[Q] [Karbonn A9] Device Restart issues - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't whats the exact cause for this issue. But When i use the stock ROM or LeanA9_v3 or Mystique ROM, i get a lot of device restarts but when i use another ROM based on MiUi i.e. Inverse ROM i dont get the restarts but some other issues.
Is there any way out by which i can choose the best out of all these ROM and modify it depending upon my wish and use it.

after updating my ray to ics 4.0.4 wifi and bluetooth not working. when trying to turn on it shows turning on for 10 seconds but it doesn't. please help
hello there
i will try and help you but i have to ask you something
1.which android 4.0.4 were you trying to flash the unofficial one or the official one
2.this is a development section not q and a
for me wifi and Bluetooth is working fine.i will need more detail in order to help you.
i installed ice cream sony ka19.1 after that blutooth and wifi not turning on .
Please, make sure you do full wipe before flashing...
and reflash you rom.
i didn't find any problem with KA rom
i wiped every thing and tried to install several roms. but same problem all the roms...
well try two things
1.try changing kernels could be kernel issue than the rom.
2.flash official android 4.0.4 then root it with cwm(by flashing kernel) then install the rom.
i tried several roms and kernels . but the bluetooth and wifi is not turning on . what should i do?
Then just flash the official kernel with offical 4.0.4 rom as normal
Please update...i have the same problem. With me the phon turns itself off once the screen is locked. (
yeah, me too, i have same problem
not only in 4.0.4, but also 4.0.3, i flash my ray to 4.0.4 and 4.0.3 and do a full wipe, but wifi and bluetooth still not working
i don't know what happened with my phone, but suddenly at morning, my phone was already like this, i'm not installing something at my phone
please, help me, someone
there is a Help thread in this section, so please post your queries there
now, there's something wrong with what you did (your process)...
I've been flashing roms for the past 3 months without any issues (aside from the bugs on the roms themselves)
better clean up your phone first before doing mods...
sometimes people do not read instructions and do their own research
i have the same problem too...
please help..!!!
please update soon...
I think all the most popular custom kernels have the necessary modules embedded – so it’s unlikely to be a software problem.
For some rom/kernel/mod combinations I find that wifi doesn’t work on the first boot – I just reboot and it works.
These issues aside the only problems I have with custom kernels/roms/mods will be because I have conducted a lazy install (i.e. I’ve not followed instructions to the letter, or I haven’t flashed the stock ftf first).
The best way to trouble shoot is to start again and just re-flash the stock ftf – if your phone is not working properly after this it is 99% likely that your issue is hardware related - this might your phone, but the faulty hardware might also be your USB cable or the USB port – so swap the port/cable or even use a different computer and test again. The last thing to remember is that your file might be bad – so if what I’ve said already fails download the files again and try once more.
Similarly, if you constantly flash custom roms, without reverting to stock before hand – it is my perception that eventually your device will start to misbehave. You can get away with flashing JJ’s Hybrid and then Ice Cream Pureness, but this may not be the case with all kernel/rom combinations.
The best way to achieve clean installs of customs roms is to do it over a clean install of the stock ftf – if you’ve backed up this is a minor inconvenience that only adds 5 minutes to the installation time. If you’re lazy you may have bootloops or soft bricks or an unstable system (lots of fc’s or things not working e.g. wifi) – these will inconvenience you much more.
Finally I’ve had some hairy moments where I thought I’d permanently damaged my phone – but what every noob must remember is that you can always just re-flash stock and start again.

Need help regarding custom ROM

Hello, I am using Lewa Rom v13.06.07 on my Jiayu G3 android phone and am very happy with it. The best thing I have seen. However, there is one thing that needs fixing. When I use Viber and exit from it by pressing home button everything still works but if I close it by "sliding" it as you normally close all non running apps it stops and you get no calls or notifications. This is also true for some other apps like HD Widgets (the clock stops updating) and so on.
I believe these issues are caused by built-in task killer which stops all "unnecessary" processes.
So, I wonder if there is some way to set the rules which process will still run in the background or solve this issue in some other way.
I know I'll get advice, use some other ROM, but this one is the one I like and would like to get a fix for it.
Thank you.
May be a bug in the $ROM$, or kernel, have you tried flashing a replacement kernel "for your specific device". Also , if you like it, and you want to keep it on the phone, try to revert to a nandroid, then reflash the $ROM$. Or search for an update to the $ROM$.

