Hi folks,
i searched the whole Evo3D forums but i didn't find the right awnser to my question. My Evo3D currently runs with the custom rom from monx which is called "RomeOS3D Evo3D ICS". The rom is nearly perfekt for me only some small issues. I installed the rom 6 month ago and now i want to reinstall my phone. Sadly i have read that "RomeOS3D" discontinued
I read something about Cool Rom and Yoda ICS. Maybe some could me a tip what actual rom i should install. I need a good balance between speed and battery level.
Thank you :victory:
Either is a good choice, just flash each one and make your own decision, warning this thread will be closed, so flash both and decide yourself
( Don't ask me for help, as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh!!!)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668918. Cool ICS ROM was very good to me. If you want AOSP I suggest Disarmed toaster (jellybean! )

Cool ICS v14a question
I have the Cool ICS v14a ROM installed on my HTC Evo 3D and it works perfectly, but...two apps installed from google play(Revision3 and Hak5) are not working, after the install I start them and all I see on the screen is the Revision3 starting screen and the app freezes.
there was not problem on the other rom (MIUI).
any solution?

Hey guys, sorry for this thread. I may sound like a noob but thats only in the flashing and recovery areas. Someone please explain what are custom roms. Is cm7 a custom roms. Once installed, can I revert to the stock rom? How do I get Clockworkmod Recovery.
How do I unbrick a Dell XCD35 aka ZTE Blade.
Device : Del XCD35
A custom ROM is one that has been amended by the cook to suit his taste and specific needs therefore is customized, the opposite of custom is a stock ROM which is the ROM that comes on the device from the manufacturer, out of the box
You can normally revert to stock after a custom be either restoring a backup taken pre custom or running an ruu which is a ROM update program which re installs the original stock roms, you should see these in your devices forum
afraid that I don't know anything about Dell devices so won't comment on recovery install

Hi guys im a noob (yeah i watched the video)
Can you tell me the best rom for me?
I want a stable rom and kernel with at least gingerbread 2.3.4 pre-rooted kernel must be overclockable and undervoltable (btw i would be happy if you told me best undervolting settings at 1.6ghz) it shouldnt be a Battery eating rom and i want it to be highly customizable (not really neceasary) and it shouldnt be updated frequently (wont be necessary if it is stable and enough) thx already sorry for bad english and for being a noob this is my very first android phone.

noob + overclocking + undervolting = wary result.
Anyhow, If bleeding edge is not your thing, you could try Cognition 1.5.1 with Ragemod kernel (in Original Dev). This is quite stable for past MY USAGE and fits your bill.

I would recommend revolution rom in original android development.
Root your phone. You'll need a kernel with clock work mod installed.
Download the kitchen app. Open the app. Press menu download rom. Then install once download completes.
Once done i would recommend tge cf root kernel v4.2 downloadable from the app. It's quadrant scores are over 4000. I only loose 1% battery overnight and another guy using the rom and kernel went 6 days without charge.
This kernel you cannot undervolt or overclock buy clearly you won't need to.

If you have time, try them and find what matches your requirement.
revolution rom with kitchen app is cool option you may try Darkytool too to uninstall or install apks.
im using batista 2.0 with speedmod kernal and it is sick !!!!! try it let me know what you think
You're only going to find the best ROM for you by trying them. Become familiar with Clockwork Mod Recovery and something like Titanium backup and flash 'till you find something you like.
I'm using Villianrom with the Nymphetamine kernal and I couldn't be happier.
Thanks guys im now using sensation with siyahkernel but i will definitely try Revolution with kitchen app

Batista70 Foxhound 2.1 ROM seems great. Also checkROM. I use Revolution ROM. Don't know, just try them all, it's fun!
Defiantly Resurrection Remix or RootBox for now any way
And kernel either Fluxii, CM9 Remix or Siyah

Bumped from last year? Best ROMs are subjective, test them and make your own decision.
Hey Guys:
I have my amaze 4g running on android 2.3.4; htc sence 3.0 and quicksense v2.1.2
Right now I want to flash to the latest version of android but It was not me who flashed my phone last time.

And I do need wifi calling and multi languages suppoted on my android. I recently found the ARHD and ENERGY are both fast and stable, but can not figure out which works better for me.

Got my SGSIII 1 month ago and I thing now its time to root.
I am coming from an HTC so I am new in Samy's but not in rooting ....
I thing I am going to choose the "Toolkit rooting way" ...
Should I do an nandroid backup from the toolkit or later from CWM? or is this same?
My stock rom is a ZSALG3 Build with I9300XXLG3 BB-Version.
Do I need to consider anything for choosing (CSC,...?) my custom rom?
I would like to have a stock- close Custom Rom with some nice mods and good batterie life?
no need overclocking ......
What Rom and Kernel can you suggest for the beginning?
From my first look I like the Omega (newest) Rom but I have no Idea which Kernel I should choose.
Thanks for your help!

Hi I was in the same boat as you a couple of days a go (coming from HTC but wanting to root). Things were a bit different but was easy to get my head around.
I used Odin and everything was explained in the 1st post on that topic. I just followed it to the letter and am now happily rooted! I was worried I would lose data but it just installed recovery and opened the phone for root permissions.
I have since installed criskelorom without losing any data and the battery life has improved dramatically. I've also got siyahs kernel which has made things even snappier.
Overall the process was extremely easy compared to when I rooted my desire hd, but I'm pleased I have done so!

I got myself this Micromax A90s this new year. I m quite pleased with the phone. Everything was fine except for GPS and battery (gets over pretty soon). 1 fine day i installed juice defender nd read of that Cpu control option. Was excited and ROOTED my phone. But now its laagging a bit and GPS problenm still persists, so basically i got nothing. As there aren't many custom ROMs available as in the case of A110. Now i want to have my stock ROM back so that i can atleast avail my warranty for the year. Is there a process like A110 to get back STOCK ROM? If yes, please suggest some solutions.
