Problem with MMS - cannot send messages (Softbank) - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I cannot get my mms to work on Softbank’s (Japanese) network. I’ve tried several mms.apk downloads on this site for Softbank but it just can’t get it to work. I can receive but I can send messages.
I normally just change the name of the file to mms.apk. Then I use super manager to move the file into the system/app folder. Reboot /install.
I’m currently running a stock jelly bean/rooted on my S3 I9300
Black Sim card on smile.world apn

Have you added the mms apn?

did you try to call your provider and see what they had to say? They could verify those settings for you, maybe they are having issues on their end.

[Q] Virgin Mobile MMS Settings

I updated my phone to the 2.2 unbranded ROM and without thinking I did not copy down the APN settings first. I was able to find the settings to connect to the 3G network on Virgins website but I can not find the Canadian MMS settings anywhere. Does anyone have a stock rom or the MMS settings? They would be greatly appreciated!
You probably already figured this out, but I'm going to post these anyway for people finding this thread through google.
The following APN settings and MMS settings will work for Virgin Mobile Canada:
APN1
Name - Bell
APN - pda.bell.ca
Proxy - web.wireless.bell.ca
Port - 80
MCC - 302
MNC - 610
APN Type - default
APN2
Name - Bell MMS
APN - pda2.bell.ca
MMSC - htt p://mms.bell.ca/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy - web.wireless.bell.ca
MMC Port - 80
MCC - 302
MNC - 610
APN Type - mms
Nokia lumina 520 APN for Virgin
Hate to be a drag, but the info here does not seem to work with my phone.
I have set the data connection to off
SIM setting to auto network
Manual Internet APN
Internet APN to
PDA.bell.ca
Proxy web.wireless.bell.ca
Port 80
MMS APN
PDA.bell.ca
MMSC - htt p://mms.bell.ca/mms/wapenc[/url]
Proxy web.wireless.bell.ca
Port 80
Tried to get a pix that was sent to me last night, and it could not open it. Any Ideas would be appreciated.
Contacted Virgin Mobile, and the info is correct, however the data setting has to be on for it to work!

Anyone else got a MMS problem on OmniROM Android 4.4.2?
I have tried different APN settings but results it "Sending..." message on the Messaging app when i try someone a picture message but they can send me pictures in Messaging
My current APN:
Name: Straght Talk ATT
APN: wap.tracfone
Proxy: Not set
Port: 80
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc-cingular.com
MMS: proxy.mvno.tracfone
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled (only APN in my list)
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: None
MVNO value: Not set
now i have tried Port: 80 or none and MMS: proxy.mvno.tracfone or mms2.tracfone.com or mms3.tracfone.com or att2.tracfone.com but none of them let me send a picture at all. this all worked on CM 10.1.3 and Biftor before but they both was Jelly Bean.
Please help.
In comparison to mine, it looks like your APN's are wrong.
First, the mmsc should be as you have it, but remove the dash (-) and replace it with a full stop (.).
Second, your MMS proxy should be 66.209.11.33
Remember to reboot once you've tried this.

I switched my MMSC and MMS to your settings and still getting "Sending..."
I do have Mr.Cook's modem version I777UCLK3 installed but i do have other modems on my extsd card saved and they are
I777UCLK3_modem.zip
I777UCLL6_modem.zip
I777UCDM8_modem.zip
S959GUDLG1_modem.zip (originally my old stock modem)
but i feel like i should flash a new modem but not sure if one will work.
Alright, here is my setup exactly:
Name: StraightTalk AT&T
APN: att.mvno
MMSC:http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN type: default,supl,mms
I'm on UCMD8, but I've used these settings across numerous modems. Try deleting the other apn's you currently have and create a new one using my settings. If you've entered everything properly, selected the new APN and rebooted, your texting should work without trouble.

I'm flashing back my stock modem but i cant use any other APN type but wap.tracfone or my phone wont connect to data at all
also would turning Airplane mode on then off work as well or does it got to be a full reboot or can it be a soft reboot?
I cannot send MMS with Hangouts on Omnirom. Hangouts crashes. Using stock messaging or Handcent works but is not always reliable; it works like 80% of the time.
I haven't figured out the problem. I suspect its a KK problem, not a rom or apn or modem issue.

Well, MMS works with the stock messaging app for me but try the following:
try Play Store for Hangouts app updates
or try update your build to the current build 20140119 from OpenDelta
best ideas from me.

Any alternative UK three network APN settings?

Hi all,
I know there are a few different APN settings for the three network in the UK, could anyone post here what they have or have adjusted On theirs?
Background info.... until April I had an old note4, that I used for tethering my iPad etc too that three couldn't monitor how much tethering I did on it. Unfortunately it died and I bought the S8 in April.... newer software etc meant that three could now monitor the amount and stopped me at 4gb (despite my offering to pay more or change to a newer contract that offers up to 30gb tether they said no).
Desperately searched the internet and found a thread that someone put their 'adjusted' APN setting on.... tried it and success unlimited tether.
Last week a repair at phone store and they accidentally wiped all my settings!!!! I'm gutted now as I forgot to write them down and am unable to find the APN settings again.
So any settings/advice/tips appreciated (feelfred to message if preferred)
Thanks
