My sola using MT27i_6.0.B.3.184 before upgrade.
I have unlocked the bootloader before and relock it back to upgrade to ICS.
I upgrade via Sony PC Companion but after I finish upgrade, my Sola now having unlimited bootloop.
It keep loop with uncertain pattern, sometime I restart when apps upgrade, sometime restart at NFC firmware upgrade, sometime able to boot successfully, but it will reboot in few minute later. Most of the time I keep loop within boot animation.
I tried using flash tool and flash the FTF from here --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=191426 and still have the same problems.
Anyone facing the same problem or having solution?
I flash back MT27i_6.0.B.3.184 and it work like charm... I wanna ICS badly... Please, anyone please help me :crying:
have you tried to make a factory reset?

I have tried this method many times already still same. I find out the cause of the bootloop. It is cause by my micro sd card. Once I put micro sd card and it will boot loop. I tried different micro sd card but still same, keep boot loop. Now I take off my micro sd card and it work like charm again. Any idea how to solve this problem?
I am also having the same issue... Did you find any solutions for it?
I'm not really sure, but I think upgrading with Sony PC companion after unlocking your bootloader did this. Try flashing a different Rom like Cyanogen mod or munjeni's jb port and see if there's a difference.
-Download New ICS firmware (6.1.1.B.1.89)
-Download latest flashtool, place the .89 firmware in the firmware folder in flashtool.
-Turn OFF your phone, connect to PC and flash. It will solve all your problems.

I was not unlocked my bootloader.. I am having this issues from when i did update to ICS(10,54) from GB(184). So it is because of sola ICS firmware.... After my sola warranty over, i did unlock the bootloader and then tried munjeni's JB port... In JB port, i am not faced the issue exactly(i mean it is not reboot every time with memory card)... But still the phone reboots when i played songs in walkman/ watch movie... But if remove the SD card then no issues with walkman or any other app using SD card.. I tried many different SD cards... Still the issue exists... But i have not faced the issue with GB 184 firmware

Can you give the link where i can download the ICS firmware(6.1.1.B.89) for Xperia Sola???
Flash new kernel
Yes, munjeni's original kernel had some problems like walkman FC's, launcher redraws etc.
So I flashed etch04's kernel and it sort of fixed that. I'm using v8.0 with ondemandq+sio. for some reason i had wifi problems with the later versions. You should check for yourself.
Here's the link.

No... No issues with wifi.. I am able to connect and browse in my home wifi network... Only difference i felt is my phone somewhat over heats... may be i am over imagining ????...
Its normal for a phone to heat up when browsing. Instal Gsam battery monitor to check your battery temperature if you have doubts.

I restarted the phone one day after installed font from font installer app, it never turn on since then. It stuck looping at Sony logo.
I sent it to Sony center they said they can't update the software cos it's not the official ROM and changing the motherboard is more expensive than buying a new phone...
What should I do, please help...:crying::crying:
PS. is it possible to use Odin to flash new ROM?

most likely one of the following things are wrong.
the kernel/ramdisk is not compatible with the ROM that you have installed.
Make sure that if you are installed a ROM, that you do also flash the corresponding kernel.
You have forgot to wipe DATA (factory reset). If the data in the DATA partition is not compatible with the ROM, is the ROM not able to begin.
Always wipe DATA, when you move between different ROMs.

I do not know Odin, but try to use Flashtool.
In case the kernel you are using is including CWM, can you wipe DATA, using it. If not, can you use Flashtool, which you can also use to flash a new ROM (even stock).
Odin are only for Samsung devices only
I had a similar issue whit my x10 changed fonts and it got bootloop so i reflashed the rom and it worked

Confused
Hey,
I flashed Xperia SSpeed kernel...
My cell stuck on Sony logo..
Well, i flashed Xperia SSpeed ROM too thinking it might be because of different kernel with stock ROM
I couldn't flash Xperia SSpeed ROM because of some Memory partition issue and it seems like i don't know the reason of this brick.
Kernel or ROM?
Try out Humza's post in the previous page about flashing Stock FTF. Just instead of the link he posted, get an FTF for your device. The Dev section contains the info you require And lastly, do you have an unlocked bootloader ? Custom kernels only work with unlocked bootloader.
Let me know if it helps Cheers

Sola Stuck on Sony logo+battery not charging
Hi guys,
I was using munjeni's jelly bean port+ etch04's experimental kernel for sometime and everything was great until yesterday. My battery died out completely and when I plugged it into the charger it turned on and was stuck in the Sony logo. There was no charging indicator. I thought omg so this is what a hard brick looks like. As you know, the sola's battery isn't removable so I thought I was doomed.Tried a hard reset and there was no difference. So I kept it there (plugged in, stuck in the sony logo) for a while, plugged it out and turned it on. Luckily, IT HAD CHARGED even if the charging indicator or display didn't show it. So I tried turning it on but it got stuck on the sony logo as usual. Since the battery had charged a little, I plugged the phone in fastboot mode and flahed etch04's experimental kernel again. But it still got stuck in the sony logo. Then, as a last resort I flashed the stock ICS .54 kernal using flashtool and IT WORKED! (charged with charging indicator and display)
Then I flashed etch04's kernel again and now everything's back to normal.
Here's the stock ICS .54 kernel.
View attachment MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.rar
Place it in flashtool/firmware folder and flash with flashtool.
Good Luck!

