There's a root toolbox on the market. I think there's an feature where you can limit how many apps to run.

No, widgets as well as apps who contain such can't be refreshed from SD, they have to remain on internal storage!

Now they are on the internal storage, and i've uninstalled app2sd, as well as the widgets but the problem remains, now even with the stock SE clock...

I am on stock 1.22 (rooted, s-off), and I am looking for a way to improve multitasking. I installed via the OTA, so I believe my room is Odexed.
I have used zepplin's v6 supercharger on my old phone, but does it work on an odexed ROM? Any other mods people recommend for improving multitasking on stock?
Bump?

Switching the physical look of the multi-tasking made Sense not as aggressive in killing apps? I'm not buying this. Please clarify what you mean by it "working perfectly".

Get the V6 supercharger mod. I'd link but am on the phone app. Search for it, you'll find it.

Go into your settings/apps. Select all. Then scroll down your app list until you find the task manger app. The select it, force stop, clear data, then select disable.

Disable is not an option for me, although I can stop and clear data. I suppose I can always use titanium to freeze/uninstall it. Will doing this alone help with multitasking?

I've been using the V6 supercharger for the last week or 2, but have only been able to get it 50% supercharged, and have not been impressed. I've been trying the post 2 for ICS to get it 100%, but been getting errors. Are you using it on stock? Did you get 100% supercharged?

You can disable the apk if your supercharged or not, as to how it will effect you if you are using that mod is what I don't know because I've never used the supercharged script. I've disabled the apk and it hasn't effected my setup at all.

That I don't know because every user setup is different. What you can do is just make a backup of the apk and as you posted use tb to freeze it or uninstall it and see how it effects your setup.

CacheMate may be what you're looking for. Task killers are not recommended, but if you insist, you could try Android Booster or any other one of your choice.

Xperia stock FW users can't disable auto-running apps coz apps like auto-starts doesn't show any receivers! So a lot of apps are uselessly running ; feeding on memory and battery, thus degrading performance and battery life!
Is there any working alternative to autostarts? If not, can anyone develop such app?
Thankyou!
