Root for Alcatel OT T10
Root for Alcatel T10
Thanks to Bin4ry
I did it with the official PC's with Windows XP
Here's what I did:
1. I downloaded the latest version of the script from the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ...? T = 1886460
2. Unzip it to a folder on the desktop.
3. I connected the tablet via USB cable to the computer (of course before I checked if I check the settings / options programmer / debug through USB)
4. I waited for the computer to install the drivers, ADB ...
5. Run the script and follow the instructions. (4. Other - selected device and on tablet I chose recovery when asked)
6. During the operation, the tablet will reboot itself twice. (Do not be afraid of the dark screen during rooting).
7. The script will display when everything is ready.
For me it was over in about 5-10 minutes. And I have a tablet with root
I tested all sorts of programs everything is OK. No lags, no crashes.
Success!
Sorry for my bad english

are you experiencing problems with time? such as time not updating when the screen is off?

For me there was no problem with the clock.
If you use an application, such as HD widgets, there is a setting in the options to save the battery, then when the tablet sleep, time does not change. Check it.

:good: Thank you so much. Works!!

SW Update via internal Flash or SD card
Before your tablet SW updating, you need to download SW package by access below link:
For Italy with HDMI:
https://teleweb3.tcl-ta.com/TELEWEB/CPM/T10_403IT07_20120821_update_hdmi.rar
For EMEA Region without HDMI:
https://teleweb3.tcl-ta.com/TELEWEB/CPM/T10_V1.0.14_20120925_EMEA_CPT_update.rar
For LATAM Region without HDMI:
https://teleweb3.tcl-ta.com/TELEWEB/CPM/T10_V1.0.14_20120926_LATAM_CPT_update.rar
For Philippines without HDMI:
https://teleweb3.tcl-ta.com/TELEWEB/CPM/T10_V1.0.14_20120926_Philippines_CPT_update.rar
Then, you can take below steps to download SW of your tablet.
1. Copy SW with the name of “update.img” to the root directory of ISD card (on you PC with cardreader) and uncheck “Read-only” in the file’s property.
2. Insert SD in tablet... Reboot

Reboot with pin. (Before you rename the file, you unzip it (winrar)? in my case the tablet will automatically detect update.img and display a dialog box to update the OS.)

Try to redownload the firmware, corrupted file can be the cause of update failure. Also be sure to safely remove the device before starting the update.
You know how to get into recovery to update the firmware? Hold down the volume down button while starting your device. After a while a white screen should appear with your recovery menu. When that happens let go of the volume down button. Navigate with volume down-up and power to select.

Rooting the Softwiner EVB Android Tablet

Recently i've been seeing ALOT of queries about how to root the Softwiner EVB Android Tablet
I have one myself and found a way and have tried and successfully completed the process myself.
This is an easy 6 step process. Basically this is what you do.
1. Back your tablet up, probably to your PC, laptop or whatever.
2. Factory reset it so everything is wiped, it should restart
3. It should be rooted after its restart!
4. Restore everything so you can get your apps back
5. Download a root check app from Google Play (it should confirm your device's root) or use SuperOneClick as a fake attempt to re-root your tablet, when it is about to start rooting your tablet a message should pop up saying that your device is already rooted
6. That's it! Have fun and buy a root beer or something
If this helped please click the "Thanks" button, i'll do the same if you just ask me, it's only one click and would mean a lot to me
if you need me for more Softwiner EVB information or information about any android devices (and blackberry devices but i don't know what will bring you here but just in case): follow me on Twitter and DM me @LordwinOfficial

Problem Solve
My problem solved.
I found out that SRSRoot software really did root my tablet. the problem is the Superuser.
So when I update superuser (apk and binary) from 3.0.3.2 to 3.1.1 manually using adb push, the Superuser
thing works fine.
I'm a ahppy man now....
Good luck tou you all
Cheers
[ROOT][GUIDE] How to root non-prerooted SoftwinerEvb Tablet
This is a Root Tool for Android 4.0/4.1 devices.
How to use it:
1. Download and install ADB Driver.
2.Restart your computer once adb driver is successfully installed.
3.Have your device charged to at least 50% to ensure no power interruptions.
4.Backup your device to your computer or external sdcard (I like My Backup app from the Play Store).
5.Download and extract Bin4ary Root Tool to a new folder on your computer.
6.Power on your device and enable USB debugging (Settings>Developer Options>USB debugging>OK).
7.Connect your device to your computer via MicroUSB to USB cable in MTP mode (option will appear in notification bar when you plug your device into your computer).
9.Your computer should automatically install drivers using the previously downloaded and installed adb driver. It may popup a install wizard; follow the wizards prompts. Let Windows update search for it. The computer may say it can't install MTP device; that's ok, click finish or cancel. Then another wizard will popup to install ADB device and will sucessfully install.
10.Double-click "RunMe.bat" (it may just say "RunMe") in the downloaded Root Tool you extracted to a new folder and follow all instructions you see on the application (for SoftwinerEvb tablet choose option 1 by pressing 1 key and then enter/return key on your keyboard).
I've succesfully rooted my SoftwinerEvb (4.1.1 JB) Tablet with it. I haven't flashed any custom recovery, rom, or kernel yet.
HAVE FUN!!
I'll try and answer any questions if I can.

