Hello Friends,
How can I fix Samsung Galaxy S2 from automatically rebooting ? My Samsung Galaxy S2 plus is rebooting automatically, what is the problem ? What has happened to my cell that it is rebooting often ?
I notice this as one of three things. Either:
1 - I go to use my phone and find it on the SIM PIN enter screen.
2 - I hear the Samsung startup sound as the phone is restarting.
3- I find the phone off.
Samsung Galaxy S2
Model No. GT-I9100
Anroaid version - 4.0.4
Baseband version - I9100DDLPB
Regards & Thank you.

Thanks for reply
I have updated my Samsung Galaxy S2 Anroaid version - 4.0.4 through Samsung Kies.
It is reboots when some times wifi on, brightness on auto or around 20%.
When I take S2 out off my pocket it is either switched off or ask for SIM PIN
Thank you.

Hmm listen like a prob from update.
I would recommend to backup all ur data/apps and then doing a factory reset.
Also u can think about flashin a Rom but don't know if u want to stay an stock to be sure for urself.
PS: RootBox is the Rom I'm using

I hate to admit how much I LOVE seeing these threads where people flash the wrong firmware because they are too lazy to research what they are doing.
Send me your phone, I'll even pay shipping and handling for it. I'll revive it and put it to good use because obviously you have ZERO idea how to use it

I think it's hardware issue but i can't conclude until you tell us
1. when you have experiencing the problem
2. If you ever faced the same problem while using another ROM
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
You can use softkeys which you can enable in ParanoidAndroid. It's a small black bar which appears on bottom of the screen.
still a problem

1.
Flash a custom based stock ROM, with full wipe, if the problem persists, then it's a confirm hardware issue

I really F'ed up.
I was running ICS on my bell Galaxy S2 but I wanted to try the S3 rom that was released here. (Note that I am somewhat a stupid when it comes to android flashing). I installed a CF-root kernel (phone wasn't CWM at the time) but the phone didn't turn work - it would go to black screen.
So I tried a couple different kernels, nothing worked. Then I went crazy and flashing just about everything. Nothing has changed.
When I turn the phone on, it gets stuck at the Galaxy S II screen. When I go to download mode, it is like usual (no CWM, the standard one). And when I go into recovery, it says "Forced Upload, by key pressing".
What can I do now? I would like to just get the phone working at this point, official firmware that works with kies would be nice. S3 rom would be even better.
Whoever helps me solve this would be my hero. Serious.
EDIT: I am now on clockwork recovery if that helps.

Thank you so much. The phone works perfectly now!
If you know how to get it to the S3 rom (or just get the cool gesture features) that would be nice but if not I'll be happy on stock ICS until I learn a lot more about flashing.

Too late, I already did. It works really well except most of the new features (motion and all that) is missing .
Still a good ROM though. To clarify, it's the S3 ROM that was modified to fit the S2. I found it through google.

Thanks guys in advance
Its done. I followed everything and all went smooth. Thanks alot Danny and all of you who replied
You are on the right adress.
If you follow these steps you can root your phone in 5-10 minutes.
1. Turn on your phone, connect it to your pc and install the drivers of your phone (so your phone can connect to your pc)
2. Turn of your phone and remove the usb cable
3. Hold the volume down button, power button and home button for like 10 seconds so your phone go to download mode, press volume up so your phone go further
4. Put the usb cable in your phone and connect it to your pc.
5. Open Odin (download link after tutorial)
If your phone is connected correctly you get a yellow bar with COM: (then a random number)
6. Press ''PDA'' and select the .TAR file (download link after tutorial)
Be sure its a .TAR file, otherwise your phone will brick
7. Press ''START'' your phone will root now, after the root it will reboot automaticly, check if you have this apps: CWM and SuperSU.
Download link Odin:
http://db.tt/fqvwktih (unzip it and copy ALL the files to one folder)
Download link root file:
http://db.tt/kbEY1fEZ (this is the .TAR file)
OR
http://db.tt/h1myMuQl (this is the
.Zip file, be sure to unzip it)
I recommend to download the .TAR file cause you dont have to unzip it)
If you need further help just DM me.

What you will get is reminded that you are supposed to read the rules/not open up multiple threads/search before opening new threads/include details of phone in posts for help.
So if you want help you need to show this forum some respect...lol
In your case ? Very long odds on I'd say.
Edit - For example, if 0 = no chance of you bricking it & 1 = you definitely bricking it, I'd say the chances of you bricking it are 0.99

Theres a chance flashing anything can brick ones phone.
Theres a bigger chance if your on 4.0.4 stock and if you dont know what your doing.

Just make sure you dont make a factory reset on that phone because you'll be affected by the 'Superbrick bug'.

Okay now you're rooted your device you need to make a backup with CWM, after that you can flash ROMS/updates etc.
The first ROM i flashed was CM10 because on the stock i cant use mobile odina and that was a problem.
Tell me which rom you want and i make a tutorial.
