I flashed miui and at first the WiFi didn't work but 3G did. Now its the opposite and its not just with this rom its every rom I install. I tried to return it to stock with the ruu but it gives me an error every time. Whats wrong with it and what do I need to do?

Are you cdma or gsm? Also what radios are you on? What kind of error are you getting when you attempt to flash an ruu?
Cdma I don't know what the radio is and I am at school right now so I can tell you that in a few hours. If this helps anything I have a screen shot of the about phone screen.

Ok you have the latest firmware. 1.09.000.0706 is the latest. Also if you downloaded the jb muiu the dev states that wifi and camera are borked, then he released another update today with all that fixed. So when you get a chance download it and see if it works for you.

That happens to she sometimes ....slide down your status bar and select Toggles and disable data for a few seconds and then turn it on again and see if your data comes back..if it doesn't work try to do a Prl update I don't know if miui allows OTA update ,if not you will need to go back to a stock ROM or use QPST to update it .I am flashed to cricket so I'm used to days drops lol

Just flash the buttered toast v6 kernel and it fixes those problems
I have the ics one and the problem isn't the WiFi its the 3G now. The first time I flashed it the WiFi didn't work. But now its like that on every Rom I flash

I have the same problem, cannot use 3G or 3G+ internet from my sim, only setting it on GSM Only gives me the opportunity to use internet from my sim card... I played with different roms lately so see which one I prefer most, and at some point, unfortunately cannot remember which one I was installing, I encountered this problem, and it has remained even though I have tried other roms... Anyone have any suggestions, please?
Fixed it. I forgot to relock bootloader before I applied the ruu. After I got stock I had to update my profile to get 3g working again.

ok so I was running viper 4g 1.0.0.0 and everything was working fine. I then decided to flash cm10, the 8.20.2012 build, and I ran that for a few hours, everything worked great and I loved how fast the Rom was. Long story short I was browsing the web this morning and suddenly my radio shuts off, I wait a moment and then it turns back on, then shuts off and turns on intermittently. I get annoyed after 20-30mins of this so I restore my backed up viper Rom. Well now the radio on this isn't working either....someone help me please!! Can someone please help me? I've searched posts here and EVERYWHERE online to no avail and still no fix. My WiFi stopped working, won't turn on and just reads "error" My Bluetooth is the same but don't really worry about that. I have HTC Evo 4g lte S-on baseband 1.12.11.809 rooted running Viper 4g 3.0.1 ROM. Logcat states Driver failed to load etc... Nice. So download ruu then install.. Fix problem.. Hopefully... Then reinstall custom ROM? Or will the ruu make me have to root it again?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Reverting to stock ROM + stock kernel should fix the problem (I'm not familiar with HTC, so suppose that RUU=stock ROM full flash).
This will also tell you if the HW is OK.
Then you can try to flash the custom ROM again.
Good luck.
You will have to root again after reverting to stock ruu. I didn't get a chance to go and try due to having my kiddos (single father) I'm going to try this sometime this week. I will however keep in touch and let you know bud.

Looks like a new update will be pushing out soon. Just a maintenance update with some fixes.
Info here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-605-2-710rd-bringing-a-slew-of-improvements/
Anyone know what this means for us on custom roms?? Are we going to have to RUU back and take the update then go back to the Rom. I hope not. Hopefully most roms can just add the fixes. New radio though. Not sure about that.
I really like some of those improvements.
I think roms will be able to implement them though. You won't have to ruu or anything crazy like that.

Maybe this will fix the dreadful "No SIM card" error... it doesn't look like it, though, unless it's hidden under "connectivity improvements."

If we're on a custom kernel and/or rom will we get the update? I remember on Moto phones you have to be on the stock firmware with all its bloatware intact to get an update, though being rooted didn't matter.

I think it will be the same. No update unless you are on stock. I'm pretty sure all Rom devs turn off the auto-update ability. It would not install anyway.
Might just be careful though ..I know when I was on the Maxx and took the update we lost root and it was a while before new root was found .. just something to keep in the back of your mind..
It would of been nice to see a battery improvement on that list

you can, but for me (and lots of others i have seen posting here) if you select one single band wifi operation is sporadic..
like for me I select 2.4ghz only wifi will cycle off and on repeatedly and never connect to my home network.. if i select auto band it connects just fine.

Will I be able to receive this new update via my WiFi network or does the update only come over the Verizon network?
Tks :cyclops:
Hopefully they screw up something so we can hack and get s-off ;D haha...is that possible? or s-off via software not going to be a thing on this device?
Either way, hope improvements are good for users who don't root.
Well I don't see the point of having both 2.4ghz and 5ghz WiFi radios running since I don't use 5ghz at all.
It might not make a difference just preference I guess..

I have been looking for a fix for international Roms So I can run them on my Note II from Verizon
Several Roms out there for the Note II but not a lot of them unless they are Verizon Versions on the Software Some of the VZW Apps Don't work properly This should Fix the GPS Issue you might ran into.
It does two things, moves the VZW lib files over for GPS and it also should fix the volume levels in some apps that are low...

Yes, I would say so I would flash Rom,Kernel, modem the boot up then go back in to recovery and flash rom worked for me.
If it Doesn't I Flash Beans then use root uninstaller to back up the maps apk and stick it on your EXTSDCARD and go to recovery and wipe everything flash International Rom and the go to ES File Explorer and hit the menu button and go to tools/root explorer/Mount R/W and mount all RW NOT RO then go into the ES Explorer and go to Local and EXTSDCARD Then restore the Gmaps and it will ask to overwrite and say yes to all. Then reboot the Phone. When the Note II reboots then go to the Google Store and pick up GPS test its free and you can reset the AGPS and Update the AGPS Signals GO out side and get your Signal. If this doesn't work Try to Flash the Scotts GPS test Patch and should help. FYI I have had issues with the Global Mode popping up a lot and I went into the settings/more settings/Mobile Networks/Network Mode and change to LTE/CDMA and then if you get Updating Sim Card info a lot at the bottom of the Screen Set it back to Global and should fix but you will still get the Switch to Global mode Message More I am still stuck how to fix that issue.
