Anyone else noticing this?
Go to Settings/Accounts/Google and select your Gmail account on the right.
The "Browser" option has vanished. As a result, I can't get my bookmarks restored after the factory reset.
Yep same here, I'm missing the News & Weather app & Phase Beam also...

Hi guys, been having this problem today with my Google Mail on my Hero. It seems that although it can download mail it can't send or delete mails.
When I try sending emails it just gets stuck on "sending...". And if I try to delete emails it will disappear from my Google Mail on the phone but not from my actual account ie I can still see the mail when I log in on the web.
Also, it is also not picking up that my mail has been read.
All this points to a problem with the Google IMAP service. Is anybody experiencing this problem? Any idea for a fix? I wanted to reset the setting on the phone but couldn't find out where the setting was and didn't want to do a factory reset.
You can try going to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications and clearing the data/cache for Gmail and Gmail Storage. I haven't tried this personally but I think that holds your login information and related data. It shouldn't destroy your actual data stored at GMail.

Well...actually it doesn't. It just clears the email cache so all your email gets downloaded again.
But I have found a solution to my problem after. a bit of reading. It seems like it is possible for IMAP labels to get out of sync with what is happening on the phone. So I deleted the IMAP folders and things are back to normal.

How do you delete the IMAP folders? One more question, if I have the caches on the SD card, how do I clean them? Thanks for help

What i meant was delete the IMAP labels in GMail. When I log into the GMail I see 3 IMAP labels for Drafts, Sent and Trash. So I just deleted these 3 labels.
To clear your cache just to go Settings > Applications and find the Google Mail application and clear all data.

Oh OK, now I understand about the lables.
But about the caches, ever since I have moved them to the SD card using TA utility (aka Cache 2 SD), going to the app via Manage Apps always shows the respective cache to be empty. But I do see the caches on the SD card. What to do now?? Am I doing something wrong??
You gotta click "Refresh" after sending an email or deleting or starring or whatever. Then Gmail application sends your updates to server and marks your emails related to whatever you did on your mobile.
Anyone.. need helps here. I tried to change my Google account. In 1.6 I usually go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Google Apps -> Click Clear data button.
But I couldn't find mine here... Please help anyone.. I think to reflash but afraid that will not solve the problem too.
I already tried to flash but not wipe all the data. But still no luck.
Thanks in advance.
Apparently there is NO Clear Button in Google Apps app like before at 1.6 . I already did factory reset my phone but still not there.
So how can I change my google account just like 1.6 did? This is weird.
Btw apparently GTalk App is VERY RELATED to Market App. So never touch it. (I wipe the Gtalk data and my market won't work anymore). Cannot find solution yet if we unintentionally touch the GTalk.
Another thing, Setup Guide app is IMPORTANT to GMail app to add another account. I removed it (Setup Guide app) before in order to optimize my phone but my Gmail app keep crashing when adding another account.
I've just recently reset factory data and installed ICS LPD on my sgs2.
Problem is... now my android mail (stock mail app) will not setup any account. It'll go to "retrieving account information" and then just say "connection failed".
I've managed to connect my 2 gmail accounts on the gmail app but they won't connect to my stock email app and neither will my hotmail account.
Maybe i've frozen some stupid samsung hub on titanium that shouldnt be frozen?
Can anyone lend me a hand?
i've actually just noticed that even if i defrost an app... now it doesnt actually defrost:/ what have i done?
Factory Reset
Perform a factory reset again with format system as well.
Setup email accounts before touching TB.

Hello everyone. Me and my few friends in Pakistan are facing gmail sync issues. The sync is not working and hence the updated emails are not showing. Is this just me or others are facing the same issue? The youtube is being blocked over here so does it has to do something with gmail app?

what about push messaging in other applications like facebook messenger? is it working? what you can do is go to settings >applications manager> all applications> gmail and clear cache and data . or in the worst case you can go to settings >accounts> Google and remove account . after that log in again using the same account .these steps should solve your problem

Cleared cache and data, no use. It says waiting for sync but email not picking up. I guess it is a server issue with our region.

then it's the problem with your isp!
hello ,I suggest you to do it again the secont that you recommended jaidev.s (go to settings >accounts> Google and remove account . after that log in again using the same account )
synchronizer will work once all , I've tried too many times , currently does not recognize Account on play store ,after the above everything was okay...
Google had problems earlier on today with servers, so may be linked to that?
working fine now

I finally got mine working:
What I think got it to work was going into System Settings/Data Usage then hit the menu button and make sure Auto-Sync data is checked on.
Then I went to Apps/All/Email/Force Stop/Clear Data
Then I Added the Account back in and it worked!!
Just in case, I had also previously done the following (but unsuccessful until I did the above):
I've updated the ROM, removed/re-added accounts, updated GAPPS, Revoked access/Signing in again in Google/Account/Authorizing Applications
I changed my FB password, now Google contacts sync is broke. I tried clearing the cache. I tried removing the cache. I tried reseting the phone (wiped all data) still will not sync. Any thoughts?

U changed your Facebook password and now your Google contacts don't sync..... Hmmm not sure I understand this. So u did a factory reset via recovery? Have u tried another android device? Maybe there's something wrong with your Google account itself.

Wow
You can adjust accounts by simply going into Settings/User and Backup/Accounts. Choose Google and look to the top right of the screen for a settings tab...... open that and you will see a sync all...... hope that helps
