open your app drawer, select the widgets tab, drag and drop any widget of your choice to the homescreen.
If you don't like the behaviour of the default launcher, then install apex or Nova.

Best app for changing icons?

Can anyone suggest a good app that will allow a user to change the icon for an app?
I was using ADW EX and could change the icons anytime thanks for the fantastic integrated editing features of the launcher. But I'm giving Sense a thorough test drive for the first time and really like it, so I'd like to use all the custom icons I bought from Tha Phlash.
Follow-up: Is there a way to add a fifth column and/or fifth row?
Desktop Visualizer, it only changes them on the home screens tho, not the app drawer

Check out Folder Organizer
Thanks, guys. Desktop Visualizer worked perfectly.

Is there a way to change all the icons? App drawer included?
I've been using GO Launcher EX. I removed Sense, installed Ziggy's kernel, and installed ThaIconUltimate to change all my icons. It was a little sluggish at first, but it's running silky smooth ever since I flashed Ziggy's kernel.
In the screenshot attached, you'll see I have 5 icons across the bottom row, then 5 columns x 4 rows of icons on each screen. GO Launcher lets you customize how many rows/columns you'd like to add.

ICS specific launchers

There are 2 launchers in the works for ICS and both of them work on our tablets! You can check them out at the following links...
Nova Launcher
Trebuchet (CM9) Launcher
If anyone knows of any others, post them here.
Has anyone tried using ADW EX with ICS? I just got ADW set up to my liking the other day, and I would really like to be able to keep things laid out the way they are now.

I have it running on mine, everything is the same except I was using Wizz widgets facebook app on my home page and it was no longer scrollable. Not an adw issue but that is the only thing I've noticed that's "different".
I use wizz on stock ICS launcher and can still scroll in twitter and Facebook.

ADW EX works fine but puts an ugly blue line across the top of the screen.
I tried going to ADW EX after ICS update, but all Google widgets no longer scroll which is a dealbreaker for me. I sent an email to the developer for a fix.

yea that line sucks, but it goes away when you hide the options

what option do I hide to get rid of it?
Yeah I have teh same problem. Hopefully will be fixed in an update
You can hide all the top options by:
- long pressing on the screen
-Then click launcher actions
-Find hide status bar ( I think it's what it's called)
-it'll put a shortcut on the screen, click that
Now the top bar should be gone

[Q] ICS appdrawer

i hate the ics app drawer, because it's sorted by name
i like an app drawer that is like the touchwiz one, so that you can choose the order of the apps by yourself.
is ther an option to make this in any its rom or any ics launcher?
thank you!
Install a new launcher.

I can't tell you which one you'll like. Search the "Play Store" (formerly known as Market) for "launcher". You'll have your pick. Install and test until you find on you like.

Dude, clearly you can't read, either.
Look - if you are dissatisfied with how your app drawer currently functions, try changing the settings. If you can't get the app drawer to how you like it, then INSTALL ANOTHER LAUNCHER to change your app drawer.
This isn't rocket science. I'm not trying to be mean here, but I've basically said the exact same thing in three posts.
sorry am a noob...
and how can i change the app drawer without changing the homescreen????

Can't I'm afraid. Installing a new launcher will mean that you have to add shortcuts and widgets back to the home screen. However if you switch back to the stock launcher they will still be there. Aftermarket launchers also handle the home screens.

[Q] Change the 4x4 home screen grid to 5x5, possible?

There seems to be enough screen space to fit 5x5 icons on the homescreens instead of 4x4.
What's the easiest way to do this on a stock SGS3?
I don't think there are any mods yet to change the stock TW launcher. You might want to check out Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher if you haven't already.

In fact, TW is already modded...
Here
Or just install another launcher such as Go Launcher.

Thanks all!

I tried out Nova (free) for a few days, have uninstalled due to:
- icons sometimes take a while to reappear.
- Calendar / S Planner widget sometimes takes a long time to populate.
The TW mods appear to need root... so I'm back to stock TW, and realizing that I don't need more than 4x4 that badly.

Possible Widget issue with Liquid ICS?

Liquid ICS is great and I love it, but any clock widget I install from Play store doesnt show up on the device. I scroll over from the app drawer to widgets and its not there. Can I not install widgets this way? Post a link to install widgets with this rom? Thanks.

Depends on your launcher. I use Apex. With Apex launcher Just long press and widget options will appear. Stock launcher you have to open apps and scroll to the right side of the screen to see widgets and then long press them.
