Sola Wifi Error and Bluetooth Won't Turn On - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Good day. I had this phone for awhile and I don't know what went wrong. When I turn my WiFi on, it says error. The Bluetooth never turns on too. Can someone tell me how I can fix these problems? I beg you and I appreciate it very much

Did you install any app/mod/kernel/rom or this just happened suddenly?

It happened suddenly. I'm on stock ROM and I can't remember I dropped this phone off or whatsoever. 3G works fine but to save data usage, I need my WiFi to work. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you for the response

Do a factory reset.
Should work !
Sent from my Xperia U using xda app-developers app

or u can flash a FTF by flashtool or repair using PCC

If you have root, you can flash Memory Tweaks by munjeni
Sent by typing on my Xperia Sola with my fingers using xda premium

Thank you guys for the kind responses.. I tried factory reset, flash gb and ics stock rom, and seus but no luck. I have to stay on gb rom coz when I'm on ics, it's worse causing infinite bootloops when I turn my wifi on.

I guess it's hardware problem then coz I tried jb Rom by munjeni and it's the same thing. Luckily I have cwm to restore my system.

If you bought it 3 month ago is it not with warrenty still?
It may be hardware problem and that we can't fix.
You can try factory reset, but that will erase all your settings and installed apps, contacts, messages etc, so you better have backup of everything before you try.
How did you upgrade to ICS, with PC Companion/SUS or flashtool?

It is noting to worry it is a common bug on certain stock roms and did you install or uninstall any battery saver apps or Taskmanager apps? and don't worry either flash a different stock version with flashtool please post more specific info about ur device (such as rooted or bootloader unlocked, etc)
since you are new member i assume u are just using a unrooted stock Rom with unlocked bootloader.
BUT FIRST TRY OUT A NEW STOCK OR JUST REFLASH THE SAME ROM U HAVE

with both

Check your APNs. If they are fine, then re-flash. Faced this issue when I flashed my first ROM.
Reflashed the ROM, Double checked the APN. Even cleared the cache and installed the Void forever rom again. Still i cannot establish connection with the google servers. I just doubt whether this has something to do with the flashing of official gingerbread. Any suggestions. ??

Not sure dude. Search the forums if anyone has the same issue.
try a different Sim card. also keep a minimum balance. if balance is zero net will never work, even with data pack active.
also restore the apn to default from menu options.

But the roms that I find are for the st18i mine is the st18a, so that means i will get "put simcard and reboot cellphon" message? Because the cellphone will be sim locked?

Just to be sure, as I didn't understand last part of your post. After you did update with pc companion, you also did repair software with pc companion? Meaning, nothing left over from your old apps and stuff from data partition?

and another q, so you can turn on your wifi, right? when it searches for new networks, does it find any?

Hm, no IP is normal since you aren't connected, but no MAC is kinda worrying.
Only one last advice is to flash GB rom, clean stock. Some people are having WiFi problems, although not like you, but I don't have any more ideas.
If that doesn't help then I believe it's hardware fault .
If you never flashed some other rom with flashtool, meaning you still have you original firmware on your phone, you can write down CDF number so you can go back to original fw before sending it for warranty(if you have any) repair.
how to get to that number read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604559
After you do that, flash .ftf file with flashtool.
You can use MT11i 4.0.2.A.0.62 GB CUSTOMIZED-NCB-Nordic WORLD-I 1255-1755 from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24983670&postcount=246

Well, I don't think it will help, I can only hope
But to be honest I don't have to much faith in fix. People had problems on ICS with WiFi, but they could find networks only not be able to connect on them.
Strange in your case is that it doesn't even find any network.
anw, if you have warranty, take it to SE repair center, if you have any in your place.

Well, depends on how you unlocked it. You can relock it in both cases. But if you unlocked it officially from sony dev page there is possibility they will notice that DRM certificates are gone.
How to relock it, check in Neo V dev section, sticky thread.

I don't know if its software or hardware, I can't be sure without testing. People had strangest problems which on first look looks like hardware problem, but after flash its fixed.

I have tried this method many times already still same. I find out the cause of the bootloop. It is cause by my micro sd card. Once I put micro sd card and it will boot loop. I tried different micro sd card but still same, keep boot loop. Now I take off my micro sd card and it work like charm again. Any idea how to solve this problem?
I am also having the same issue... Did you find any solutions for it?
I'm not really sure, but I think upgrading with Sony PC companion after unlocking your bootloader did this. Try flashing a different Rom like Cyanogen mod or munjeni's jb port and see if there's a difference.
-Download New ICS firmware (6.1.1.B.1.89)
-Download latest flashtool, place the .89 firmware in the firmware folder in flashtool.
-Turn OFF your phone, connect to PC and flash. It will solve all your problems.

