Hey guyz im in a bit problem here...actually i have already rooted my phone and its still LOCKED...Now i want to unlock it but i dont know how to start the process....
Should i unroot first? or unlock it while the phone is rooted ? please help.

i have xperia x10 from japan and actually this was given me my sister but my question is how do i found if this is x10a or x10i? sorry my english. i want to know this before rooting because before i root the x10 of my brother and i brick it and after that i never root it again.

You can't brick an x10 first off...
Secondly go to settings> about phone...

EDIT: i thought this is easy to root compare in wildfire im very confuse. in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934486 say need to use flashtool 0.2.6 but when i click link for download a flash 0.2.8 and 0.2.9.1 but i want to use official not beta. is this safe to root using flash 0.2.8 instead of provide PaVi90 in her thread like he said in her tutorial..

Go to the ATRIX general section and read the beginners thread. It will help walk you through every step to unlock and root your phone....I personally am running Rom Racers recovery... briefmobile also has a guide that can help you....good luck

I have upgraded my phone to .62..
I came across posts that said rooting is not possible for .62.. It seems the zergrush exploit isnt working..
So, I've been trying to get my phone to the .42 firmware. Is this necessary?
Also, I think, its necessary to flash the .42 firmware before rooting my phone, right?
SO i've been using Flashtool 0.6.7.0... but my phone just keeps disconnecting after a few seconds.. I know this issue has been discussed before..
But first I "think" I unlocked my bootloader using the testpoint method.. because my phone isn't booting up after the process..
So, i just need someone to guide me through this process.. I might be going wrong somewhere..

Just flash a pre rooted.kernel..
Then use doomlords rooting toolkit to root your device..

Im using a i9300 . It wz bought from china with ICS in it...when i updated to JB via wifi nd it got locked ( network lock) .
I went to service center and temporarily unlocked my phone...Now itz rooted nd working okay....but dat guy from service center told me if i update this it ll be locked again.....
Under this situation...
I jus wanna know IF I FLASH STOCK ROM OF JB OF INDIAN VERSION from sammobile...WILL MY PHONE GET LOCKED AS EARLIER...??

Flashing stock roms shouldn't lock the device.
If you're rooted, use galaxsim unlock from s3 apps forum
