Ok guys I've been having this problem for a bit. I flashed MIUIv4 on my phone in august and the speaker phone would have crazy feedback. A week later I flashed ICZen and still had the problem. Today I rooted my spare and put ICZen on it and the same problem is happening. Sooooo after countless reboots on my phone and a couple on the spare I have no idea what to do.
Please help me I need speakerphone
Under settings, Advanced there is In Call Volume Controll at the bottom.., there were issues with this as I recall, I can give you my settings, but first check speakerphone volume and adjust to your preference. Im at 2 but you may have to play with it, hope this helps..

I've read the other posts about people having broken/malfunctioning vibrate on thier Wallabies, and have the same problem. I just figured I would ask ya'll if you've had this problem, or might know why vibrate ceases to function. In all reality, it crapped out before the ROM update, which I was hoping would fix it, but this still did not. Anyway, please tell us if thier is a solution/reason. Think it's a Motherboard prob, or vibe prob? Thanks ya'll.
EDIT: My motor was burnt up... got a hold of another vibe motor and swapped. Works great now.
most probably ur vibrator has screwed up...
The vibrator on the XDA II keeps screwing up every now and then. I guess the build quality is not so good on the inner side of the XDA IIs. The vibrator has konked of more than once for me, the speaker gives an irritating noise speaking on a phone call....that makes me use the headphones all the time, and service guys dont have a clue on how to fix it.

My Phone lights up but no ringtones are heard when a call is being received.
When i answer it (my wife calling from her eris) there is no audio going through so i cant hear her. the same happens when i call her, she answers but cant hear me screaming down the phone, haha.
This happens 1/3 of the time, and is getting annoying. Is there a fix for this, has anyone else had the same problem, should i call Verizon? Can anyone direct/move me to a different thread. Looking for any leads at all.

I was having that problem for a while, too. I saw a suggestion on a forum that has seemed to help me. There is an option in your settings on 2.1 that automatically quiets the ringer of your phone when you pick up the phone. I switched this setting to OFF, and it has seemed to alleviate my problems. I hope that helps!

I have a problem with my tg01. The problem is that when I ring someone the person on the other side can hear me but I cant hear them. So I was woundering if anyone else has the same problem and if there is a fix to it. Also if there is no fix then how do I get it repaired as the phone is more then 6 months old and orange wont fix it.

Do you have SRS wow installed? is so soft reset after each install of the 3 cabs. Can you hear people if they ring you? Have you tried turning up the volume when you make calls, I think i had a handset that had no sound when set on vibrate/silent. When the volume was increased the sound came back.

Its driving me nuts seeing this topic repeatedly posted with no real answer if all owners experience it, or if the volume codes fix the issue.
I have the same volume issues with headphones connected and answering calls... can barely hear anything while on subway etc...
Hopefully the voodoo sound feature will be ported to SGS II soon...

yes, anytime I am in a mall or anywhere will back ground wind... it is very hard to hear the other person....
on a side not, kies keeps telling me there is an update available... each time I run it, I get some dll error... hence me browsing the forums right now!
Is this a third firmware update?
I have the same issue. Can't hear anything with headphones and without them the sound is very muffled, as if there is no treble. My N95 could go so loud that it hurt!

I must have superhuman hearing. Been on the phone yapping(work) around 2 hrs today, maybe 15calls in total. Have no complaints. And i work in a noisy enviroment. Machinery,etc.
Was using supplied headphones aswell.

Hi, this is my first post. I have similar issue. I have no problem in a room with low noise but when I'm outside or in a noisy room I barely hear the voice.
if the problem only with headphones then try using Voodoo Louder from the android market. that worked for me. i never had any problem with the headset volume on my sgs2.

My phone is unlocked[T- mobile galaxy s 2], I Have tried every GSM carrier[att pre paid, t- mobile pre paid,h20, Simple mobile, Real att, real t- mobile. (by real I mean contract) , Thought was network issues. It wasn't. Well, I gave up. Called Samsung and shipped my phone for repair. They were quick. from shipment to repair took less than own week and half. UPS second day ship and UPS second receive that four days plus three days repair. Well, the issue is gone!. They fixed the problem. What they did was raise all the sound volume Bars by default to 100 percent. I can tell this by going via volume settings. Now I'm scared of trying Any Rom coz I don't want to lose this settings. My phone was shipped back with original stock rom. Unrooted. Just rooted back. that's how far I'm willing to go , But then again ICS rom is spitting distance based on the news on my hears. don't know what to do. I hope Samsung can Distribute THIS ics ROM . with default volume up. Or hope xda can send a memo to their rom agents to default volume up. Its 20 million users out there in the galaxy two world. Crying for help. with this particular problem. Yes it's not hardware problem . its software problem. Proven.
Ok, i'm sure i'm not the only one having this issue. I'm stock and currently on the latest OTA and for some reason my phone likes to reset itself to max volume. I can almost always reproduce it with having headphones plugged in, playing a a song and when i open my dialer, it goes max volume. Its a persistent issue and i was wondering if anyone has had these similar issues and or possible knows of a fix? if its a known bug, then i guess i'll have to find a work around till another update is released . At the moment, i'm using Audio Manager to keep the volumes from changing again. I tried to recreate the issue again with the above process and it sounded like it was about to jump up then came back down so its working for now...just wish it worked properly is all. Anyone with this happening to them too?
Update: Ok, so i'm noticing when i start to have issues...i have my headphones plugged in and the beats app shows a notification...but beats is off when i check settings... possibility?
Update 2: Turning off beats and trying to recreate the issue no longer happens. guess its beats after all. guess i'll run without it for now. if its just me having issues and not anyone else, i'd appreciate hearing it from you guys to know what my next step should be thanks again guys!
Update 3: Damn it...went in with high hopes....still went to max volume when i went into the dialer....just didnt make my ears bleed since beats was off... i'm out of ideas...i wait for your responses....
Update 4: So i have not been able to stop looking for information and i found some other posts that helped. Alot of people were having issues with Tango. No problems now after uninstall! Hope this helps anyone that was having issues. Sorry if this was annoying >.< Now i know... (if it helped you, at least some good came out of it)
I've had the same issue on both mine and my wife's DNAs. We haven't used headphones with them though, so I don't think that's the problem. I have searched all over the net for tips and this is the first one that seems to work. Thanks!

I'm experiencing the same problem... Know what you mean about making your ears bleed. I use beats by Dre ear buds. Happened on my first DNA more frequently. I had it replaced after it was stolen. Didn't happen on the new one for weeks, thought I was in the clear. Will try uninstalling tango...
I would believe the idea about Tango. I used to have this problem all the time. I don't have Tango now and I haven't had the problem in a long time. Never knew or thought about Tango being the culprit. Thanks I will never go back and download it now.
