Sorry for my BAd english this text is traslated from french by google !!
If you have an AOKP Custom ROM or AOKP based rom,
Goto Settings -> ROM Control -> Battery -> Battery icon style and see if you have selected Don't Show.
You can change that to something else.

Hi,
I looked in the noob guide to see if I could understand, but can someone please explain what the ROM abbreviations mean.
Please correct the ones I have wrong and answer the ones I don't know. Thanks for taking the time to help me.

One more thing, when resetting battery stats, should that be done on a full battery or near empty?
It should be done when the battery is fully charged.
These are the steps I follow (I have CWM):
1. Charge to 100%.
2. With Vibrant plugged in, boot to recovery.
3. Go to advanced > wipe battery stats > select ‘yes’
4. go back > reboot phone (unplug after phone has rebooted).
5. Use phone until battery dies.
6. Charge to 100% with the phone off. (Not sure if the charging with the phone off is really necessary)
7. With Vibrant plugged in, turn on phone and wait for media scanner and launcher to finish loading before unplugging.
You will find different steps/techniques, this is what I do and it seems to work well.
I always charge to 100% before flashing a new ROM, that way I don't have to reset the battery.

I've always thought it was Button Light Notification !
I'm so tired I can't verify which one is correct

You could be right, I'm not 100% sure. Button Light does sound more correct.
Hello Guys,
i have one big Problem.
From time to time the Screen from my s3 freezes.
The Hardware Buttons are lightning and turns dark and if you touch, they are lightning again
The Status bar/notification bar is also displaying Motion (if you download files and it freezes)...
But the other Screen freezes, the only Thing you can do, is turn out battery restart... everything works fine...
i tested various Roms (whole Omega Series (v59., omni Rom v5, v34, AOKP Rom), Slim Rom), but with EVERY Rom the same..
it freezes sooner or later
is this a Hardware defect? what else can i do? i have wiped all data every flashing...
now my last test ist do Flash original sam Rom...
hello there, I wanted to sell my phone(xperia pro) so I flashed stock fw, but battery indicator stuck at 100% (its fine when I use custom rom).so anyway to use stock fw and kernel with no problem?
I also have battery drop problem with all kind of roms, the promblem could be with phone or battery?(i did wipe battery stats and similar stuff)
everyone know what is the problem of my device? im on xt1521. after flash custom rom my charging display is gone. (Charge in off) i tried to flash another rom and its the unofficial cm6.0 and the charging display is work again.. then i go back to stock firmware and the charging display is not work again..
All the custom roms i use seems to have charging problems... My phone wont charge like it used to in miui.. i googled and found out the battery temperature has to fall below 40°C to enable fast charging.. But i found out the battery temperature remains constant at 40-41° even when no apps are running.. So even though its showing the phone is charging the battery actually drains.. i have used lineage os, pixel experience, crdroid , also tried ressurection remix but that was broken. Nonetheless all the custom roms were failing at the charging.. Rest everything was proper and smooth.. Just due to this problem i reverted back to miui developer rom and everything seems fine.. Does anybody know what went wrong?
I faced similar issue on custom rom (havoc) and after disabling USB Debbugging from developer option , I was fine.
I am assuming you are charging with given cable/adapter
After install custom Rom is recommended to calibrate the battery. Make sure battery percentage in twrp and in Rom is same. Delete batterystat.bin from file manager of Twrp, then charge battery to full 100%. While charger connected, boot into system. After finish booting remove charger.
Greenify will help stop unused background apps. FDE.AI (magisk module) also help for Android optimizer, should help for battery saving.
