what you want in xperia mini 2??

I want 3.2 hd disply,1.2 dual core snapdragon processor,8MP autofocus canera with xmor R sensor,front facing 1.3MP camera,LED near front facing camera(not on top),ICS with 4 corners,not more than 9mm thickness,white magic tech,divx support and ....
HD on 3.2 inch display is close to impossible, because DPI would be really big and then building it would be quite hard. Yet, it can change in the future.
LED on front camera....is it actually needed? You can't actually make 3G video calls(without an app).
Actually, the current Mini Pro is a great phone at the moment. I have no complains except for ICS, but we should be having it soon.
I think Sony will focus on bigger phones now, but if they ever make similar phone I'd like a 3.5" screen with at least HDPI resolution and a little better camera with dual-LED flash, because the current camera is bad at low-light conditions, and of course, keep this beautiful QWERTY keyboard.

what i want is an sony xperia s, but with a hw keyboard
The same plus:
MHL, native 2 way call record, ICS and a slim design, because my loved mini is fat
I don't want any other feature in this mobile which is Made in China(best save money and purchase a Chinese mobile)
fix some bug likes back and menu key ,more slim but not to big ,8mp camera hd emm but i love my xperia right now 'pocket rocket'
i want 3.3inch like xperia ray, not less than 9mm thickness, qHD resolution, 8mp camera w/ exmor r sensor, 1ghz dual core snapdragon processor, floating touch technology, white magic technology, dual speakers, hdmi, ICS (upgradeable to jellybean) w/ xperia s style launcher, 1080p video capture, waterproof, shockproof then call it "xperia M" lol

[Q] Screen change

Correct me if i'm wrong but our Atrix has a TFD LCD. This screen is so bad. Before the Atrix i had a Milestone and the screen was so much better it had a TFT LCD.
So my question is: is there an TFT LCD screen to atrix? Because if I'm right there is not much technology differences between them
It is a TFT LCD.
There is a big difference between similar products from different manufacturers (of internal LCD not phone)
Our device pales against AMOLED displays, especially in direct sunlight. But the AMOLED display is different on different devices too.

This site indicates that they have a TFD
compare-cellphones.org/Motorola-ATRIX-4G-vs-Motorola-DEFY
And they also claim that the Defy screen has a better disply and as I mentioned I had a Milestone and it's screen had better colors and picture quality.
The Atrix screen has better PPI and higher resolution so if they have the same type LCD, then Atrix must be better than Defy and Milestone but I have both and as I said Defy/ Milestone screen is better.
I thought maybe I damage the screen when unlocking bootloader and Changing roms but my friend bought new Atrix and he has the same screen. I would appreciate your help in solving this problem. Many thanks.

This may sound stupid, but have you checked the brightness settings? As I've never compared the two devices you're talking about, I don't know what to tell you.
I have compared it to my brothers s2 & s3 and friends iPhone and can say those displays are better, but as far as usability goes, I'm completely happy with the Atrix display.
Perhaps post a picture of the two devices side by side?

[Q]Ask about xperia sola's screen

BTW just now I compare about my xperia sola with my housemate one and found that my sola's screen is different than my housemate one:
1) My sola's screen test white color is more brighter than my housemate's sola in same brightness setting;
2) The DPI is different when show at quadrant, my sola's is 265x265 while my housemate's is 284x282;
3) Viewing angle also different, my sola's has limited viewing angle while my housemate's is more wider;
4) Color depth hard to say, but for me my sola's color display is more reality than my housemate's sola.
Both Xperia sola is in Stock .54,
My sola's SI number is 6670.6, black color version;
my housemate's sola SI number is 6667.5, white color version.
Can anyone explain what problem in this kind of thing?
BTW just now other forum's member got give me his Xperia sola's screen info, his sola's screen DPI also 284x282 and is white color version Xperia sola, just no ask him his phone SI number.
Can anybody reply my question?
Same here bro, i have two xperia sola one black and one white and screens are different.
My devices info
Xperia sola white purchased from hong-kong
Stock firmware 6.0.b.3.184 GB india
Quadrant DPI = 284x282
Xperia sola black purchased from india
Stock firmware 6.0.b.3.184 GB india
Quadrant DPI = 284x282
But i like black one, much clear blacks and better viewing angle, much easier on eyes.
UPDATE:
Sony explained this issue in this warranty document , Page 13
Minor variations in display brightness and colour may occur between phones. There may be tiny bright or dark dots on the display. It occurs when individual dots have malfunctioned and can not be adjusted. Two defective pixels are deemed acceptable.

