I have a Galaxy S3 I9300. I have rooted it about two months ago. Now, when the Jellybean update came, I immediately updated it via Kies. My problem is- Can I root my phone using the I9300XXDLJ1? Btw, I'm from the Philippines.

What I meant by that was the european root package. The I9300XXDLJ1 root package that was released for european countries. I really wanna make sure I'll boot the right root package cause I might brick my phone if I install the wrong one.
Thanks a lot!
if you have an i9300 then cf root will work
Thanks

just find a cfroot kernel that matches ur phone and flash the same thro' odin u will have root access after that u get a yellow triangle at boot if u want 2 get rid of it then reflash the stock kernel u still have root access so that u can install apps like Titanium bkp. root explorer etc which require root access
please follow the link below for cf-root kernels
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
ps before doing anything make a bkp of ur current rom and read the faq in the link above carefully before flashing anything from the same
you can flash a cf root kernel and keep your stock rom, see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
just for root you can try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719 (up to LP7 it is confirmed working, no problem to try on LP8, read the thread for more information)
Root with CWM : CF-root link is on my signature (recommended)

Hi
I´ve been reading for the past 4 hours to find something to root my phone with but don´t know which file or tutorial I should use or go after with my version of i9300. I updated the phone today using Kies and the last build I got was to PDA: LH3 / Phone: LH1 / CSC: LH1 that was availible for me.
I want to root my phone but need help to choose right files.
I´ve seen how-to´s for LH1 and LH3 but which one should I use ? asking since PDA is LH3 and the rest is LH1
would be grateful for some help in this jungle of threads

Hello guys,
I tried to figure this out but no luck.
Some Kernels, and other downloads (Roms, Recoveries etc) are depends on your Android version (GB, ICS, JB, KK).
What about cf root?
I have i9300, running 4.3
CF-ROOT for ICS and for JB, are the same?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238
CF root stopped development a long time ago .

It says that CF-Auto-Root still has development.
Anyway - Can you explain me how I can be sure which Root belongs to my device?
You asked cf root not cf autoroot i answered .
Read the thread for the root method you want to use ,

JJEgan - I am not sure if you here in XDA to help people, or just to talk BLABLA.
But my question was pretty clear, and you just tell me what not, and some other "non matter" stuff.
I read all CF-Auto-Root thread, but it does not say if the CF-Auto-Root works with KK, JB, or ICS.
Or it works with all i9300?
If anyone knows the answer I will appriciate that! (JJEgan - Thanks but you are not helping)

I have used it on ICS and JB. There is no GB for our device and no official KK. KK roms at the moment will come pre-rooted. If and when we get official KK we will know if it works
Hi,
While trying to find the right and good cf root for my device (i9300, running stock 4.3 JB), I got confused.
What are the differences between the normal and old CF root, to the new thread with Auto root?
Thanks!
Don't use the old CF root, it includes a recovery that isn't SDS safe. CF auto root is the only method updated and which Chainfire still supports.
Thanks!
The auto root, it has one file that supports which Android versions?
Thanks
Best visit the CF auto root thread and research.

Major difference is that:
(1) cf autoroot as said is newer and comes without recovery, whereas cf root comes with recovery (not sds safe!)
