XDA route to firmware updates is better than your Samsung method .
Download firmware via CHECKFUS and flash via ODIN .

Is the same like updating with kies i still have warranty? and my phone will have normal status or modified status?

[Q] I have some unknown apps installed after I unroot my device & flash back my ROM
Hello everybody~
I have some unknown apps installed after I unroot my device & flash back my ROM~
The screenshots are in attachments~
I don't know why it was installed, and it can't be deleted even when I did Factory Reset~
Did I flash back the incorrect ROM or what??
My ROM was I9300XXBLH1 STH(Singapore Starhub)
Can anybody help me with it?
Where are the screenshots?

It's in ATTACHED THUMBNAILS~
Because I'm from Singapore, I thought I've found the correct firmware, but my firmware should be PDA-LH1/PHONE:LH1/CSC:LH1(STH) that shown on my Kies last time before I root, but now it is not~
Now I'm very scared that my phone will have something bad happen~ >_<

I tried to download, but I couldn't download~
I don't know why, when the down load goes to 10+% or 100+MB, it stopped there and hanged~

Oh yes it does just tested .

He guys
After reading a lot I am still looking for an answer !
I'm running JB stock rom on my SGSIII (btu) , the official polish one , downloaded
from sammobile. I can still connect to KIES, but it tells me; your device doesn't support software upgrades via KIES.
What can I do to change this ????
Thanks for answers in advance !!!!

It's because it's from Sammobile, not from Kies. If you would have flashed it via Kies, it would still say your device supports (etc. ...)
I think ur phone is rooted n your device status is modified. Now you will Samsung has changed update checks. No modified devices will be able to get update.

That's just the thing. It WAS rooted and it doesn't say it's modified (anymore).

Cut and Paste Kies no update .
Rom is not for your phone .You now present Kies with wrong phone and firmware codes .
Wipe phone and reinstall your original saved firmware .Or download it from CHECKFUS .

thats because the firmware u have installed doesn't have the correct 'CSC Code (Consumer Specific Country Code) of ur region in it
do please find some third party app in store, that can change the CSC code for u, and then try with 'KIES' it will wrk
PS- changing CSC will wipe all ur data, hence do make a BKP before proceeding

IMO updating via kies was more complicated, taking much time & pc resources than Odin3 1.85 as latest stocks ROM should be downloadable at sammobile or samsung-updates.com

Greetings from Panamá!
First time posting here
Today I (finally) got the message to update my S3 to Jelly Bean, I was really excited about it. I downloaded the whole thing and it said about an error and lead me to try it with Kies, downloaded Kies and an error showed up again.
I guess this is because my phone is rooted so, what do I have to do to make the Jelly Bean update happen?
I've been researching a lot and couldn't find an answer. I'm much of a noob so I would really like some help!
Thank you very, very much!