I was not unlocked my bootloader.. I am having this issues from when i did update to ICS(10,54) from GB(184). So it is because of sola ICS firmware.... After my sola warranty over, i did unlock the bootloader and then tried munjeni's JB port... In JB port, i am not faced the issue exactly(i mean it is not reboot every time with memory card)... But still the phone reboots when i played songs in walkman/ watch movie... But if remove the SD card then no issues with walkman or any other app using SD card.. I tried many different SD cards... Still the issue exists... But i have not faced the issue with GB 184 firmware

Can you give the link where i can download the ICS firmware(6.1.1.B.89) for Xperia Sola???
Flash new kernel
Yes, munjeni's original kernel had some problems like walkman FC's, launcher redraws etc.
So I flashed etch04's kernel and it sort of fixed that. I'm using v8.0 with ondemandq+sio. for some reason i had wifi problems with the later versions. You should check for yourself.

Its normal for a phone to heat up when browsing. Instal Gsam battery monitor to check your battery temperature if you have doubts.

[Q] [ISSUE] Screen flashing problem after update to 4.2

Hey guys,
I have tried to upgrade my Micromax A116 to the official update of 4.2 jelly bean. But as soon as i reboot my phone after flashing it using the basic SP tools method, my screen continuously goes on and off. Has anybody else come across this problem? If yes, then can you please share with me the solution? Now i am back to the stock rom of 4.1.2..Any kind of help is appreciated..Thank you..:cyclops: I really want to update it to 4.2.1..
PS: Am i the only one around here who thinks that the stock rom is better than any other custom roms for micromax a116?
There are others who reported the same problem. But as of now there doesn't seem to be any solutions as its happening to only some of CHD devices
Thanks

Just wanted to see if I was the only one. Thanks anyway
Possible Solution
1. Don't keep your mobile on auto-brightness.
2. Go to your WiFi and click on it and then hit the menu button on left and then go to advanced option and turn off WiFi optimization.
This will solve your flickering issue.
======================================
or enable Hardware overlay from developer options.
P.S: I am not experiencing any flickering so these steps haven't been tried by me.. try on your own and reply if it helped.:good::fingers-crossed:
I am facing the same problem. I tried hardware overlay and auto brightness but no success. I never tried WiFi though. I had flashed my device more than 10 times now.

Worth waiting for service center for 4.2 update for your phone. Stop experimenting further and stay on 4.1.2 backup.
WARNING: If you try SP TOOL to flash 4.2 on your phone for some more time, you may LOSE IMEI codes and phone will be literally useless and you need to give it to service center, with a RISK of service rejection coz you rooted it. If you dont know how to unroot and restore stock recovery, you will be in trouble. So keep using 4.1.2 and be safe. Later, dont tell people, no one warned you. Telling you from my own experience.
Should I flash using recovery mode ?

@cmahendra I have read one of your posts where you have mentioned that you had the same problem(Screen Blinking). Did you manage to get over it? Which method did you try to flash. Please share your experience. It will be quite helpful. At present I am planning to try TWRP recovery to flash. I do not know if it will work.... Will keep update.
Screen Blinking
Hello,
I followed the procedure several times.
this saturday I spent the whole day trying to flash 4.2.1 sotck rom on my phone. But, got the same screen blinking issue.
I've TWRP installed and tried the tweaked Flash-able rom as well as the SP tools flash-able one. but the same issue.
I followed below three routes:
1. Flashed stock rom .16 to make the phone factory state.
2. Then first tried flashing .20 update. Flashed successfully, but the screen started blinking as soon as the phone rebooted, i.e. right when the boot animation starts. I disabled auto brightness as well as disabled HW overlay. but the issue stayed.
3. I again flashed .16 and then 4.2.1 updated rom, first as 'Download' option in SP flash tools, but the same issue occured. I then tried, 'Firmware upgrade' still the same issue.
4. flashed .16 again; flashed TWRP, tried the tweaked zip flash-able rom, but same issue.
5. Tried custom ROM JellyDemon v2.2, the phone was not stuck at bootscreen.
6. in so much of flashing lost IMEI. so, flashed stock .16 again, installed TWRP, extended phone storage to 2.5 GB flashed Jellyxperia 4.1.2 based custom rom, swapped internal storage and then used Mobileuncle MTK toolkit to restore IMEI (I had used the same earlier to backup the IMEI to external SD card.
So, basically I'm back to square one after spending almost 8 hours to get 4.2 update :crying:. If only the blinking screen issue could be fixed :crying:

Now, I'm thinking as My phone is less than 30 days old, Should I give it to SVC to upgrade, I'll first flash the stock rom and then give it to svc, So, If they face the blinking issue, may be I could get replacement with updated stock ROM.. But need to find the svc in Noida or nearby

I am using TWRP and right now on 4.1.2 . Can not upgrade to 4.2 due to blinking issue. Should I flash using flickerfix.zip before upgradation to 4.1 or should do after upgrading to 4.2 ? I will use SP lfash tool to upgrade. I will really appreciate if you can provide a step by step guidance.
thanking you

I'm using Jellyxperia. it does not have blinking issue as it is based on 4.1.2.
It's faster than stock and I like the Walkman music player. However, I noticed that battery drains faster comparing to stock 4.1.2.
My collegue in office used to play Temple Run Brave during the complete office period with breaks of about 10-20 mins (he was serving notice period ). but the battery used to be at 30-40%.
But yesterday, the battery was down to 10% much before.
However, I would be sure only after a few days usage.
