Unfortunately that horrible red warning writing is still there as that is tied into the hboot and I personally have no experience with that and don't want to brick any of our precious devices lol. So I'll stick to what I know, but I will talk to the unlimited.io team to possibly get some help with the hboot.

Added to OP.

Might be a good idea to have the stock one in there for the "oh ****" scenario's.

usually if u need to get a stock splash screen its for a return, running an RUU would be needed anyway, which would restore back to stock, but ill add it to the OP anyway.

I like the first one htc logo on black background, less eyestrain compared to stock, how about some boot logos (the image before the animated splash), cause I'd also like to replace the eye melting htc boot logo on white with the htc boot logo on black background like what you could do with the Incredible 2.
Edit: being more specific, not the animated boot splash, the htc boot logo that comes before that.

going to give this thread a bum-pity bump since S-OFF is released into the wild.
Enjoy!

Nice.

So I changed the splash screen no problem, but I'm still getting the red HTC dev text. Is there any way to get rid of it?

Thanks Andy, you're too kind. And also correct. The plug in should be released in a week or so. When it is, you will be able to change the text in the magenta box, and you will be able to get rid of the red HTC Dev text.
You will also be able to customize that red text if you want

Straight from HTCDev.com , & NOTE : THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRENTY
You are about to start the process of unlocking your device. Unlocking your device allows you to install custom Operating Systems (“OS”) onto your device. Custom OS’s are not tested as thoroughly as your original OS, and unlocking your device may void all or parts of your warranty. HTC disclaims any and all liability for proper functioning of your device after the bootloader has been unlocked and for data lost in the unlocking process. To prevent unauthorized access to your data, unlocking the bootloader will delete all personal data from your device including applications, text messages and personalized settings.

Why would HTC patch this? Isn't it their process? They even have a warning saying you are voiding your warranty.
Don't let that stop you from Dev'ing here though... I plan on having this phone.
HTC released this method on HTCDev.com/BootLoader , they give all right's to unlock your bootloader . It won't get patched bro & once we get root yaya !

Unlocking the bootloader through HTC does not give you S=Off, I had the same issue when I unlocked my sensation using this method. You need S=Off to have write permissions to install a custom recovery image or ROM's.
Typical HTC BS, I far as I concerned, once you have acknowledged the warning about voiding warranty, you have accepted the risk and they phone should be fully unlocked and not the partial one they are giving you.
The whole HTC bootloader unlock method is NOT what you think it is and is very misleading as far as I am concerned.

{Utility}New HTC EVO rooting method now available: HTC Supertool

Thought I would post this here for those not knowing this in posted here at XDA
New HTC EVO rooting method now available: HTC Supertool
No matter which HTC EVO device you own, and no matter how many OTA updates you have taken, there is now officially nothing stopping you from rooting your phone. This is all thanks to HTC Supertool, a new method of rooting almost all HTC Android devices, and it's been confirmed to work on the HTC EVO 4G, the EVO 3D, the EVO Design 4G, the EVO View 4G, and even the red-headed stepchild better known as the EVO Shift 4G.
In addition to unlocking the bootloader and rooting your phone, this tool offers additional options to "De-Sense" your phone, re-enable Sense, unroot your phone, relock the bootloader, enable wireless tethering, and flash a new(er) version of the Android Market.
I can't personally test this on my EVO View tablet, as it's currently out for repairs. And my EVO 3D is already rooted and running Fresh 4.1.0 (a great ROM, by the way!). But if you have held off on rooting until an easier method were to come along, this might be just what you're looking for.
Download links and full instructions are at the link below. And if you end up giving this a shot, be sure to let us know how you like it!

Someone should report if S-OFF is obtained with this. Currently system file rooting is done easily through superuser. I am on hboot 1.5 and cannot flash custom kernels or splash screens so if this changes that I'll report back.
EDIT : I don't wanna risk a brick by tampering with pc commands geared toward forcing an unlock of the NAND but hopefully some devs can take a look at the bat and tinker with it.

This will not get you s-off for hboot1.5. I ran it it tries to cycle your emmc which does not work, then it spits you to the htc dev site to get the unlock token you put it in from fastboot usb it runs everything like you were going to unlock bootloader shows you are unlocked but no s-off so I would say that this is just an automatic script for what we allready have but nothing else. If anyone else tries and gets it working for hboot1.5 and gets s-off please report with steps.

you can flash kernels and splash screens on 1.5. I have done it a couple of times this week already. flashgui doesn't always work for me, the flashing method inside of the infected rom thread ALWAYS works.

All i have to do to flash kernels on hboot 1.5 is to boot recovery through command prompt on my computer(fastboot boot "recovery".img). I'm still using cwm 4.0.1.4. Its an extra step I guess but its REALLY easy and works every time.

