Hi guys,
I downloaded french ICS for my Xperia U (I'm from Poland) and I flashed it with Flashtool. Now, how can I root it?

Open flashtool,connect the u with usb debug on and unkown application, in flashtool click root,adbrestore hack,restore rootme backup from u!
Or just use the tool stuck at the top of Xperia S development forum

Can anyone plz tell me about the adb hack ??? , i had rooted Gb, then updated to ICS , whenever i click root button on Flashtool nothing happens, tried binary its says NO SPECIFIED PATH FOUND or sumthing like that really confused what to doit, you anyone be kind enough to help me out plzzz !!!

1 Activate unkown sources and debug usb on
2 Download latest flashtool
3 Install it
4 Go in flashtool driver folder and run the exe
5 Install U driver and fastboot and flashmode driver.
6 Open flashtool as administrator
7 Connect U and wait flashtool say ST25
8 Click Root and adbrestore hack
9 Wait the U say restore root me backup,restore it!
10 Wait a while and when flashtool say disconnect device l,disconnect U
11 Reboot U and close flashtool!

In flashtool,root and you have the voice adbrestore
If i click on "Adb restore hack" flashtool does nothing... ST25i with St25a ICS firmware...

could any one help me to repair me sony ericsson xperia ray
i was unlocked the bootloader successfully
later i had an update so i do it then the device become off

Waiting for device!! Reinstall your adb driver if you dont have search xda!! Den in flashboot tool Der is driver.exe install dat put fone in software download mode and connect @ flashtool or wotanclient!! I suggest wotanclient cz it doesnt ask to put fone in debugging mode!! Hopefully it work all best wishes to bring your fone back from brick!!

and the two above programs still working and when the operation is done by any one of them,,, no think happen

Thre is a solution for adb waiting for device,try surf the inet,read more and search in the forum,all we can do is to guide u,u r the 1 that ned to rescue ur phone from being "bricked"

Why I need to flash the FTF if my phone NOT rooted please help help why I am getting this error ?!!!!
Go into Xperia Sola development section (you have sola, right?), there you find threads like [ICS][FTF] Official ftf... you can flash it without root - using flashtool - you will get unofficial official update.

Download official ics ftf from development section of ur xperia
Download flashtool
Install flashtool
Go to c/flashtool/drivers
Install drivers for ur xperia
Now switch of ur phone keep it aside
Go to flashtool
Click thunder icon
Select flashmode
Select ftf
Check no final verification
Check exclude ta
Click flash\start
Now it will ask u to connect ur phone in flashmode
Press the volume down button, keep it pressed and connect to usb
Flashing will start
Let it complete
U r done wait for flashing

You will get newest update if you follow these instructions (and if you download the right .ftf).
You DON'T NEED root for this.

@Ghost- this process can work without root
This will install latest os within a matter of seconds
Make sure u download latest ftf
U will loose warranty if the si number dun match

Try sus or pcc on another pc
Or take it to a service center

guys i want custom kernal of ICS for my xperia sola build 6.1.1.b.1.54 and Tutorial to install it.. with integrated CWM 5 plz guys.. i had heard that i using custom kernal i may be able to save my battery for long time... and i want Stock Kernel too of ICS if i bricked my phone.. may be i should flash with this Stock Kernal??? or what? plz tell me with turorial thankyou...

First thing is you must unlock the bootloader,than you can use flashtool to flash kernel.

Then you can use flashtool to flash kernel
Open at the directory you have installed flashtool exp( c>flashtool then click driver folder)
Tick your phone, flashmode and fastboot driver
Then you can flash kernel using fastboot mode
(select thunder icon in flashtool then select fastboot then select reboot to fastboot mode (at right) and then select kernel to flash, after everything done you have to select reboot device into system

so recently i downloaded some useless junk , just random stuff . but after 3 weeks, my phone suddenly got a major problem ! first problem that i had was the phone typed itself ! while i was tweeting the phone tweet random word and press the tweet button itself ! next , everytime i tried to press an app, type , it didnt open the app , type the word i want, never experience the before , i think my phone got virus in it and i downloaded an antivirus software but the software didnt detect anything ..help me , i dont think my phone was faulty bcoz i've been using it not longer than 1 year.everytime i tried to open an app , or type was just like nope i wont open what you want . please help meeeeeeeeeeee
Best thing to do now is reflash your phone with flashtool. If same problems will be after reflashing it means that can be hardware problems maybie.

Download some official firmware for Xperia U *.ftf files.
Then download flashtool by Androxyde.
Try searching
Tapatalk sig: I believe in god but I also believe in Metal. Does that makes sense? I hope so.

And you will need to put your phone into flashmode. To do so turn off your phone then when holding volume key down connect usb to phone. Then computer should detect it and you will be able to flash

hey soooo i've reflashed my phone...but the problem is still there ....is there any way to reset the phone completely incuding all the thing in sd card

In flashtool folder go to grivers folder, install the for your phone and on the bottom of the list are fastboot and flash drivers, tick them also. After install reboot and you'll be fine.
To your problem, doesnt that happen only when you charging?

Exactly, your flash was not sccessfull, first follow what I wrote earlier, you can try to connect the phone in fastboot ot flash mode, you will see the led will be violet in fastboot and green for flash.

that is for sure a hardware problem 'cause it happened to me before i have the same phone (st25i)
and it was the touch in the screen that is acting by itself.
Sounds like your digitizer is dieng may need to replace

I've got a little problem with my xperia u running cm9. On stock rom everything works great but after installing cm9 (slimcm) flashtool does not see my device and tells me to install driver to it. Is there any way to make my pc see my phone with cm9?
btw i have locked bootloader and i am using slimcm pached atis112 patch

Try install flashtool's drivers? Drivers should in flashtool file.
Install the drivers in the /Flashtool/drivers directory.

I've got them installed and on stock system everything works well, but after installing cm9 flashtool said that I don't have drivers installed.
Install the drivers in the folder /Flashtool/drivers then while installing select your device from the check box and scroll down to the last for fastboot and flashboot drivers and it will be fine...

The problem is that everything works with stock sony rom, but after flashing cm9 my pc does not see my phone. I think that isn't pc related.
It can be, what CM do you use? Original or FXP?
Yes, but patched for locked bootloader - maybe this is the problem
If your computer can read flash drives or any other USB device, then I don't think that is a the PC, if in stock it can be read then it's about the ROM, maybe is a bug.
