Well i have been looking every where and not such luck.... can some one please help me. i have a pre-rooted Sony S 4.0.3 and i want to update to a newer version of firmware. i have AIO 4.0 and added the _offupdates i have installed ADB "Google, inc (WinUSB) Android Usb DeviceClass" i also have SDK installed but i really don't know what to do with that. now one of the main issues is that when i open AIO it starts fine. i push 1 for root and then it just hangs. also i checked my device property on my pc and under the sony tablet driver i have a yellow /!\
[*] waiting for device...
* daemon not running . starting it now on poort 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
when i select 7 it shows
error : device not found
done.
i don't know what to do know I'm stuck and i could use some one's help.
Thanks

If your tablet is already rooted, do not select 1 Root device; instead, select 3 * Custom ROM and Flashing [SUBMENU] from the AiO tool's main menu and then follow the instructions provided in several posts in this forum.
To fix the Sony Tablet S device problem: in your computer's Device Manager, right-click on the Sony Tablet S device and select Update Driver Software.
hi there,my tablet is chinese and i want to change the region to US so that i can receive update.when i choose "change region "selection , it stuck with endless waitting by monitoring message below:

*
5 - after installing perl run the file copied in step 3 - Huawei_MP10FHD_Split, this script will extract some files needed to root and put them in a folder called output.

I think that the best and safest place to start will be the HUAWEI MediaPad 10 FHD User Manual, that way you'll ensure that nothing bad happens to your pad. I'm as you in the same boat, I want to modify but currently just studying the User Manual.

I'm lost...
I just followed your directions step by step, and I'm not getting anything. When I tried to open the .pl file there was nothing there to put into the output folder. Then when I rebooted my pad all it said when I ran the root.bat file was waiting on device. I've been trying to root this pad since I got it. This was the closest I've come and it didn't work. What am i doing wrong. Thank you....

Just run the root.bat when you are in FASTBOOTMODE - (Power + volume up).
unzip DLOAD with 7zip, then put the .pl inside da extracted DLOAD then run .pl in the end you will have a folder called output whith some files copy boot, img to the unziped C001B011SP15_Wifi_GE_Root_Repair_Downgrade.zip and will replace an existing file, then just run the root.bat when you are in FASTBOOTMODE - (Power + volume up).
Got it...
I finally got it to root, thank you very much for the tutorial...
The posted Method + Files didn't work for me. But this one did work:

Oh please come on.... You want to root a Mediapad 10 LINK (s10-201whatever)? Then don't use a root method for the Mediapad 10 FHD (s10-101whatever).
Turn your pad around and have a look at the model number. If it's s10-201 something this should work (no garantee, i don't own a 10 Link):
goo.gl/Iam10g (I'm not allowed to post links yet. Thread is russian, this is a link to google translate)
good luck and have fun with your rooted tablet!

Thanks FOR NOTHING !!!
It seems huawei doesn't have any decision to release a new update for this tablet.
I have contacted them several times but there is no answer.
Their support is very poor.

Why would you say this? My tablet was also stuck on rebooting once, because I used the wrong toolkit.
But with help of the correct one I got it working in like 5 min.
Cheers and a happy new year!

Hey XDA'rs,
Ive been messing around with building roms and I finally got one to finish(Kindle Fire V1 btw). So I flashed it to the device and tried to boot.
What I get is the backlight to come on and never see the bootlogo. So its hanging. (Not why Im posting)
My question lies in ADB. I want to get a logcat of the device as it boots to see what the problem is.
The rom is 4.2.2 so I know theres the new security prompt to enable access for adb on the device, but does this prevent me from using adb until the device will complete its boot or is there a way to make it work?
All I can get now is for it to show "0123456789ABCDEF offline".
Ill appreciate any help!

just went through this this morning too.
short version... make sure you have the newer version of adb installed and running from that directory... replace you older versions.
4.2.2 needs adb.exe 1.0.31 and can be downloaded here for windows pc.
if you have/need Linux or mac versions they are in the index of the folder too here

Hello,
I'm new here and I would like to know if someone can help me with adb.
I want to use it to get a logcat and also a usage statistics.
So the problem is, I've setup adb and I've installed my phone's driver (Samsung) but when I try to list my device using "adb devices" I get this:
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
and then it doesn't show me my device. So can I please get a solution for that?
Thank you so much!
It's seems like the forum is empty? I've wrote three posts so far and I don't get any comments. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong

try to reinstall the drivers, might you installed wrong drivers . also i think you should post this on your device's forum.
What is your device tho ?
I'll try to reinstall the driver. But I do know it's the right one, I've also tried to restart my computer. I have an old Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus. So I think it's forum won't be as active as this one. And the problem can relate to any Android phone, it has more to do with adb and the driver maybe.
Thank you for your comment!