Ok so I have 1.5 and love using gui. It works for me every time. I can flash kernels or if u flash a recovery with it, u can reboot into recovery without using the comp. I just haven't been able to flash a splash screen.
it works
this tool worked perfectly got bootloader unlocked and have root access under 10 minutes.
I have evo 3d w/ hboot 1.5
bootloader unlocked w/ personal htcdev key
meaning it still has S-ON
the only things on this tool that didn't work were the options 3,6,7, and 9.
3 - attempt to s-off doesn't work obviously
6 - to de-sense doesn't work
7 - and obviously if that doesn't work the re-sense doesn't work.
9 - update market gave me some sort of error (but i updated to 3.4.4 after finding a link to the apk on google)

It always worked fine for me........just take care of which kernel you are flashing.
DO NOT flash 2.3.3 kernels (like silverneedle 1.0) on 2.3.4 ROMS..

[MOD]Custom Splash Screens (Collection)

You can either follow the instructions posted below to flash one of the custom splash screens in this thread, or you can follow benjamminzIS' instructions here if you have your own 540x960 image to flash.
If you have a picture that you would like me turn into a splash img for you, just post it/link to it here. (Needs to be 540x960 or it may look distorted)
YOU MUST HAVE S-OFF AND A CUSTOM H-BOOT FOR THIS TO WORK. Follow These instructions to flash a custom HBoot. You will also need ADB and fastboot setup on your PC.
1. Open a command prompt and navigate to the folder where you have your custom.img file.
2. Connect phone to PC via USB. In cmd type "adb reboot-bootloader". This will reboot your phone into fastboot mode.
3. When in fastboot, type "fastboot flash splash1 custom.img". Fastboot should flash the image almost instantly.
4. Type "fastboot reboot" and watch your new splash screen!
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU MESSING UP YOUR PHONE. THIS CHANGE IS PERMANENT, AND YOU CANNOT REVERT TO THE OLD SPLASH SCREEN UNLESS YOU FLASH IT.

it just wouldnt work in using the cmd prompt. said it didnt recognize adb. i used super flasher and it worked fine
If it isn't working in ADB using the fastboot flash splash1 imagename.img command, it means your hboot doesn't support writing commands. After s-off, either flash juopunutbear's custom hboot, or flash the ENG HBOOT I have posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1018938&d=1335108356
(rename to ph85img.zip, place on your SD card, and reboot to bootloader)
After flashing the ENG hboot, you should be able to flash your splash manually or using the tool provided in this thread.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1018938&d=1335108356
(rename to ph85img.zip, place on your SD card, and reboot to bootloader)
After flashing the ENG hboot, you should be able to flash your splash manually or using the tool provided in this thread.

i just flashed your boot you posted and i am still s-off but it shows me as locked now instead of unlocked. does that matter?
Locked is fine.. that has nothing to do with the ability to flash anything. Once you are s-off you can flash anything you like, as long as you also have an ENG HBOOT. Go ahead and reattempt flashing your boot screen. It should work this time.

since i changed over to the eng hboot everytime i flash a splash screen its just a bunch of lines. how can i go back to the JuopunutBear hboot???
More than likely you are flashing an image that is not the correct size. It has to be 540x960. If the hboot allowed it to flash, then it is not the hboot that is the issue.

i am using the right size image. i tried one it didnt work and then i went back to the one i had before that worked and it was the same way, all lines. i am just going to restore back to right after i got s-off working and see if that takes care of the issue

Did you just try changing a regular image file over to a .img file and then flashing it? If you do that, then you will get a picture full of lines. You need a program that can convert an image to .img for you.
here use this... its a program that i recently modified to work for my previous phone
the program is self explanatory

EDIT: im gonna add a function to it soon that will flash it to the phone

[Q] Stuck in bootloader. Need Help

Update 2: My phone is now S-Off and running ICS. It's awesome! Thanks everybody.
Update 1: So I unlocked the bootloader using the all-in-one tool and suddenly the phone boots up fine.
My phone was S-On, bootloader unlocked and running Bulletproof 2.5 and 4EXT recovery.
I used the All-in-One tool to flash stock recovery and relocked the bootloader. Afterward my phone is stuck in the fastboot/hboot screen no matter what I try. I tried flashing the Wind Mobile RUU (GB) after renaming it to PH85IMG.zip yet that doesn't solve the problem. Any advice?
This is what appears in the screen:

Unplug your device from desktop and let the ph85img flash.
Make sure ".zip" is a file extension, and not in the actual name also

It is unplugged, and .zip is in the file extension.
I've uploaded several pictures.
Should I flash stock kernal with the all in one tool?
No. Kernel didoesn't have anything to do with this. Which ROM are you using?
Stuck in Bootloader = phone goes to bootlader automatically? Or what?

I was coming from Xborder's Bulletproof 2.5.0. The phone goes straight to Fastboot (picture 1). I wasn't flashing the ICS RUU, just the GB RUU.
I'm gonna go ahead and bet you have this on the INTERNAL sd card(/sdcard) not on the external sdcard(/sdcard/extsd)
It looks on the microsd card you have in the phone, not the built in storage.. move the file to extsd and boot into bootloader and it will work.

The file is on the external sd card. I dl the RUU to my desktop then transferred it to the external sd card with a card reader.