I really do like it. Don't know where to find and how to flash replacement kernel. I do hope that there will be un update soon. I would even write to "Leva team" about the problem if I knew whom to address. :crying:
Thank you.
Well what I would do is find out from the settings area on my phone the model, model number of my phone. then i would , go to "google" (my best friend). and I type something like. <device name><model #> custom kernel <name of rom>, then if that dont work, go with same search topic and use it at github. Everything you need is laying dormant on the internet.. If you really like the rom, check out a good kernel tutorial and build one ..

[HOW TO] Fixing the 'battery over-heating' sign on your phone.

Here’s the reason for anyone of you who is facing this over-heating problem with your P50* phone: your Kernel is NOT compatible with your ROM. Colors will likely be displayed properly, but the over-heating problem will be persistent, and will shut-down your phone as soon as it’s booted. Don't panic; there’s a very easy solution to this problem; however, it will involve installing another ROM which is compatible with that Kernel (or back to your original ROM). I’d suggest you do some research on the ROM you are using with that Kernel, and to get a compatible one flashed, or just to get the previous ROM installed on it again. Follow the following steps.
1. Plug-in your phone to its charger. The ‘over-heating’ sign will disappear.
2. Open your internet. If you had done a complete factory reset before installing the ROM, just connect to Wi-Fi.
3. Install your previous ROM back to get your phone back to normal and not get that ‘over-heating’ sign again. (Hopefully you know it! If not, PM and tell me.)
4. Now, if you want a different ROM installed, you’d be better off installing one that comes WITH a Kernel. Separate ROMs and Kernels are for experienced users; hence, sticking with those which come with both wouldn’t hurt until you are aware of what you’re doing and know how to handle any problems that may occur.
If you have any questions, please ask. I am extremely busy with exams, but still managed to get this post written.
Note: No CPU frequencies or anything else had caused the problem. It's not very easy to get a phone over-heated.
Good luck!

Turning on Wi-Fi loop

HI guys,
My tablet is giving me issues with my wifi all of the sudden.
It was working fine and now it just says Turning on Wi-Fi... this never stops.
I have a Huawei Mediaoad S7-301u
Any ideas how I can get my wifi back up and running?
A restart should do. If you don't have to do this too often. All custom roms for the Mediapad should exhibit this fom time to time, stock rom is too long gone to remember, but if you're still using it you found the answer for that.
Usually it should happen after wakeup from standby, and if it occurs several times a day, another rom may perform better, also increasing screen timeout should help.
If wifi is completely gone, restore a nandroid backup or recover the stock rom via dload method, if there's no custom recovery, which would prevent that. Custom rom and no backup means doing a clean flash.

I have done a few restarts and I have also reinstalled the same rom. I am starting to think it is the rom, it seemed buggy from the start.
Which rom would you suggest?
Stability-wise it's the older the better. Stock rom and After Silence's CM10(probably gone forever) . He developed the kernel Zyr3x was also using, whose roms got buggier and buggier. Zyr3xs AOKP, maybe, that was my first custom rom on the Mediapad, but I don't remember the bugs there were. Some, but not many.

Can I Change my Custom ROM to another?

Hi everyone. this is my very first post. I'm an Owner of a Redmi 6a (Cactus) Running Lineage OS 17.1 Unofficial (20200727) and I'm having some issues with the from so. first, I would like to know which Custom ROM Its better for this model now in 2022. more stable and updated. and also. if I can change the custom ROM to another without problems, just wiping some things ( I have TWRP and Bootloader unlocked already), or I have to get back to MIUI again.
I'm seeking something with the highest android version available for this model without problems like slow charging. camera stops or issues with daily usage, I would like to get my phone a little more powerful again.
Any suggestions, and comments, are well received by me.
Thanks to everybody
welcome to the dark side
so at the beginning i just tested some of the available costom roms, each for a few days (like go shopping) to get to know the functions and to see if they are stable (stable enough - because you can't find all bugs in short time). i am now using LineageOs but this is a personal preference. maybe i should go "shopping" again to see how the other costom roms have evolved over the past two years. as long as i did this testing i flashed all the roms "dirty", this means as you said, just wiping/formatting in twrp and flash new rom but as soon as i left testing and decided to use a rom for a longer period of time i did a "clean" flash. this means flash stock rom again (be careful to don't lock your bootloader again, its preselected in miflash unlock tool), then boot system, enable adb debugging, flash twrp, flash costom rom. i would say from experience that if you do a dirty or even clean flash, lets say you do it 10 times in a row, you will not always get the same result. maybe sometimes in LineageOs (at some devices) the radio is missing, sometimes it's not. sometimes you have a bug with a camera, sometimes you don't. flashing clean should reduce the error rate. this in the first place and the different region versions make it hard to help someone who has a device specific - rom specific - one in a hundred times bug - they need some help with.
