How to change ROMS from Lite'ning to MIUI

Im using a galaxy s2 with Lite'ning rom (android 4). But i couldnt resist the MIUI UI (android 2) so decided to change to it. I placed my zip files in the internal storage and reboot CWM to install the zip. But to no avail, my phone gets stuck in boot loop twice. so im wondering is it because of the different android version that my phone refuse to boot? How can I overcome it to install MIUI?
Thanks in advanced
Did you do a full wipe?
- Reboot in CWM
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Flash MIUI.zip

I did all of this and it still loops at welcome screen T_T
- Reboot in CWM
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- /format system
- Flash MIUI.zip
I would throw /format system at the end.
Its under mounts and storage in your CWM menu

Clean Slate for those that balls up the firmware .Or need to return to service or decide if its hardware/firmware problem .
Backup data first if phone is working .
Boot CWM recovery
Mounts and Storage
Format cache data system sd card .
Remove battery
Boot to download mode
Open Odin
Install correct stock firmware or even your original firmware .
Still fails install old bootloader .

here is the best way solve ur problem as this has happened to me as-well,
first thing is download the stock rom form sammobile.com, then flash it using odin and then re-root and install CWM then install Miui Rom, if ur still stuck in the boot-loop then do a full wipe, if still stock, then try a deferent miui rom customized here is whet i have in my phone and its amazing and fast and batter saver for me,

Xperia x8 Custom ROM

I installed Shin Engine v3 and SE V5 but both dont worked. I followed that steps:
"Installation
Download Rom and copy to Sd card
Reboot into CWM Recovery
enter Mount and Storage -> /format system
Wipe data/factory reset -> Wipe cache partition enter Advance -> /wipe dalvik cache /wipe battery stats
Flash ROM = wait until finish
Reboot. Done". That you can get it here. "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551522"
I unlock root and bootloader, installed nAa 11 Kernel.
Then after I install the rom I reboot and then the cellphone keep rebooting infinitely.
What can I do?
Flash Alfs v08a CM7 no FPS cap version(optional, but always working+better performance). I tried these ROMs and they worked. However, if you use an ICS ROM like ShinEngine V3(not BostonEngine v5), you MUST use nAa ICS kernel!! Otherwise it won't work for you. If you have the correct kernel, correct ROM and still not working, try reflashing the ROM and NOT wiping everything and vice versa.
Good luck!

[Q][U]Problem installing TheBrainRom_08

Hey guys! i have a problem every single time i try to install this rom.
1. I flash via flashtool the 6.1.1.B.1.54 ftf
2. I root my phone and install a CWM (LockedBootloader)
3. I copy the TheBrainsRom_v08 in internal storage (after copying META.inf and boot.img from TheBrainsRom_ICS03_lockedBL)
4. I boot into recovery
5. Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> TheBrainsRom_ICS08_slim.zip -> Yes Install.
6. After installation i select Wipe cache partition -> Yes wipe cache.
7. I select advanced and i do wipe dalvik cache.
8. After doing that i select go back and at the main menu of the recovery i selectg reboot system now. I see a message saying ROM may flash stock revovery on. THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE.
What i am i suppose to do now? When i click yes i just see the Sony logo for more than 1 hour. What i am i doing wrong?
Thank you and sorry my bad english.
Hi, im using v8 with 6.1.1.B.10 baseband. As far as i know v9 is for .54
You dobt need to use the locked method of v3
Simply flash stock 6.1.1.B.10
Root and install cwm
Enter cwm
Flash v8
Wipe cache and dalvik (also data if you wish, still not mandatory)
Reboot twice
Done

-v8 is for B.1.10 firmware, not for B.1.54
-Don't do point "3" of your list, not needed anymore

Cannot boot Xperia P

Just tried the CM10 FXP220 and when I tried to restore the stock backup the phone hesitates to boot.
Here's what I did:
1. Made a CWM backup of stock
2. Reboot
3. Flashed the FXP Kernel through fastboot
4. Reboot
5. Wipe data/factory reset
6. Wipe Cache partition
7. Install Zip
(a) FXP220
(b) gapps
8. Wipe data/factory reset
9. Wipe Cache partition
10. Reboot
11. Tested CM for 10mins
12. Reboot
13. Again on CM
14. Reboot
15. Entered CWM
16. Restored the backup of stock
17. Wipe Cache partition
18. Wipe dalvik cache
19. Reboot
20. System booted successfully
21. on Stock
22. Reboot
23. System halts on Sony logo
What could be the possible reason? any fix?
Try installing stock ftf via flashtool, install CWM and then try restoring...
No idea why that happens, but the second boot of my ported XU got stuck like that.. Bt it booted in a few minutes
Press thanks if I helped:thumbup:
