I have X10 mini...Recently i tried flashing nAa JB rom...kernel flashed well...But when i tried flashing ROM, it stuck at the middle for an hour. So, I shut down the device hardly by pressing back button and power and volume buttons!! Now a strange situation is being faced by the device. I flashed with the same kernel and other kernels too... irrespective of the kernel, Device shows boot looping of the kernel screen and LED sensors(red and orange both) again and again..But didnot go into the CWM...Please help..me!!!!!!! :crying:
Shall i leave it until battery drains fully and flash again? is there any possibility to get into CWM?

I've unlocked bootloader year back!! I've been through almost all the roms in my mini!!!
You did do the correct wipes when you flashed, right?
It could be your partitions messed up but I don't know except that wouldn't be good

Seus back to stock. Then flash the jb kernel via flashtool and format all mtd partitions. There is a reason you should format them. Dont ommit this step. Good luck.

i did unlock!!
Thanx nAa...But my thinking is that kernel performance is respective to phone memory and kernel is what takes us to CWM!! Isn't it? Is there any link between kernel and Custom data on SD card except flashing the ROM for a respective kernel?
As per your suggestion, SEUS says Your Phone do not have any software to be installed..even if i flash JB after flashing stock kernel, CWM doesnt appear..except the LOGO and white and orange sensors blinking and looping again and again...
Can anyone help what nAa mean to say about partitioning? I'm a noob in partitioning and dont know about mtd partitioning...!!!Any help would be really appreciated!!
Do Help guyz!!

it s write on naa kernel post :
This kernel introduces custom mtd partitioning with larger /system partition to hold the extra JB calories. If you are moving from another custom kernel to this one, you MUST first format /system /data and /cache via the embedded CWM recovery
So you need on first boot go to CWM and format /system /data and /cache

Look at the instructions in the kernel-thread, it's very straight-forward:
You flash the Kernel
You boot into CWM
You go into Mounts and Storage
Format /system
Format /data
Format /cache
And next time: READ!!!!!! Don't ask questions that are clearly answered already.

You asked how to format MTD partitions...
I'm telling you how...
All nAa told you was to go back to stock, because that will restore the partitions to normal, and then flash the JB kernel again and format the mtd-partitions.
It's nothing to do with your sd-card
IF SEUS or PC Companion can't repair your phone, i guess you're buggered royally.

Will flashtool let you root it and install xrec?
Maybe that way you could get it to work still
I've got a complete stock firmware for flashtool for the x10mini, i'm not sure if the partitions get resized when you flash it using flashtool, but i guess it could be worth a try.
PM me for the link if you're interested.

so this morning i tried to root my xperia minipro.
i had the ics, so i flash the kernel to Neo MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_Kernel .
after i follow the flashing instruction.
i start to root my device with this tutorial > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038
then i flash the kernel back to SK17_4.1.B.0.587_Kernel .
the first attempt. after i follow all the instruction, nothing happen. my device still not rooted.
and i try to flash the kernel again, but then my phone screen goes black.
at first i thought it's just rebooting, but after i wait nothing happen.
i've tried to press the power button, and still nothing happen.
only the led on the back button turned on, and then goes off again and on again, and then off again.
i tried to flash the kernel again. but i can't even get to the flash mode.

No for kernel.sin of the stock firmware you go in flashmode and exclude all except from kernel...
Try it again, install the drivers again, press volume down while connecting, it must work. Take off battery before you try and reinsert. The phone must be turned off!

hey guys i need help. i bricked my phone while re-locking boot loader. what i did is i restored the boot loader while having custom kernel. i later realized that it should be done while having stock kernel.
now my mini is bricked and i cant flash stock kernel and even cant repair using pc companion or seus. its not even starting now , just initial vibration and green led blink at the time i try to power it on ,then it switches off .
is there any way to make the phone work..

Hi guys,
I'm using Xperia sola rooted phone with 4.0 and I was installing metamorph - lock theme and the phone restarted and it is going in an endless loop of resarts.
It's possible to put the phone completely off by using power & volume key combo, also i can put the device under flashboot and fastboot mode.
Kindly tell me a way outta this !!
I won't be getting a cell phone for another year I guess

Do you have CWM and if you do does it have adb?

CWM isnt installed on my xperia sola sadly
This is the theme file : "droidpirate.com/2011/09/14/metamorph-droid-bionic-lock-slider-bionic/"
prior to this, an app named metamorph was installed.
I can put the device in flashboot/fastboot though!
Any chances that I can recover the phone?

If you bootloader is unlocked you can try flash a kernel with CWM that support adb.
If not, do you have the FTF file for the firmware that is currently installed?
I would try at first flashing system.sin only from the firmware FTF, no wipes everything else expluded.
You will lose root and other modes copied directly to /system but you should have data intact.

Well no CWM installed & I haven't done the unlocking of bootloader yet.
Yeah I do have these two files in my flashtool firmware folder which I used :

MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf
Which one are you referring to, since I had to use .10 first followed by .54 to get the root done !
Can you please point to a tutorial where I can follow the steps which you are referring to? That will be helpful

For root didn't you just had to install kernel .10 over .54 firmware no?
Anyway the system from the one that is flashed now you the only one that knows which, I am guessing .54

How are you trying to get into recovery?
What does the LED do while you boot the ZU?
I would just flash jackie099's kernel and restore the backup from there - I cant see how flashtool would be failing except for a problem on the PC

If its so hard for you, i suggest to flash 757 ftf and begin from scratch...its not so hard to do it all over again...after you get recovery, just restore your backup...[/QUOTE]
yes master...
i cant get into recovery, i used to get no problem at all flashing kernels or down/upgrading ftf to it...
but right now i'm stuck with this kernel wich theres no recovery at all, no light no recovery...:crying:
i've tried to reflash kernels many times but failed...
the worse part that i got is that it has no signal at all...:crying:
if i flash it with any new ftf (down/upgrade), the kernel should be replace by the list on ftf package right...
but not mine...
Stucks... (3.4 bla bla)
how could i recover my ZU if i cant flash the kernel...:crying:
thanks for your responds...

Download this: https://mega.co.nz/#!Vh8xEZYR!HwGosI...VlhUObM0NdNrPg
Make sure your phone is turned off.
Start Flashtool and click the lightening bolt at the top left and select 'FASTBOOT MODE'.
You should now see a new window of flashtool titled FASTBOOT TOOLBOX.
Plug in your phone while holding the Volume Up button
Back on flashtool: To the far right where it says 'By DOOMLORD', just below that the second option is 'Select Kernel to Flash', click it.
Browse for the .IMG file that you downloaded from the top of this post(which is the boot file for your phone to boot and let you into recovery).
Change the file type that's listed next to File Name at the bottom of the browse window, to .IMG
Select the .img file and it should flash automatically and tell you to check the log list shown right in flashtool before rebooting. If you don't see any errors then go ahead and unplug your device and boot it and try going into recovery.
You should be good to go now.

I think we need to see a log or screen grab of the output of flashtool when you try and flash a kernel and a FTF
I think "invalid argument" normally happens on a locked bootloader???
