If can, try a different batter / charger to see if this happens again.
If you don't have any of the above additional devices, then try leaving the battery our for at least 5 -10 min and reconnect it and plug in the charger and see what happens.
Meanwhile unlocked, and rooted phone. Flashed custom recowery cent 4.0.1.4.
No problem loading battery when totally off.

It's your custom recovery thats causing the issue I had the same problem so I flashed revolutionary's version of cwm and that fixed the problem

His phone is completely stock. Relocked with stock hboot. Gotta have a stock recovery, no. People correct me if I am wrong but I don't think I am. People should read the entire OP before making suggestions.

Relocked doesn't mean he doesn't have a custom recovery, it just means further changes to certain partitions cannot be made via fastboot until unlocked again.

My thoughts, and I might be wrong, I don't think you can flash a custom recovery with a locked bootloader. You can't use an app to flash a custom recovery because they require root, he's not rooted. If you have a custom recovery and then relock, you get a security warning, and from my experience, it won't boot. So I'm thinking he has stock recovery.

You are correct and no you can't install a custom recovery on any device that doesn't have a unlocked bootloader step one unlock the bootloader via hct dev and then install custom recovery step two install the Su files this is how its done

Are you using a stock battery or aftermarket? I seem to notice my phone will always stay red while off when charging for 2 hours... I have used CWM 4.0 in the past and the latest TWRP.. Wonder if it is due to the Seidio 1900 I am using.
In the past on the stock battery everything seemed to work fine.. I only flashed a recovery when I rooted didn't flash superusers since I already had that cooked into my rom and alot of roms have it already in it...
Im using stock batery. But as I stated in my second post I have unlocked my phone and instaled custom recovery. The problem seems to be solved.
Probably shoud investigated it more before i changed recovery. To get to the bottom of it.

I just got a used, white HTC EVO 3D off of eBay, and it already been rooted and flashed with a custom ROM (no s-off though, as its hboot 1.5).
I flashed clockworkmod using the fastboot method, but it never goes into recovery. The Rom boots fine, its just when it goes into recovery, I get the white HTC screen, and then it reboots and goes into android. I've turned off fast boot in the settings, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

If you pull the battery and put it back, then go to hboot and select recovery and it doesn't go to recovery, then your recovery is corrupt or something, no biggie. Get flash image GUI and flash a recovery with it, or flash cwm with rom manager.
I used to have issues with certain recoveries when I had s-on, I think cwm version 4.0.1.4 was the one that worked for me.
Have you tried 4ext recovery? Link is in my Sig.
Well I have ROM manager and tried cwm 4.1.0.15 and got the same results.
Would 4ext work with any of the ics roms for the HTC EVO 3d?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
Yes it will. I use 4ext and am running ZREDX ICS.
Alright, that worked. Thanks for the help!

I recently flashed speedrom 7.5 on my amaze 4g.. it seems to load right for about a minute, then I get "unfortunately the .com phone process has failed to load" or something like that... Then it reboots on its own. Anyone have any idea what that means? Is it because I still have s-on?

Make sure you're using 4ext recovery with smart flash on, do a full wipe and reflash, also check the md5 to make sure you don't have a bad download.

Use hasoon's tool to flash 4EXT, do a full data/cache/dalvik via the wipe all except sd option on 4EXT then reinstall the rom zip.

it's been a while since ive installed mean rom, but are you s on or s off
usually you want to wipe system data and dalvik cache before you flash
also make sure you're on a supported firmware. flashing is easier on sense roms
Its s on n the vid didnt say to wipe anything before I flashed it n my hboot is 1.58 im trying to unroot it now but its taking forever to download the factory restore which I locked it back now just to restore to the factory settings I also ics on it to before I flashed it I wonder if thats a problem as well

Did you flash the boot.img in fastboot? You need to do that with s-on.
use 4EXT recovery as it has the smartflash option. saves you the trouble of flashing boot.img.
what i would really recommend is getting s-off. Check out this great guide by ramjet73

You need to get back into recovery so you can restore a backup or a rom, If you are S-ON like me you will have problems with CWM, you need to use 4EXT recovery, the "smart flash" options works very well on S-ON devices

I don't have gsm.
Maybe you need hboot 1.5* that was on your other phone.
Smartflash is for s on
I would recommend using 4ext though
I would suggest changing your hboot
Reboot to recovery
Wipe all partitions except sd
Reboot recovery
Wipe all partitions again
Flash Rom
Reboot
If it still boot loops,
Then fastboot flash boot boot.IMG
Good luck

I managed to make my phone ok again, using a ruu. I think this is the best chance, relock if you are s-on unlocked, flash the ruu via fastboot, and the just use the htc unlock method to gain unlock bootloader and root... It was a log operation...it takes a lot of time ..but well, it worth it. My phone is now ok. You could give this a try. Search the forum on how to revert back to stock rom using a ruu.

There is no need to relock, and get s on.
You can run ruu through bootloader as a pg86img.zip, and retain s off.
That will give you all stock, but s off
However you need to get the Rom.zip from ruu and rename it first

Have you tried other roms?
Or restoring a backup?
Maybe you should go ahead and run the ruu.
I do not have gsm, but I'm sure its the same process of flashing.

if you can't fix your problem, the RUU will, and allow you to start fresh. S-off is the best way to go.