Its clear now

which display is best for android

I want to buy an android phone , but i am not understanding that which display is better for smart phone.
Please tell me that which type of display is suitable for me , Like
super amoled
IPS QHD Touchscreen, 16M colors, Multitouch
HD LCD Display
16M colors, IPS LCD captive touchscreen
FWVGA Screen
IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, Multitouch
WHICH ONE IS BETTER IN ABOVE DISPLAYS
Hello
Some explanations :
FWVGA : resolution of 850 x 480
QHD : resolution of 2560 x 1440
qHD : resolution of 960 x 540
HD : 1280x720
you talk about screen technology too :
IPS
Super Amoled
Generally, Super Amoled will be better to display black pixel as it can deactivate pixel. By the way, with this technology the power consumption can be reduced too. Displayed colors are not very accurate too. Used by Samsung
IPS is older and had several evolution. Used by all other
My recommendation :
HD IPS LCD Display 16M colors multitouch

Question: Is opx true black amoled? Answer: No, It has backlight.Enter in, verify .

Are u sure that opx is true black amoled??
What if I say you ... that ..It has a backlight ..
Wanna verify?
Important: make sure u have brightness slider to near low levels. This backlight is not seen at high brightness levels.
Download a gallery like quickpic that lets u open a picture in Fullscreen mode so that picture fills entire screen.
Make a bmp image in ms paint in windows and fill it with perfect black. Or download from some website with hex value coding -enter zero for all numbers
Now load this picture in quickpic or any other Fullscreen gallery.
Switch off every light in ur room .make d room jet dark
Wait a few seconds for your eyes to adapt to darkness
U will see the backlight instead of black.
For more easy recognition see in peripheral field of vision, where low light vision is good. (Focus point of eye doesn't have low light vision ,am a doc.) (see somewhere else, bring in the phone into vision filed)
If u think the gallery is d problem.
Do this same thing in any other amoled phone. You will know the meaning of black.
(I did in Moto x ghost )
It's not a backlight. No AMOLED screen uses a backlight. That would defeat the whole purpose of AMOLED.
What happens is, even if the pixels are black (switched off), they are fed a tiny amount of voltage from the motherboard to allow quick switching of colors so they are never completely turned off. As a result, even when displaying black they emit a very faint glow.
I'm not sure if this only happens on pentile displays (like the one in the OPX and most Samsung phones) and I can't verify since the only AMOLED devices I own are pentile, but my Galaxy S3 Neo also has this "problem". Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it, since even with the glow the blacks are WAY deeper than any LCD display with a backlight can produce.

Thank God man.
I thought my phone is fake display.
Ur reply is proof that knowledge helps..
Btw just curious.. what are you?? How do you know this information not available in internet... So nice to see you man.
And regarding ur doubt, whether this happens in non pentile array amoled ...
NO.
I own a RGB amoled -Moto x ghost phone. It doesn't happen there.
I will check in moto x droid turbo . My cousin has it. So I will do and post results here.
And I wish to add this :
A 312 ppi RGB amoled (I have moto x ghost, 720p, 4.7 inch) is way better much much better than 440 ppi pentile amoled ( I have opx, full HD 5inch)
If I compare the images, they are much cleaner and sharper than opx . It's like the image has a depth, there is some stillness kind of feel. ...( I use colour control kcal, and so I test the displays in many settings not just default.
For example to make the images look similar as moto x ghost so that we can compare, I use rgb values as 32, 30, 27 value at 123, contrast at 121 and then slide the brightness slider to 3/4 or more.
Now both images look same in terms of how much dark areas are visible , the white wash noted in opx is now gone.
Now the images are ready for comparision.
Now the difference is the sharpness or clarity in rgb amoled. The feel difference i get is that there is depth in RGB. Its has a grip.
