Is this working well for you on the TP?
edit. no longer relevant
Guys, sadly this doesn't work on the TP I tried it some time back but the TP reboots to moboot shortly after the installation begins.
It's a shame as this gives great improvements in multiple areas (I flashed it on my SGS 2 and it made wonders)
Edit: As of v2.0 it works on he TP, I highly recommend it.
Which one should i download? LDPI, MDPI, HDPI or XHDPI?

Here are the stock deodexed roms for anyone that uses them. There are absolutely not changes at all except that it has been deodexed and zipaligned. There are no code changes or file tweaks at all.
The package is split into two parts, the first zip is the main zip that MUST be flashed. The second zip is all the bundleware that was removed, install if you want the bundleware back.
If there is a patch listed for a rom, it is recommended to install that after flashing the base rom.
You must use the normal pkg before installing, so for example if you want to use the stock 360 one you should update with the 360 pkg and THEN use this.
Requirements:
Clockwork Mod installed
Matching pkg flashed beforehand*
Instructions:
Prereqs: Update with the matching PKG
Copy latest base zip to sdcard
Copy latest patch zip to sdcard
Turn off device
Set vibrator slider to on/up
Press and hold Vol Down + Power Until menu appears
Select base zip from list and flash
Select patch zip from list and flash
Finished
Optional: Root your device
Available Roms:
325:
base v1 zip
removed files v1 zip
408:
base v1 zip
removed files v1 zip
So far so good.

Just finished pushing the deoxed version to my phone, no issues so far.
I released CWM 5.5 now so these images will be taken down soon and converted into standard update zips.
The pre-rooted one will be completely removed as you can simply flash superuser.zip afterwards
the updates have been converted over to update zips and the old ones have been removed.
Their contents are identical though, if you had previously flashed the img version you do not need to reinstall the zip version.
325 has been added
can u make a versions with russian/ukrainian languages?
I will release a lang pack for 408 soon, I dont recall if ukranian is in it, russian is though
multi-language update v3 for 408 deodexed: http://hotfile.com/dl/143658861/6dc843c/update-Russian-for-DELL-Venue-408-v3.zip.html
Russian, Ukrainian, etc.

Can somebody explain to me, what's the difference between 325 and 408 ROMs?
---------- Post added at 03:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:08 PM ----------
And also, as far, as I understood from the FAQ, I should install stock 408 ROM and then flash 408.zip?? If yes, where can I find stock 408 PKG?
325 - Android 2.2 - Froyo
408 - Android 2.3 - Gingerbread
And yes, u must flash at first rom, and then deodexed

pkg file must be flashed 1st. So are you saying.
Install 408 recovery,
rename Thunder_408_20707_14.pkg to update.pkg
use 408 recovery to flash update.pkg
Then,
Install CWM
Use CWM to flash base v1 zip
then CWM to flash removed files v1 zip (assuming this is what is being called as latest patch)
Correct?
If you are not already on 408: yes, you should flash the 408 pkg.
If you are on it, you can skip the flashing of the update.pkg
Also yes on the actual install, you need to use a custom rec to flash the update.
The removed files are just that, they're files that I removed since they're not needed.
I simply made a seperate zip for anyone that actually wants it.
Links updated, be aware that I currently do not support them.
I wont be able to assist with any issues with them
May be someone have multi-language update v3 for 408 from post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21793422
Re-upload please.
Hello,
For a while now I have not have acess to editors choice apps nor top apps. Here is the fix.
1. Place the zip file at this link into the Main storage of device.
2. Take a look into the ROM zip file you flashed earlier or you are using ( system/app) and delete phonesky.apk and marketupdater.apk or vending.apk
( please make sure you have a separate saved ROM zip file bfore editing. just a precaution).
3.place the phonesky.apk in the zip file above or at the link ( system/app to get, to phonesky.apk) into the ROM zip file you are using.
4.Boot into CWM and Reflash ROM zip file. reboot device.
5.Boot into CWM and flash the zip file in the link above.
6. You are done. you should see the image attached to the thread, that's the full gplay look.
Please enjoy.
Thanks

-This is An edited meta-inf can fix all status errors on all Zip's
-Are you having problem while flashing a zip?
If yes this is the perfect way to get it fixed follow all steps to fix your issue
-I make this threat originally for cm11 but then I downloaded a zip and it won't be flashed so I tried replacing the meta-inf folder and it works
-Method for all zip's:
1.extract the zip , and copy your updater scripts to this directory of my meta-inf. meta-inf/com/Google/android here
2.now but the meta-inf into the zip that you want to flash using Rar for android or winrar on PC
3.now recompile the zip with new meta-inf
4.now just follow the instructions of flashing the file
5.you are done now
-Method for cm11 rc13 update :
i tried flashing this update and I doesn't work I tried replacing the meta inf with the previous method but didn't work too so I created this new method only for cm11 rc13
-this update is a patch and it will work only on a clean rc12 update
If you get an error while verifying or any error after replacing the meta-inf this means that you need to reflash rc12 update without any wipes and then flash the rc13 update and it will work
Credit:

2. @slimps (this meta-inf is from his modded cm11)
3.finally @madkita (me)