It is a zip file, open it with a program like 7zip and see what is inside of it, it should have files like radio.img, rcdata.img, boot_signed.img, system.img, etc.
If for some reason it doesn't upzip with an unzip program(i verified it works with 7zip), or those files aren't there, that may be your issue(redownload the file again, rename, move to extsd, try again).
Double check that the file is both named right (ph85img.zip I believe, and follow the instructions exactly, it IS case sensitive) and on the external card - it saying there is no image means either the file is named wrong, or in the wrong place, or the files it is looking for inside the zip aren't there.. either you got a bad download or just some step is a little off.
AND MAKE SURE U DOWNLOADED THE RUU FROM A CREDIBLE SOURCE.
I used Hasoon2000's mirror in football's newer release thread, because a dropbox mirror gave me a corrupt file that wouldn't flash right.
Redownload ruu and try again?

I'd thank you, but apparently I hit my limit.. this happens fairly often, files corrupt on upload or download.. I usually only download things with a md5 to check against, but many of these files we use here don't have one

This is getting frustrating. I downloaded the two different Wind RUUs from a) http://www.filefactory.com/f/40bba0821a54f264/ and b) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1617644, and my phone still can't get pass the fastboot/hboot screen.

Thanks for the info. I'm S-ON so I can't flash Hasoon's T Mobile ICS RUU. Both of his files http://d-h.st/users/hasoon2000 are T-Mo ICS RUU. I'm looking for Wind GB RUU.
Update:
So I unlocked the bootloader again and suddenly the phone boots up fine. I will try to get S-off so I wont have to relock the bootloader again.... Thanks everyone for your help.
I had the same issue too after I went back to stock recovery and relocked the bootloader. I tried to unlock the bootloader again to see if that woudl work but it ended up wiping my phone back to factory... there goes my root...

Whether or not I plug the USB and follow the HTC's Instruction, I can never get to unlock the bootloader and I so really need to root my phone
It's really simple if you follow HTCs instructions.
Make sure when u copy unlock token, you are copying only necessary characters.

Even If I follow that, when I reach the CMD prompt part, my it will show the " Waiting for device" dialog, and my phone's USB debugging is active and my phone is on, the hasoon2000's pattern of doing this always restart my phone and boot into the HBOOT section which is locked and I can never get to unlock it.

Issues:
#1 Every time I restart my phone, it goes to a session that was 2weeks ago. ie (text messages are erased and reset back to where it was two weeks ago, My pictures i've taken are gone and the ones from two weeks ago are only there.) Basically its like the phone doesn't remember anything after two weeks ago.
#3 Factory reset / Hard reset doesn't do anything. I get to the triangle with the exclamation point and push the up volume + power to get to another menu. I select wipe data/factory reset --- I get the following
#2 I can't for the life of me unlock the bootloader for HBOOT 1.93.0002 with Hasoon2000's tool
I would like to install Jelly bean on this phone.
I am BY FAR no expert, but it looks as though your bootloader is still locked. You need to submit your Token ID to HTC and they will send you a .bin file that you can use to unlock your phone's bootloader.
Again, perhaps I'm not understanding your issue correctly so I don't want to go into too much detail and steer you in the wrong direction. Hopefully one of the gurus can pop in and shed some more light on your problem.

Thanks for your input. I have my code and have tried to get this to work. It loads the unlock_bootloader.bin file but on the restart after selecting unlock it still reverts back to being in last weeks mode.

This is what i get when i select WIPE DATA/factory reset from recovery mode accessed through---> @ red triangle in recovery mode -----> pushing volume up + power button
When I reset my phone to factory within the phone options itself, the phone just restarts. It goes back to what i did on Aug 21st 2012. In fact every time i reset my phone it goes back to Aug 21st 2012 ----> erasing everything i've done for the day.

Heck maybe even start with gb ruu. See if you can work from there and we get that you can't unlock your bootloader bud. so try that ruu and I'd say otherwise call htc/cell provider company cause that's goofy stuff

Thanks for your help. I've called HTC they say they can't help me because they suspect my phone has been rooted. I've even reassured them my problems are not a results of rooting but when i recieved the ICS ota
Also don't you have to be s-off ans super-cid to downgrade?
Thanks again

Try flashing the ICS ruu (Make sure it's not an OTA!) through the computer. This can be done by getting the RUU for your carrier (make sure it's an ICS one), preferrably the 531.3 version or the R2 version if you're on T-Mobile (which you are from the pictures). After you have it, rename it to PH85IMG and then put it in an accessible location.
Assuming you have fastboot drivers set up, open command prompt and make sure your phone is fully charged and is in fastboot mode.
Then type in the following commands in RED:
fastboot erase cache
(If it doesn't allow you due to an error "Remote: Not allowed", it's not a big deal)
fastboot oem rebootRUU
(Please note that the case IS important here. rebootruu WILL NOT work. It has to be rebootRUU. It will load up a screen with HTC text in silver. This is normal)
fastboot flash zip PH85IMG.zip
(Now this WILL take some time, this is why a fully charged battery is important. Oh yeah, also do NOT listen to what the green bar on the phone says, it is usually wrong. You will know it's done when it says "OKAY" and nothing more happens after that (even after 5 minutes) OR when it brings up an error, usually stated in text such as "FAILED". Whatever happens, I would like you to copy and paste the entire output, starting from fastboot erase cache, down to the very end.)
Good luck!
