Hi,
Yes, I searched, nothing came up.
Yes I know this is the wrong sub-forum, but I'm not allowed to post in the development section so I figured maybe somebody here could say if they had the same issue.
I put CM10 on yesterday (Xperia neo, hallon) and it works a treat, except for one thing, the alarm. I noticed this morning that whilst the alarm worked no sound came out. The sound is set to maximum and it does ring for incoming calls and such. The phone does vibrate when the alarm comes on though.
Any others running CM10 with this issue?

funnily enough this is the CORRECT forum for this,as it is not dev related, and you are asking a question.
solution
try to set the alarm notification ring tone again. It should work.
Lucky me then!
I tried what you said, and got them working, ty!
And something else popped up which is related -- the volume (at max) seems to be quite low? Is that normal or....?

In CM roms yes, There is a solution in the cm10 thread and on their github page. Just search for it.
It only involves deleting a file or two...

Basically when I get a call, my ringtone starts quietly, and quickly increases the volume to max. (max being whatever you set as your ring volume.)
Does this happen on all of our phones? This was not an issue with my G1 AFAIRemember.
Thanks guys!
Its not a bug, its a feature. However I do agree there needs to be toggle options for a lot of little things on this phone, ie: battery notifications.
So as of right now, no. We'll just have to hope Samsung throws a lot of changes into their Froyo update...
All Samsung phones at least 4 which I had this feature so don't worry !

How exactly is this an issue ???? this is the 3rd or 4th thread I seen about this feature.... please explain .,.,,.,.,.,
I did search before I posted, I just did not see any relevant threads.
This is an issue because I personally dislike having this "feature". It was not a problem on my G1, and almost every other phone that I've used has it as a ringer option.
I checked all the service menu's hoping to find something relevant, to no avail lol.
Here's hoping CM fixes this =)

It is, for the most part a Samsung Thing. On all of the older samsung phones, The Ringer speaker was also the Ear piece Speaker. As well as the Speaker phone speaker.
That was done so when you put the phone to your ear and say an incoming call beats your out going call (Happens to me sometimes) The ringer does not damage your hearing.
the only work around for this so far is just to edit the ringtone and insert a few seconds of silence (2-3) in the beginning and then have the ringtone play out normally
Thanks for the info guys. I will try adding a few seconds of extra sound to the front of my ringtones for now.
Maybe this will be fixed with a proper CyanMod lol
I guess that gets rid of the fade-in, but it makes even less sense than before. Not really a practical solution to anything (not trying to flame). You're just going from your ringtone fading in, to not even hearing your phone ring for a few seconds.
I mean unless you like the first 2 seconds of your ringtone THAT much.
That's an annoying feature regardless.
Hello all,
I've tried searching via post new similar topic suggestion box but did not find anything.
But my question is this.
my vibrant sometimes randomly resets the sound volumes- incoming call/media/system/notification all of them.
Sometimes they are jacked all the way up sometimes really low.
does anyone have the similar experience? anyone know what's going on?
Thanks!
have you tried either
1.flashing a new rom
2.odin back to stock
So are you saying that for example you go to sleep and the volume setting is at maximum, but when you wake up its mysteriously set to low, then you look at it in an hour or so and its back up to maximum again? Thats how I understood the OP am I correct?
hello,
i'm on bionix 1.3.1 and i've done a fresh install. I ODIN'd to stock and flashed bionix.
Yes that's right, the volume randomly would be changed. It seems to occur at random. I guess I'm the only one with this issue....
I know its a little joke with all our devs who like to set our default sound notifications to silent on the initial flash. Thats what I was originally thinking was happening to you. But I never heard of this problem ur experiencing. I would think if a fresh ODIN & install didn't correct your issue it might be hardware defect, but even thats hard to believe. Good luck!
Hey every body.
I'm having a nightmare with my s3.
Back at the start of April I changed my from from stock to cyanogen mod 9.1.
It was rooted prior to this and never gave any issues.
Cyanogen 9.1 worked perfect until today. I'm not sure if its an issue with the ROM or the phone
Symptoms are if I call somebody there us no dial tone but I can tell when they answer because the timer starts timing the call but I hear nothing.
They can hear me alright but that's it.
I tried flashing back my stock from but the phone won't recognize the next SD card.
Can anyone help please. I need this phone working
Thanks
Looks like the issue sorted itself out on its own accord.
Can anyone shed some light on what to do if it does it again?
I have got the same issue. I don't know why is it happening, but I have the solution.
###
Turn ON the screen lock sound in the audio settings. Restart your S3. Thats it. Keep it on.

Losing my mind here.
This may be CM related (August 17th nightly ATM, but happens on the 10.1.2 release as well), or it may be app related, but it's driving me up the wall.
My phone will occasionally play a sound I have never heard before... With good speakers/headset, there is a low hum at first, then regardless of speakers, I get the high pitch beeps, ascending tone. This happens regardless of sound status. (On vibrate or silent, I still hear the beeps) and with no notification icon to go with it.
If anyone has any idea what this could be, I'm all ears!
Thanks!
** I posted this in the T989 device forum, but it is also happening on my Nexus 7, and on both a Cyanogen 10.1.2 and a Hellybean ROM so I'm confident it's not device related, and likely not ROM related. MODs feel free to delete the post in the device thread **
SOLVED Beep Annoyance
FINALLY!!!!
Ok, so I found the problem.
I was randomly reading my Google+ feed (yeah, I know, who does that right?) and saw a post in the Text+ circle. Someone had joined as a beta tester, and wanted to know how to turn off the beeping. Turns out, Text+ uses a series of beeps to calibrate their echo cancellation. I opted out of the beta, reinstalled Text + and all is good in the world.
Hope this helps someone else avoid repeatedly wiping their phone to try and find the problem!
Hey everyone-I need some help. I am not new to android or even this forum (I forgot my user name from a previous account so I created a new one). Anyways, I can't post in ChameleonOs's topic so I figured i'd try my luck here. I had put v .8 on my phone and played with it for a while. Very nice rom and layout but when I try to turn Bluetooth on via just hitting the button in the drop down or even in settings it just will not turn on. I watch it turn itself back off. The Bluetooth icon won't even show up at the top, I'll flick it on, it'll flick itself right off almost instantly.
Anyone know of any solution. I know it's a work in progress rom but I thought it had worked the last time I flashed it but I was trying other roms out too (CM 10.2 nightlies for example) but it just doesn't work on my phone at least. I switched back to the nightlies because I stream music to my car and Bluetooth is very important to me because I love music.
Reason I like ChameleonOS is because of the theme manager they have within the rom, well and the messaging app is pretty slick too. Hope someone can help me out..I seen Trekken was stopping development for the time being (hate to hear but totally understand). Thanks in advance!
He's still working on it as of 2 minutes ago when I was talking to him in hangouts. :good:

Ok cool, I didn't know if it had worked or not but thank you so very much for the update. I'll keep an eye on that thread for further updates or if you hear of anything first I'll check this one out too.
So I noticed he had uploaded an updated rom on his thread. I flashed that and I still have bluetooth shutting itself off. I noticed someone had said their Wifi don't work but mine does. I don't know if it is my phone personally. I am running baseband MDK and everything seems to be correct in the about phone section...just driving me nuts that bluetooth acting weird. Maybe I missed something? I love this rom just can't figure out what is going on