Rar for android: http://www.apk4fun.com/apps/com.rarlab.rar/

-I am making this threat to help people having issues with cm11 installation
-so here I have uploaded a meta-inf folder witch will make any version of cm11 flash able via cwm 5/6/and philz touch and fix for all status errors
-Note: this meta-inf doesn't have any updater scripts you have to add the cm11 updater scripts by your self which can be founded on the directory /Meta-inf/com/Google/android/ on the ROM package
Just copy it to the same directory of my meta-inf and replace the meta-inf folder inside the package using winrar on PC or Rar on android and now just go to cwm 5/6 or philz touch and flash the update and voilla status errors gone this method is for all RCS from 1-12
-Method for rc13 update :this update is a patch and it will work only on rc12 update without any modification for the system files
If you get an error while verifying build.prop or any error after replacing the meta-inf this means that you need to reflash your ROM without any wipes just flash the ROM zip and then flash the rc13 update and it will work
Tested on:
-Galaxy ace cooper running rc12 and with Philz touch recovery
-Galaxy ace cooperve running rc12 with cwm 5 recovery
-Downloads:
Rar for android: http://www.apk4fun.com/apps/com.rarlab.rar/

I want to apply this method in other devices. Can you help me?
Just copy the meta-inf of ROM that you want to install to the directory on the guide it will work for all devices
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA Free mobile app
Hmm i don't get it
I would like to deodex the Codex system. How Can I do that? 232 Stock-based update. I have the Sony Xperia z2.
This is a very compressed and short guide, but hopefully it'll help you to start (it assumes you already have your phone rooted and have recovery installed) :
1ST OF ALL : MAKE NANDROID BACKUP.
you'll need to have JAVA installed on your machine, download and install that.
- on your device, enable "usb debugging" from developer options
- connect your device to PC, click "allow" on device for usb debugging
- have adb.exe on your pc, navigate to that folder and press shift+right click in empty space in the folder, choose "open command window here"
- in the cmd window that shows up type these commands in order :
adb pull /system/app system/app/
adb pull /system/priv-app system/priv-app/
adb pull /system/framework system/framework/
adb pull /system/vendor/app system/vendor/app
adb pull /system/build.prop system/build.prop
this will get you a folder next to your adb.exe file called "system" with all the files inside
- open system/vendor/app folder and copy "ims" and "chrome customizations" to system/app folder
- open system/framework/ folder and copy "SemcGenericUxpRes" to system/app folder
download deodex tool from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/tool-deodex-tool-android-l-t2972025 (if you're not sure if your system is 32 or 64, get the 32 version)
- extract SVADeodexerForArtx32.zip to your c:/ drive
- open SVADeodexerForArt.exe and browse to where your "system" folder is (same folder as adb.exe)
- check app/framework/priv-app in the program options
- click deodex
- once done, create a flashable zip file from the resulting folders (remember to move files from "app" folder back to "framework" and "vendor" folder in the same order, or you'll get FCs)
- have SuperSU and flashable NUT recovery too on sdcard
- flash deodexed zip, then flash SuperSU and NUT recovery files again
- clear cache/dalvik, reboot
This is a rough guide, basically how I do it. if you need further help, post here and I'll try to respond or someone else will help/correct me if I made a mistake.
thanks
i deodexd with SVADeodexerForArtx64.exe
after that
how to create flashble zip
and which folders will i zip?
pls tellme bro
see attached file for creating flashable zip.
you need to copy the deodexed version from the SVADeodexerForArtx64 folder (you'll find app, framework, priv-app folder there) just open the zip with winrar, drag and drop folder, do a replace (don't change any settings).
Remember to move the "SemcGenericUxpRes", "ims" and "chrome customizations" to their respective folders (framework and vendor/app) to avoid FCs
Once you do that, your deodex file is ready to flash, then after that reflash SuperSU and NUTs recovery.
thanks
thanks bro.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I'm not sure if this zip will work for Android 6.0 since it's not available to test atm. Let's wait until it's out and see then
To confirm your rom is deodexed, use a file explorer with root acces (es explorer) and navigate to /system/, then do a search for "odex" and you should not find any files.

NUTs dual recovery is what is used on locked bootloader Z2 phones, it has both CWM and TWRP for you to choose from, just google "NUTs dual recovery Z2" or search the forums here for more details.

i did all you said, but after flashing the deodex.zip with the deodexed apkĀ“s inside i get bootloop.
Tried everything but no chance. Always bootloop - damn
Quick scenario: I am working on a Nook Simple Touch UK ROM zip (now obsolete), trying to get from it the essentials that make it "UK" and move them into/replace similar files (mostly images and documents, but maybe one or two system apps) to the current US version of the ROM so that everything will function properly, but the ROM will have the look and feel (and localization options) of the obsolete UK ROM. There's not a lot to change.
The zips don't open for inspection properly in anything I've tried except 7zip. I can move/overwrite files from one ROM to the other, but there does seem to be a slight compression going on and I have no idea how to stop this. In WinRAR I could, but I don't see any similar option in 7zip. Then the zip contents go into a CWM flashable zip.
Preparing the CWM zip with no changes to the current US ROM gives an error-free flash and a functioning result. But if I change even one file (like the boot splash screen--same name, same file size--until moved), the flash fails almost immediately.
I asked someone about internal checksums before ROMs would install but they did not think there were any on these ROMs. Now I wonder. I don't see anything that looks like a checksum or even a "to do" list.
Have I missed some fundamental step or am I using my tools incorrectly (or the wrong tools)? One last thought, these are "update" zips, if that makes any difference, so on their own they would not wipe user data, for example.
Edit: I think I've got it!
1. Unzip (not just "open") both zips with WinRAR (7zip would not extract the update zips for me)
2. Drag alternate versions of files from one folder to the other
3. Zip up with 7zip
4. Open CWM update zip (just has META-INF folder) and ROM update zip with 7zip
5. Drag contents of ROM update zip to CWM zip.
6. Copy new CWM zip to CWM card and flash.
7. SMILE!
