It's says Unknown Chip So I want to know if It's prone to the Brick bug.
Here are the Details of my Phone. Not Rooted, Just out of the Box.

Yes... All 4.0.4 stock kernels has brick bug....
So u need to take out the main culprit.... The kernel...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium

To root it without risking to brick the phone, use a prerooted kernel like Siyah, PhilZ-CWM6 etc.

I found another app that Checks for the eMMC bug. It says my Phone is OK. Any idea?

Dunno why it says unknown chip. If I'm not wrong, xxlq6 has the brickbug.
Easiest way to go about rooting your device IMO, would be to install a custom kernel like siyah via Odin. That'll give you root and you won be susceptible to the emmc bug.
Another option is to search the forum for rachmat3's mehod. Simple and safe and will give you temporary CWM recovery if you don't wanna use Odin.
Or you can use the method from this link.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28178105
Haven't used it myself so can't vouch for its simplicity. But if you want root without using a custom kernel, this is the way to go.

Thanks for the Tips guys. And I need to know 2 Things,
1. What is my Kernel code?
2. Can I use this Method to Safely root my Phone? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746794

The Link is Broken.

Yeah I just saw that and edited it. Turns out its the same link you mentioned. It works. What kernel code are you talking about? AFAIK, the only method that requires you to keep track of your kernel is using cf-unsecure kernel rioting method which you shouldn't be doing anyways.
Still, since you wanna know, if I'm not mistaken, the kernel code you're talking about is the build. LPH..if I'm not mistaken. I could very well be wrong though.

[Q] Do we have recovery?

guys i have this phone about a week.
And now i were send some stuff (music, photos) to my phone and i saw that i have folder named RECOVERY in External storage.
Does that mean that we already have some sort of recovery instaled on phone or it just a garbage?

all android phones have a recovery, that might be a folder used for the initial flashing of the firmware. what we're after is a custom recovery (like clockworkmod) so that we can install unsigned/custom packages/roms.

Correct.
At the moment devs are working on making it work - in fact we got so frustrated a few days ago we just went to sleep after a million tries
I was saying that we might already got some recovery but need to guess wich combination key to activate.
Is that possible?

That looks like a skew, size issue. Nice to see it still. When you have it working will it back up at least. Want to do some playing around but it's hastle re flashing just for buildprop or app issues. Thanks doom

Hopefully we will have recovery soon on sxs.

basic recovery works...
i am still working on a few things... let see with the booting issue fix we will see this soon
This is nice to see, cant wait to put my hands on recovery but i dont want to unlock BL in this time.
Doom do you have some info about new exploit and root with locked BL?
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
I think he already stated, that nothing really can be done regarding root/exploit until Sony fixes the bug.
Good to see recovery is almost up and running. I just think everything should be a little bigger. And, yeah, I know it's still a "beta"

Not sure how but FXP have worked out the bootloader bug thats why CM9 is coming out very soon. With a custom kernal we can have root built in to kernal. No need for system.img
few more things working...
my basic DooMRecovery sources are now merged!!
but i cant test functionality until i get it on a custom kernel... hopefully that will happen soon...
working on fixing touch-response now... full touch recovery NOW WORKS!!!

If you're still locked bootloaded, You can update your rooted x10 first to official 2.3.3GB via SEUS/Sony PC Companion to get latest 2.1.71baseband and semc kernel, most customs needs 2.1.71baseband requirement anyway. So save your work time little. And yes, you need to root again but for best use suitable flashtool for root 2.3.3 once updated. Then you will be able get xrecovery installed for your X10 after rooted and done installing it. My signature link got those tutorial pdf, necessary tool download links. Although older version, but safer Feel free visit them, and if they're helpful, please kindly hit thanks in thread, for keeping them alive for future newcomers Cheers and goodluck.
Sincerely,
Whitefang

You may like to use the below. Actually I prefer it.

Very simple way. Start updater... it will ask u to switch off your phone and connect by pressing back button... the rest it will do...

AFAIK, wifi, bluetooth and gsm transmitter are controlled by modem.
If you already tried changing kernel, and that did not help (For kernels I recommend siyah or dorimanx), you should try to install a new modem and RIL.
Check out this topic, it may shed some lilght on modems and ril.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1881304
If that does not help, try flashing another rom. Finnaly, if that does not work, I suggest you check it for hardware malfunctions at a proper Gsm service.
Hope I helped and good luck!!

[Q] From custom ROM to STOCK

Hello there!
Im new to this forum! Nice job with it!:fingers-crossed:
I have an SGS2 and yesterday i flashed it in Ressurection Remix v3.1.1, it has already Siyah Kernel!
My question is.... I need to get back in stock version... in ICS 4.0.4 as i get out of the box....

If noobs on xda have taught me one thing, its that smartphones just aren't for everyone.
I should download firmware (Greece (Cosmote) 2012 August 4.0.4 I9100BOLPM I9100COSLP9 Download)
and i ll go in download mode, connect it via odin and put into PDA box and start flash???? and thats all?? or i ll brick my phone?
Well if thats where you are from then yes that should be it.

No. It won't brick as long as you don't wipe data while on a firmware affected by the bug. Just try to avoid using stock 4.0.4 firmware to steer clear of the emmc brickbug. For more info on that look in the general section.

My steps to get it in stock place is to flash it only with stock rom????
Sorry about my bad english.... i may dont understand some things.... thanks for your patient...
Ok easy now. If you want to go back to stock firmware just use your current siyah kernel to wipe data and cache Aka factory reset. When you have done that just use odin to flash the firmware You should not brick your phone

No one replied because the answer was in there. It's compatible with international versions, including Korean version. (says to see fixes) I used this method myself but mine is AT&T. I have no experience with international devices and don't want to give you bad information, so:
1) read all the instructions
2) read all the instructions again
3) print or have these instructions handy when proceeding
4) good luck
Caution:
- Use pudding specified for GB version only since you're on GB.
- Do no flash OTA (over the air) updates once unlocked. After that, everything will be flashed in recovery.

I can't help. I have no idea about the differences between US and international version. I don't know what baseband you need or even if you need it. I've never flashed a baseband, so how can you expect me to tell you which one to use?
As far as pudding, it was a while back, but I think I downloaded a file and flashed it through ADB and then unlocked it using fastboot. You need to download drivers for the Atrix along with fastboot and the correct pudding file. I can't help you any further.
If you're lost and reading isn't helping, consider selling your device and getting something different, like Samsung. They're easier to work with and have better support.
