Hi all
I have installed both AOKP build 4 and CM10 nightly Jelly Bean on my Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300. Unfortunately, in both ROM, the WIFI works but very unstable. It dropped after 10 mins or after the phone went to sleep for a while. I have tried a few methods to work around including the *#0011# trick, reflash to stock, turn on wifi then reflash JB. There are only two methods that work. First, using WifiFixer which is an app that can be downloaded from Google Play Store. And the other is to install Siyah kernel latest version (1.7b4) which has updated Wifi driver. Hope this helps

Dear all,
I noticed that my P7510 running on ICS 4.0.4 (XWLP5) has an unstable WiFi connection when the received WiFi signal strength is not maximum (2 or 3 out of 4 bars). Connection often disappears and when trying to reconnect to the WiFi network manually, the there is no response. Turning off / on Wifi on my Tab is no solution to the problem either. Even a full reboot does not always help. I updated from HC 3.2 to ICS 4.0.4. after full flasing HC 3.2 first.
Is this a known issue? I cannot find any decent info on this. Or is there a ROM that fixes this? Please help. Thanks in advance.
I had no problem with the WiFi what so ever not with 4.04 and not with cm 10 jelly bean
Did you have that problem on 3.2?
Try and flash the official ICS from sammobile with odin
Thankfor replying. I did not have this issue HC 3.2. I went back to stock HC3.2 and updated via WiFi to official ICS v4.0.4. No official releases for my country for P7510 are available for my Tab, but other official ICS v4.0.4 versions I tried from Sammobile have same issue.
I'm thinking to go to CM 10 release, but since wiping is required and my P7510 has brick bug, I'm hesitating to do this operation.
Try the sammobile UK version that's what iam running and it had no problems
Cm10 is faster than official ics and gives u much more options It's a better experience at least for me except for a bug or tow but some people don't even notice them
About the brick bug I don't know what that is cause I had no problems wiping data so i can't help u their sorry

I already tried UK version from Sammobile, same WiFi issue when signal strength is not maximum. Regarding the brick bug: check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1879941

I don't know what it's not working for you every thing oky with me
About the brick bug....... I just checked and as it turned out I too have the brick bug and I have actually ran EXPERIMENTAL-p4.zip
I have wiped the data and installed custom roms more than I can count......i don't know maybe it's over-rated or iam just lucky!!
Iam afraid to do it again now but he says here "Avoiding brick:
The only danger now seems to bi if you are on stock ICS ROM and you execute factory/data reset in Samsung recovery.
If you are using custom ROMs and CWM you should be safe because all custom ROMs/krenels have now removed mmc_cap_erase() from list of capabilities."
Iam running a custom rom so I don't know.....
Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE, Flashed latest Paranoid Android (pa_i757m-2.99-11DEC2012-081142.zip) and Jelly Gapps (gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip) and ICS Modem (ICS_modem_I757MUGLH2-flash_this_in_CWM.zip)
Have done wipe and re-flashed several times. Tried reverting to a different rom then wipe and flashing again.
My GPS will not pick up a satellite. It will search for GPS forever.
Please help.
I love Paranoid Android but broken GPS is no fun.
i have new problem in my i9100 ..i am now in rootbox rom 4.2.2 last nightly with dorimanx kernal 9.16 and wifi work good but when i update new dorimanx kernal update over the old one the wifi not work ,at all kernal ..even stock one but when i remove my sim card wifi work with all kernals again sooo any help please
Read about it in the dorimanx thread, either development or support. The wifi drivers were recently changed for the kernel. If the recent kernels have wifi issues, then you'll have to stick with the old ones or change to a different kernel. The new drivers work for 80% of users, the other 20% are our of luck as your hardware is incompatible. Bad luck mate :/

I got this problem that wifi won't work. But didn't tried no sim cart input!
Anyway I found the solution. If the rom you are using has the wifi region code setting in wifi advanced option, set it to a country (I chose Australia) it will do the trick and your wifi will work! And any rom without wifi region code option you will have this wifi connectivity problem since dorimanx said he won't investigate to solve this issue.
thanks my friends i fix it by wifi fix manager apk and change my region automaticaly and work again ...thanks again
Hi,
I have installed custom jelly bean CM 10 from this link after going thorugh forums.
-Flashed the kernel.
- installed CM 10 from downloads of CM site.
-Installed gapps.
every thing works fine including camera , internet on wifi etc but for some reasons 3G and bluetooth doesnt works after CM10 installation.
does 3G and camera supported in cm10??
Every thing works well check your network settings... Now we have stable jb roms
What kernel did you flash?
Is anyone else having issues lately with their GPS lately? I'm having times where it takes >3 minutes to get a fix, whereas I used to get a fix in <15 seconds. And even when I get a fix, it's not very strong. I've tried the modification for the gps.conf file, but that hasn't helped.
This seems to be a problem that crops up occasionally on the I777. It also seems to be independent of firmware. Usually rebooting the phone will clear the problem, at least temporarily.
So, a couple of questions.
First, if you can, go back to the original gps.config.
If you reboot, can you get a quick lock immediately afterwards?
What firmware are you running? Stock un-rooted, stock rooted, or custom rom?
Known issue on newer CyanogenMod ROMs.
Samsung Galaxy S II
CyanogenMod 10.1.3 Stable/AOCP ICEE
AJK BOSS 4.9 Kernel

Any replies/leads on fixing the GPS issue?
So basically, noone with a solid reply on the GPS fix. Sure it is a known problem then that means dont use newer versions of Cyanogenmod or dont use it at all if you want to also be able to use GPS?
I have downloaded all possible programs to help with the GPS and I still I am only able to get signal by using WiFi (so basically just with cell phone towers).
Anyone with a solid idea on how to fix this?
thanks again
