Four weeks, Four weeks after release five was released in America and Japan for the Sony Tablet S, there's still no sign of it in Europe. Pitiful. And release six is out. So if the US gets jellybean in December, I guess we European tab users will get ours in February.

Just tried Japan. Nothing there either. I think it was 6 weeks last time after original ICS before anywhere else received it. Do you have original tab s? You can change region.... As for Xperia S release 6 was out recently. See my Update Link in signature.

Pre-root is possible before R5 (i.e. to install R5) but not after R5 (i.e. future updates) the recovery menu is change and current pre-root method no longer works due to loss of adb shell in recovery.
There are some new features but tbh I would not have updated if I knew about the recovery change before hand.

So this guy i work with tells me he was talking to 2 guys who work down the street at CDW. Apparently they both had Notes. But, they somehow managed to be running Honeycomb on them. Possible? Now this guy I work with knows cell phones pretty good so I have no reason to doubt him but I figured I'd ask anyway.

are you cool with them.check the firmware and see if its really honeycomb or what version. or maybe there just using a ported rom or a honeycomb theme?.....I'm curious now..

On our international notes we can run ICS in tablet mode complete with the bottom task bar and soft buttons which is probably what you saw

No sir. Honeycomb only came in 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.1 and 3.2 I believe.
3.2.6 was released last month - for a Xoom connectivity issue.

It seems like the screen flicker issue is reduced. I've been playing with it for a few hours and the flicker is nowhere near as bad as it used to be. Will wait and see over the next few days though.
Unfortunately the update didn't hit me, yet. However, can you guys look if the wifi drops are sorted out? Maybe even, if write rights for the SD are finally available?
Looking forward to the update ^o^
BTW: where are you guys, receiving the update, from? Are you 3G or wifi only?

Waiting for my battery to charge in the UK.
Can anyone confirm what is new though, as the list of changes is nothing new?
Perhaps a Sony rep?
Malaysia, wifi only model.
1. I still dont have write rights, still cant delete my files in the sd card using third party apps.
2. as for wifi, mine is set to never switch off but it still does when in sleep mode. However, if im downloading something, the wifi will stay connected even if the device is sleeping. I think that is a development. Previously, my download will be cut off whnever the device sleeps.

Some users have got messages from motorola to participate in the testing of a software update for atrix 4g........but previously it was announced that atrix 4g won't be getting an update and the same applied to the photon 4g.......but now this message from motorola......

Is that a new start and has motorola thought something good for our dear phones
Sent from my Xperia Live with Walkman using Tapatalk 2
They did say they would continue to support with maintenance releases, it's highly unlikely this is anything but that, a minor fix for something. And nothing for the Photon 4G.
But if its just a minor update ......then why a soak test for it

Quick question:
What happens to those of us who have a SIM unlocked One with a custom ROM (CleanROM)? Will we still get the firmware update in some way, for example will be able to just flash it or something? The option in the settings menu "AT&T Software Update isn't there for me anymore.
