Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27467839&postcount=5
Put it to /system/app. Use AROMA File Manager.
When i'm in aroma file manager, it doesn't show system/app, there's only a /system/bin :l

Is /system mounted in CWM?
You have to mount /system in CWM and then you can install the apk.
Unfortunally the HTC Hub app doesn't show any wallpapers or skins
Ah thanks, but there isn't any content in it.

Hello everyone
I have a strange problem. When I playing music on stock or any other player music stops after 10 minutes. Next after resuming playback it stops again after some time. If someone had similar issue ? Many thanks for any advice.
Solved. I restarted whole sense apk and now is ok.

Off the T-Mobile shelf Glacier came with Swype, weather and clock, and mobile office (powerpoint, word and excel). But I rooted and flashed CM6.
What's the best way to restore them?

Hi, you can download a stock rom containing the apks and then using adb or root explorer to overwrite the apk's within your system/apps/ directory. Did you have a backup of your stock rom?
Also I'm not sure if cm6 supports the weather and clock widgets or any other htc sense widgets. You need the sense launcher from those. You can also pull the apks from the ice glacier rom for the quickoffice and swype
What about if the apps are backed up in Titanium? Can they be restored from there?

I'm a noob to installing apps. How do I push apps - new sdk for cm7? which folders? does it have to be in fastboot? Can a paid root explorer install these?

So I have been researching on how to install the HTC eReader apk onto my rooted Evo 3D running CM9 by Joelz. What I found is that i have to move the apk into system/app and then change the permissions, yet every time i move it there it gives me an error. I also tried changing the permissions while the apk was still in the sdcard folder, yet no soup. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking because im HBoot 1.50 it's not true root so i can't change permissions. If that's true any work around? I loved that app and have tried countless others with no satisfaction.

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but in the file manager that you are using, do you have the options set " Mount file system - Mount /./system as writable" ? that could explain the errors that you might be having and also pretty sure if you have to allow it superuser permission... I at times forget myself to make sure to enable it to be writable. Hope it helps....

Not sure, I basically use file explorer and not too much on root explorer. Sorry I couldn't be of any help on this one... but as long you check that "Mount R/O" ( top of the screen ) you should be able to write to the partition you need though.

You would need the frameworks for a Sense build to get the proper icons and stuff, but then also a sense-compatible kernel to make those work.

Hi I'm still kinda new to all this.. one question with this Rom it seems when I take pictures with the HTC camera they turn out grey .. no picture just a grey rectangle. I'm not sure if its the kernal because I installed kernal and recovery 1.0.4 on first page. I've got viper x+ 1.0.8 and viperjbx sence 5 cyan . And help is apriciated
Update I've now installed 1.0.7 recovery and reinstalled the Rom to see if that has a difference .... Still no luck

You could try Layapota's camera mod, perhaps your camera app is screwed up:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22909751817930472
Or the media_profiles file which you can get from my signature below.
Or try wiping and reinstalling the rom then installing one of the latest kernels in the development section marked [kernel] in the post title.

I've downloaded the app now how will I go about removing the old camera and installing this one?.... Tried installing over the top of the faulty one but it said ... App not installed. Will I have to add this to the viper zip? Like take old camera out and replace then reinstall Rom?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
Well its a system app so u can't install it, needs to be placed into the system/app folder which will over ride the current file, then assign permissions.
Or just flash the zip in the recovery, look at the links in my signature if u need more assistance for installing.

Could some one repack htc dockmode.apk and htc dock screen.apk so they will install, there from the new htc onex 4.2.2 update, htc onex+ didn't get them, so if someone could do there magic and make them installable it would be great, I tried copying them top system/app with the odex, but they just wont install. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m0wqp7eapzvz6qh/cQrkQXtFPO
Usually you will have to manually copy to system/app to install.
