Seems like everyone waiting for knock code to be ported or become fully functional on the g pro 2 roms might be seeing it sooner than expected http://www.phonedog.com/2014/03/24/...devices-in-april-starting-with-g2-and-g-flex/

here's another link regarding KnockCode :good:

Saw this earlier. Hope it doesn't require too much work to just make it an add on. Supposedly it's coming as a firmware update. :screwy:

As I can see on the picture in the article the G2 has a "recent" button. I hope to see it with the Knock Code update.
Hopefully they fix the hissing on kk

we need him!!
This is common for him, he's one the best devs his roms are stable advanced and usually ahead of the times for like a month of other roms but every phone I have ever owned that he made a Rom for usual gets a few builds and when its 100% stable he's gone foreve.

He's like kaiser soce - poof, he's gone... I used the Ariel ROM on my SGS3 and it was the best of the (tons of) stock-based ROMs. He put it up and after a few tweaks, that was about it. As was said earlier, he didn't seem to care much about making an update just to add a minor feature. Once it was solid, he let it be.
I just picked up an LGOG last night and am definitely flashing this ROM.
As long as he comes back and makes a JB version of The Base (once we get JB), I'll be happy.
Staring down the isle of cubicles as I see a head rolling hmm lol

Got my One yesterday and I love the phone but it really needs some quick toggles. Does anyone know if htc plans on releasing an update to 4.2.2?

Highly likely. This link is more of a rumor sourced article. But I have seen sales pages that say "upgradable to 4.2.2".
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Andr...heading-for-the-HTC-One-X-this-Summer_id41376
I'm running the Renovate Rom from the International HTC One forums and it has the quick toggles, also has long press the back button for menu which gets rid of the black bar menu on bottom.
The rom and the kernel work fine on the AT&T version (LTE and All)
Antek quick settings in the play store
It's not as refined but it works

tbh i would much rather HTC keep it 4.1.2 and just wait for 5.0 and upgrade to that

Eh, I'm sure it will be released eventually. (Probably not too long from now) If you're rooted, most of the HTC "stock" ROMs already have this stuff baked in. If not, our time will come! :good:
I hope our update rolls out soon

Quick question:
What happens to those of us who have a SIM unlocked One with a custom ROM (CleanROM)? Will we still get the firmware update in some way, for example will be able to just flash it or something? The option in the settings menu "AT&T Software Update isn't there for me anymore.

As soon as an update hits someone will release a stock rooted version. No need to worry about ota releases ever again.

Google News had this in its technology section: www.techspot.com/news/53165-google-patches-master-key-android-flaw-ships-code-to-oems.html
I wonder if they will push 4.2.2 faster now that the flaw is out in the open.. Or maybe even 4.3 lol

This is an interesting thought. One can only hope. Does such code exist at the OS level where it would require an OTA to implement? If so that's going to be a nightmare for carriers, and a huge tarnish on Android's reputation as a whole - at least to those aware of the issue.

I doubt it tarnishes android as this was reported on 1 weeks ago. And it was about a security flaw when downloading 3rd party apk's not found in the market.
I also believe Google wanted this to happen because about a month ago they were saying how they would be outing software security issues to the public from other companies assuming it will force the other company to fix the security flaw sooner than later.... Given how fast they fixed this "huge" security hole in their own software so fast... They can now say see we fixed our issue this fast and it was "huge"... so can you ... Smart move if you ask me...

LG UK as posted a new video showing the comparisons in speed of Jellybean and Kit Kat. Basically just opening and using apps but worth a look. In the about section for the video it also states "The KitKat OS update will be rolling out in the UK from mid March."

You know what... I think that for the average end user, a couple of milliseconds aren't going to make that much of a difference or even be that noticable! All these people who think 4.4 will bring about radical changes in UI and features are in for a big disappointment!
I'm excited! LG updates seem to have a lot less issues than Samsung updates do. I just hope we get some of those new knock code features

But what I am excited about in this video is the transitions, witch seems to be a lot smoother than the current ones, they just feels choppy. And I do look a lot foreward to transparent bars in nova..so there is a lot to look foreward to for ME.
If the changes are so noticeable, why do they need a 240fps video to show it?
