What is your OS? Which ROM do you use?

Have you installed flashtool + flashtool drivers and pc companion. Because they bring the drivers. Are you using linux or Windows? Are you on stock rom, ics or gb?
Do you have unlocked bl? What Kernel are you using?
Same started to happend here. At first I wasn't able to acess MTP, but now MTP is working but MSC is not working. I tried in Windows 7 and Linux Mint but when connected it just showing as drive but not mounted (the icon is faded).

So guys,as I was trying to connect my Phone to my PC via kies,I just noticed that all of a sudden it turns on USB Debugging...
I don't know why its happening but as soon as I turn it off,I'm once again redirected to the point where I have to select b/w Mass Stroage (UMS Mode only) and Kies...
Help??

what rom?
first time it happens?
did you try reinstalling kies and drivers?
did you install the Android SDK?
Ihave problem with Bin4ry's root tool. it doesn't do anything, just says * daemon started successfully * and stopping here. then i tried flashtool, installed drivers from zero. when i connect my device with usb debugging to pc, flashtool says

i think Bin4ry's tool thinks same letters with flashtool. what can i do?

I rooted my Sola using Flashtool v0.9.6.0. Works perfectly for me.
Download the flashtool from here and root it. Make sure you are in MSC mode too.

i have 0.9.8.0 and changed to MSC mode, its still says 03/041/2012 15:41:41 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
Restart your device and connect again.

i installed adb drivers, in msc mode and usb debugging enabled its here in device manager as "android phone". but why it can't seen in flashtool as usb debugging on ? when i try in command prompt with android-sdk typing adb devices there's not any devices. why?

I have the exact same problem. I tried everything and nothing works. Any idea?
try to make a factory data reset and try to turn it on
or try try to flash the ics rom again
if nothing work you need to be an unlocked bootloader user
or if you tried to root with restore while you are opening the flash tool it wont work cuz the root with restore makes any rooting programe not work
My XU can connect in fastboot mode and it will stay like that. But in flashmode it won't stay. I have ALL the drivers, any ideas to what I can do?

you can use this tool to remove usb drivers.

sometimes the usb drivers are corrupt.
run the tool remove all usb drivers for your phone
plug your phone and it will detect new hardware
after rooting and unlocking boot loader usb tethering is not working mobile get stuck as i connect it to pc ..what should i do please help

try with all connection ''modes'', also sd have to be disconnected, to use thether.. (may try thether from play store to see if its mayba a rom ''problem'' (..now))

Did you look into device manager if its recognized there? Do you mean fastboot drivers or normal MTP drivers?
To install the fastboot driver, you need to deactivate the driver signature of windows 8. (just google for it, its very easy)
If it is not recognized at all, try another usb port. Does it work on other PCs?
