10.change the number in whatever you want. (has to be in the form of.. x.xx.xxx.x
11.Save it and upload it to the root of the sdcard with miscnew.img name
12. Switch to charge mode
13.Type adb shell, su dd if=/sdcard/miscnew.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p24
14.Reboot and you are READY TO ROLL!
Once your done. And you wanna flash the new radio and hboot and all that fun stuff. Do a backup of your Rom http://db.tt/0UfbfrIs click that. Then relock your hboot, then flash that file in hboot and you let it update. then unlock once done installing. Then reflash your recovery.. and restore your Rom and your golden
Feel free to donate if you'd like,
Now that's some good info for everyone. Thanks for posting this. I will ne adding a link to your thread in my Rom threads

Edit:Nvm found it, turned out I had to be in USB mode.
Before step one like always ( disable htc sync/ in usb/develop mode)
-After step 4 switch to USB mode
-After the 1st 8# (lol) switch back to USB mode lol
some little steps you may add
Edit#2: Very nice, worked out well, though instructions can include a little more detail, but all-in-all good find Mainver 1.00.000.0 lol. Now I'm back in business again and start flashing again.

Description
Please read this entire post before attempting to flash this zip!
Be sure to read Post #2 as well
Flashing this zip REQUIRES your device to already be S-OFF.
This PJ75IMG.zip removes the following text from your splash screen:This build is for development purposes only.
Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission.
Failure to comply may lead to legal action. This process (flashing a new bootloader) is dangerous and may possibly brick your device if done incorrectly. You have been warned.
Warning
As per LazyPanda's warning:This zip comes with NO WARRANTY (express or implied), and NO GUARANTEE OF FITNESS for any particular task. I have made every effort I can to make this a safe process for users however the author disclaims any liability for damage to your phone or other materials or devices used during this process. The entire risk of flashing this lies with you, the user. By downloading and/or flashing this you acknowledge and accept that the author is not liable for any loss, material or otherwise howsoever caused.Usage
Place the PJ75IMG.zip on the root of your external sdcard. (Copy it right onto your sdcard, not in any folder)
Reboot the phone into the bootloader by either:
Powering off your phone completely, then hold Volume-Down and Power until the phone boots into the bootloader
If you have the android sdk set up, type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
Use my RegawMOD Rebooter
Then select the menu option "Bootloader" and press the power button.
If you rebooted the manual way (Volume-Down + Power) You should already be at this menu
It will load the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard and ask you to accept the flash.
Press Volume Up to flash
Once prompted, press Power to reboot
Pro-Tip #1 (thanks dsEVOlve): Remove the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard so it doesn't load next time you enter the bootloader.

Its pretty self explanatory. Copy the zip file to the root of your sd card (not in a folder), reboot into your bootloader and the phone pretty much takes it from there.....

No, writing SuperCID won't have any affect to your phone's internal storage, system/data partition, or any other part of your phone other than the CID. Also, I'd like to know how you achieved S-OFF since there is no known way of attaining for HOX+ as of yet.

About
The WinDroid Toolkit is a Windows program built in Visual Studio using the C# programming language that simplifies the rooting process for many Android devices. The toolkit makes it easy to unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and gain permanent root. It also includes other functions such as flashing kernels, pushing files and installing apps. If you find it helpful, give me a thanks and a donation if you can. If you find a bug or have a feature request, feel free to leave a reply. Thanks!

I am using the new DevDB interface. Take a look at the black bar at the top of the page. There is a tab labeled "Downloads".
Not compatible with Win 8
Even in Comp Mode Win 8 won't let this launch
Thoughts / Tips?
Edit: Got it to work but now it gets stuck in Token
Windows can't Recognize the Device
Not exactly sure what the point of this gui interface is if you have to type in everything but the command. Actually more confusing to try and use this app than just running a command prompt. Example to push pull a file with this this app you need to still know the directory of everything on your phone, which most people won't know how to do. This app wants you to type in /sdcard/download/Filename.file to to pull a file from your phone. the only thing missing is adb pull.
You are really better off learning the actual commands or googling them and just install the sdk. Not only that, but the unlock/s-off features are already in other threads. The two links below are probably more than 90% of people are going to ever need.

Which S-OFF method does this use and why isn't there any credit for it in the OP?
Just got a DNA and now looking to s-off and all. interesting new layout for the download links and all, i usually use the xda classic. I saw a download link for 1.2 but didn't see a change log, which do you suggest to use? i see a big difference in file size, about 22mb on the new one.
Thanks
Is this using RevOne or Moonshine as you don't explain which software version this works for and many people are flooding the forums since they took advantage of the free upgrade from Vzw when they introduced the HTC One.
perfect work, thank you...
So is this confirmed to work? I'm still a little adamant about unlocking / rooting.
Major update to version 2.0! Check it out and provide some feedback on the new design! :highfive:
Looks great. I'm on Windows 8.1, and I get stuck here when the phone goes into fastboot mode:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A device which does not exist was specified."
Does this even work for Windows 8?

Under what conditions did this error occur? Was this an error on Windows or on the phone itself?
