my ace can read the sdcard, but my laptop cant read it

i just flashed my ace with costume ROM mush69ROM . ive found the problem with my sdcard. the sdcard cant be read by my computer, but all of data in sdcard can still work on my device. first, i thought the sdcard was broken, so i tried put the sdcard to other device, and result is my laptop can read it. the second i tried the other sdcard to my ace and i connect the ace to my laptop, and the result is the same, my computer cant read that other sdcard.
does it mean my ace sdcard port was broken ?
thanks

It may have happened because your primary partition is ext instead of fat32. If so repartition and reformat the memory card

[Q] Formatted internal sd to ntfs

By pure accident I formatted the internal sd card on my atrix to ntfs. The problem is I cant seem to mount it in order to format it back to fat32. Any ideas?
How do you 'accidently' format the internal SD to ntfs???
How did I 'accidentally' format the internal sd card. Had an external sd card in, which for some reason was named to mot as well. Wasn't paying to much attention and wanted to format the external one to ntfs but must have clicked on the internal one.
That sucks d00d. If it was the external card - you could use a card reader and your PC to reformat.... Idk what to tell ya about the internal.... Maybe someone who's done this and fixed it could chip in with some info here? I did a quick search on it, and didnt turn up with anything... Sorry I can't help ya man.
Connect your phone to your PC, and format the card to fat32 the same way you did it to NTFS.

I tried to do that, but the problem is it wont mount. It says sd card damaged you may have to reformat it. But when I click that it says "sd card has been removed"
Try using CWM recovery to format the internal sd card.

Try formatting sd-ext or internal storage rather than /sdcard. Don't format anything like /osh, /data, /system, /cache etc.

Go to your device forum. People there are more likely to know and help you on how to solve your problem. The solution I will give is a Atrix only solution. I believe samsung has a software of the name "odin" but you have to check with the people in your phone forum.

Maybe you can try flashing a SBF. Make sure you know what you are doing, and flash the full one, some SBF leaves your internal SD untouched.

Internal SDCard Trouble . Help please!!!

well Hello to all
the thing is my Galaxy S2 does not detect the internal mass memory (16gb), I cant get acces with the phone or PC
its boot ok, I can make calls, texts etc... but, for example if I try to take a picture with the camera it says "insert an SD Card before using the camera"..
Download mode & recovery are ok.
I allready format everything I could :S
Odin does not recognize the phone :S
any Help??
excuse my English :silly:
Thanx!!
What FW are you running?
i don't think this is an internal memory problem.. under the camera's settings, did you set the storage to memory card? maybe you accidentally set it to memory card
Having a similar problem, but after rooting my internal storage seems to have disappeared?? any ideas/help greatly appreciated!

Maybe you need to mount in CWM under mounts and storage. Sorry if I'm mistaken!

Surely it's under "emmc" in the root folder. Get solid explorer and you'll see....

Have tried that too, pretty much tried everything. Having one last shot with a different idea this evening, but if that doesn't work am out of ideas.
Thanx to all for the help! I have made some progress... now when I conects the phone to the pc recognizes it as a disk storage, can not be formatted...
I have X-Treme CM10 1.0 it is bassed in CyanogenMod 10 . Android 4.1.1
I think I have to Mount the USB Storage.... but dont know how. ( I believe thats where the problem is)
In Recovery mode > mount USB Storage it says "E. unable to write to ums lunfile (no such file or directory)"
I´ve tried too Recovery mode > mount SDCard = "Error mounting /SDCard"
Odin stills not recognize the divice! so I cant change the rom or something.
What if if try to use Odin with RE PARTITION chek "ON"?? , I know is risky..
thanks for the help, and again, excuse my english!

I'm facing the same issue. Apparently, its not the issue with ROM or rooting. I'll try to flash new kernel through CWM(as i can't connect via ODIN ). Will update here if find any solution
Why don't you download some good ROM via phone's browser and then install it via recovery? You should try. Second method is that you insert Micro sd with some ROM (try one of the Samsung 4.0.3 based ROMs) and Siyah kernel on it and then flash it.
flash stock with pit
same problem with cm 10.1
Go into recovery and format emmc (internal storage).

Sandisk Ultra 64gb sdxc Failed or has my phone Failed

Hi. This is my first post and i am hoping someone can advise me with their expertise.
I got a sg3 about 2 months ago now, love the phone i am currently running it on stock (non root) tmobile uk, its been working flawlessly, but my mates that are on the network 3 get updates through the air but not me.
So i downloaded samsung kies to update and that went fine until i realized that my 64gb sd card no longer works.
The sd card is recognized by my PC (Windows 7) in a card reader so the card should be ok. On my PC, I've tried reformatting the card to both NTFS and exFAT but the phone didn't like either one. With NTFS, the phone says that there is a blank sd card and doesn't give me the option to format it. With exFAT, I get the same message I got initially, where it first says "Preparing SD card" and then "Safe to Remove Card" and the only option available in the Storage settings is "Mount SD Card" and selecting this causes the same messages to be presented again.
Sorry for the essay i am really confused and frustrated any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
I'am nowhere an expert but you might try a wipe cache followed by a factory reset (no need to reset if it starts working after a reset naturally.

How do i do that on a windows 7 PC. thanks for the advise
Code:
Format /FS:FAT32 /QUICK X:
Or download one of those formatting tools that litter the interwebs like a plaugue.
You could also search for FAT32 here on the forum. You'll have hundreds of answers in about 2 seconds.

Reformatted internal storage, now sdcard not detected

Hey guys, so my galaxy s2 has been running on RR 3.0.5 with the latest siyah kernel. A problem I've been having is frequent media corruptions, and to solve that, I thought reformatting the internal storage would help. After doing so with cwm touch 6, it doesn't recognize my sdcard when i use my phone. What can I do to fix this?

do factory reset with internal SD wipe in the phone and not in CWM, and you should be fine.

So I tried swapping my SD card for another 32 gb one. However, it isn't the SD card's problem. It's that my phone simply doesn't detect that there IS a SD card mounted in it.

I remember there was this setting to mount the external SD card from settings > storage, but don't remember which ROM had that.
If that doesnt work/if that option isnt there, your last option is to check with stock ROM as suggested earlier. Maybe it is a hardware fault.

In RR there's no option for mounting external SD, only "unmount shared storage". Will try going back to stock 4.0.3 as my last option.
EDIT: Went back to stock 4.0.3, reformatted usb storage and sd card and flashed back RR 3.0.5. So far so good, no problems
