hey guys,
is it possible to use the Galaxy S II as a touchscreen for my windows machine?
Example: I have my one tft (24") and i want another screen (galaxy s II), where i can put for example Photoshop tools. So I can select the tools via pressing on the galaxy S II' screen.
Hope this isn't the wrong section.
If anyone knows another option, let me know!

Try idisplay.
Do say thanks if it helps
Adobe recently released an app for the iPad called Adobe Nav that does exactly that. Don't think there is an Android version yet and I also doubt they're going to release it for phones.
Okay, thanks dexteral, it worked, but this "wifi-only" sucks.
it'd be better if i could connect it via USB.
Just buy yourself a proper wacom tablet. You can obviously afford it. Since your using a graphics soloution that costs the earth.

Huh? Do you even know what a tablet is for? That's not what he needs....
As you all might know Windows Phone 8 will support dual-cores and micro-sd cards, so my question would be, if it could be ported to our device.
Keep in mind I'm not a developer
Do you want the long answer or the short answer?

Windows Phone 7 hasn't been ported to the SII for a reason, and the same applies to this.

I think that Windows Phone 7 can not be ported to this device because it does not have dual-core and micro-SD card support
Nobody is going to port either to the SGS2. Devs who are still developing for it have much better things to do with their (almost always) limited time.
I dont think you should expect a port unless Microsoft releases the source code, which it wont.

Hi all. I would like to know whether it is possible launch of multi-window from galaxy note 2 to our device?
Nothing is impossible, I'm not sure the code is in the leaked JB ROM but I'm betting that it's unlikely we will see this feature on the S2.
GTBH, I'm not that fussed as I don't think the screen is big enough.

you cannot have windows 7/8 on a smartphone, because PCs use a different architecture. Now, if you're talking about Windows Phone 7, that's a whole different OS. It's still impossible for the i9300, since the device sources needed for porting are closed. All the HTC HD2 sources are widely open so porting is so easy.

HD2 is a Windows device, originally it comes with windows mobile. It was a bigger deal to port Android than Windows Phone to it.
New Android Phones doesn't have windows drivers.
My question, why you want Windows Phone on your S3?
Btw WP7 can't handle Quad Core Speed

Hey guys.
Is there any development on tizen port for i9300?
I've read through the tizen thread and people there are saying we should ask on the device thread.
Could this be done? I sure as heck would like to try this as much as the Ubuntu port.

I've not seen anyone try to port it. Not sure why they would either? Its a basic operating system for budget phones. Cant see anyone wanting to massively limit their phone's capability - even out of curiosity

Nah tizen is actually looking to be quite robust. I wouldn't say it limits the phone's capability. Rather it opens doors for more features. It can already run Android apps man...