Hi,
I checked the forum and try those and it didnt work.
This is the story. i try to install a custom rom to my friend's xperia x10 mini. I unlocked the bootloader. Rooted and installed a kernel Jelly Bean Mini projects kernel. Also install the apk for CWM. After i flash the JB Mini Kernel i stuck at the JB Mini logo. Entering the CWM does not worked. Then i paniced and flashed the custom kernel. Then this time it is not opened only stuck at the SE logo. After that E10i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Sony Ericsson.ftf firmware and flashed via flash tool. This time is stuck in the boot logo loop. It didnt give a chance to flash another kernel again. Opening and resetting again. ALso PC Companion Repair doesnt work because it get disconnect on doing it.
Also i tried home screen and power button to reset and then try to flash mode and it didnt allow me to do it. Do you guys any suggestion. How can i get rid of it and get back to normal.
All helps will be appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure you're talking about the right model phone, the Xperia Mini and Xperia x10 Mini are different phones. If you have the x10 Mini, then fastboot won't work at all.
Yes, CWM is available by repeatedly pressing the back-button when the kernel-logo shows, and it is included in ALL custom kernels for the x10 mini, just not on stock, so if you flash a custom kernel it is already available without any further action on your part.

Unlocked the bootloader and installed jb mini.kernel and stucked on boot.logo. Then I flash custom kernel again now its stuck.on.boot logo like a loop. Yes, the JB kernel requires you to format the /system, /data and /cache partitions in CWM on first boot, otherwise you get stuck, and you'll be unable to install the JB ROM. (Mind you, if it's version 4 of Stelios97's JB Kernel, that's been reported as not working at all)
(Not sure if you're doing your friend a favour with JB just yet, not if she wants to use her phone like she does now, you might be better off with MiniCM7)
Make sure your batter has a decent amount of charge in it, and try to flash this with flashtool, it's stock firmware that should get the phone back working properly.
After that, you can try again with the custom kernel and ROM.

Hi,
I am a newbie so i hope i am following policies of this Forum.
Problem Statement ::crying:
I am not able to repair my xperia mini as i used to do earlier using my PC Companion
What is that i did which caused this ? :silly:
I usually keep trying new things in my phone so, I did..
Unlocked My BOOT Loader from SE Site
rooted my mobile, Installed CM 10
was not happy with some features, so wanted to go back to stock rom
some how flashed stock rom using flash tool, re locked boot loader using sdk
What I tried to repair from PC Companion ? :fingers-crossed:
Changed laptops where PC Companion was installed
re-installed PC Companion
tried with SONY UPDATE SERVICE
So can some one Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Help me in making any fixes ( like kernel or file changes), so that pc companion recognizes as my correct software and repair it and make my software brand new....
Hmmm... maybe a suggestion. I first install the unbranded version with flashtool and with Sony Update Service I repair the phone. Usually it works.

Hey man you are not supposed to use android sdk to relock your bootloader. There is a relocking ftf which has to be flashed. First flash stock ics, then flash the relocking ftf and reflash the stock ics rom
Then you will be able to update via SEUS or PC COMPANION.

It seems your phone did not re-locked bootloader sucessful. To make sure that your phone is LOCKED after re-locked, you should press the secret series to check the bootloaded status.
Just follow this.

MAn you made a huge error by using pcc, after unlocking your bootloader , sony tells you that do not use pcc and seus or ota updates as they may harm your device, even i do not know how pcc recognized your device, and with custom roms it is even harder to solve, however please can you tell me if cm10 is smooth enough?? anyway here is the solutiuon:1)if you have cwm try flashing a custom rom if a custom rom is available on your sd card or try formating your device. 2) flash the official ics .587 by using the flashtool :http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/38251 , if the drivers are not available for you to use the flashtool , go to help in the flashtool and hit drivers, and to let your device boot in flashmode ( your device should be off, a green light from your LED light should appear after booting to the flashmode) please hold the volume down button while connecting your device to the usb, to flash the ftf of .587 please click on the first button on the left and choose flashmode, then choose the ftf and flash it P.S: I am a newbie but not a noob, I helped a lot of people on sony forums and on gsmarena and other forums, if I helped you please hit thanks

Be sure that you choose the .587 not the .431 from uliwooly's links and if the flashtool shows you errors please try using the flashtool64 ( available in the flashtool folder), you have also another choice, download a new custom rom, use the flashtool in fast boot mode ( hold the volume up button while connecting to the USB connection) and flash the new custom rom , then try flashing the stock rom by flashtool if it doesn't flash it well on your current rom

It happened suddenly. I'm on stock ROM and I can't remember I dropped this phone off or whatsoever. 3G works fine but to save data usage, I need my WiFi to work. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you for the response

or u can flash a FTF by flashtool or repair using PCC
If you have root, you can flash Memory Tweaks by munjeni

Thank you guys for the kind responses.. I tried factory reset, flash gb and ics stock rom, and seus but no luck. I have to stay on gb rom coz when I'm on ics, it's worse causing infinite bootloops when I turn my wifi on.

I guess it's hardware problem then coz I tried jb Rom by munjeni and it's the same thing. Luckily I have cwm to restore my system.

If you bought it 3 month ago is it not with warrenty still?
It may be hardware problem and that we can't fix.
You can try factory reset, but that will erase all your settings and installed apps, contacts, messages etc, so you better have backup of everything before you try.
How did you upgrade to ICS, with PC Companion/SUS or flashtool?

It is noting to worry it is a common bug on certain stock roms and did you install or uninstall any battery saver apps or Taskmanager apps? and don't worry either flash a different stock version with flashtool please post more specific info about ur device (such as rooted or bootloader unlocked, etc)
since you are new member i assume u are just using a unrooted stock Rom with unlocked bootloader.
BUT FIRST TRY OUT A NEW STOCK OR JUST REFLASH THE SAME ROM U HAVE
with both