Is there a custom recovery for the softwinerevb yet? I have one that came with 4.1 this tablet needs a downgrade bad. Very slow. Not happy wit it at all so far. I have root using Bin4ry method. It worked very well. The bad thing is that the creator has posted the file on a site that never lets you download it. You can find it other places tho.

Bootloop: Acer Iconia A1-810 without stock recovery, adb neither fastboot

[HELP] Bootloop after flashing: recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-p4.zip -> NOOB!!!!
I`ve just tried everything related to this issue on this forum!!
Before the bootloop i had access to the adb and fastboot features by usb debbugging (sdk manager) and stock recovery, etc...
With the Bootloop, now i can´t access to the stock recovery with the 1001 combinations of the buttons, removing the battery, pressing the volume button and then connect to the pc via usb, adb reboot, and so on and so on.... nothing works!!
The pc only recognizes via usb the Tab (1 second) asking for MT65xxPreloader, like a bootlooping asking for this controller. I´ve installed this controller and the bootloop remains - 1 second each boot...
Anyone can help me to solve this dead brick? Is is not possible make a startup disk via sd card like exists for windows, for example??
Without PC connection i don't see the solution.....
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for your answer!
My device can´t still enable to enter in meta mode. I tried MT6573, MT6577, MT6589 VCom driver, the SP Flash tool doesn´t locate the DA path for the function download scatter loading file.....
I followed this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206421&nocache=1, for windows Vista. It seems the controller is installed, but the SP flash tool or MTK tool doesn´t recognize my iconia A1-810.... I loaded the *.txt file: MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt and marked all options ans appears a error: FLASHTOOL ERROR: S_FTHND_FILE-IS-NOT-LOADED-YET (5007)
I disconected the battery and when i connect usb to pc the driver apppear for 1 second with the Mediatek Preloader vcom controller and enter in loop again... appear and disappear on the PC Device Manager.....
I´m completely lost.. can you suggest something?
Thanks

I bought my Acer A1-810 it’s 2,5 months (from amazon). And few days ago I decided to root it. 1 hour later i realized that was not a really good idea, because i did not know much things about, and it was not as easy as I thought. and voila as a result : bootloop !
I tried different roms, different update.zips but got allways the same error : ” check.partition.size=[__PROP_UNDEFINED__] ”
I was desperate…I was at the point of resend it to Acer for repair. But last try was successful, I did it, I did !!! And there is how !
1. go to acer web page --->support--->drivers and manuels
2. choose your model acer a1-810
3. As my divece was bought in usa, my FW upgrade is AV052.RV26RC06.PA.CUS1 (in O.S ), download it !
4.when it’s done, you should unzip and should get update.zip separately.
5. Put update.zip on SD card
6.Put SD card in your device.
For next steps see the manuel of update

[Q] Google Calendar not syncing (VIBEUI 2)

Hi,
I installed Lenovo P780 VibeUI 2.0 version: VIBEUI_V2.0_1512_DEV_P780 and gapps-kk-20150404-minimal-edition-signed.zip.
Then I installed Google Calendar from Play Store. Unfortunately it doesn't sync. If I go to settings/accounts/google there is no "google calendar data" option to choose.

Unfortunately I used [GApps][4.4.2][AROMA]_Aroma_Installer_GApps-v1.5.2 and didn't wipe data before/after. After rebooting the phone got "Lenovo launcher stopped, must be closed". After swithching the phone off and on end up with an infinite bootloop.
I rebooted the phone into recovery mode and wiped data, cache and dalvik and tried to reinstall VIBEUI_V2.0_1512_DEV_P780. After the first launch there is only a chinese text (I guess it might be some error, after clicking the button the same error apears again and again).
I tried to flash a custom revovery (as I end up with a Lenovo-Recovery with nothing to do) with a Flash Tool V5.13.52.200 as described in other thread but after clicking "download" and connecting the phone nothing happens (phone shows red light and a battery charge screen). BUT - I do not see it in the Device Manager at all... Maybe I will try to do it on the other Windows computer?

Hi. You are lucky. Your phone is detected by your computer !
All you have to do is to flash a custom recovery TWRP CN Version.
After this you could download your firmware again and put it on sd card ! reboot to recovery wipe and reflash your firmware !
