>BP SBF FLASH? - -Allows you to reload a phone that won't boot by using RSD Lite and your PC via USB. Even though your PC won't recognize the phone via USB it will if you go into this mode.

SBF mode is akin to the old bootloader menu and loads firmware in a different format from a single file using a service software utility
AP Fastboot is the new bootloader menu for loading firmware via the command line fastboot interface. This is where the firmware is flashed as discreet image files.
BP tools contains hardware diagnostic and repair options and are used to repair your dead phone with aid of specific software , ( usually they first dowgrade your boot version and then proceed with other instals) you get options like repair , testpoint etc , USB BP bypass etc.. I dont have much info on this as its used by your moto service centre.
As far as you are concerned you will be using the AP fastboot mode when ur phone is totally bricked to flash your fastboot files..

BP tools , even I am trying to find out more info..

bp tools
I downgraded my HD to the 4.0.4 thinking the reason why the phone wouldn't install the QC Interface because it was on 4.1.1, not the case tho this phone still will not install the drivers, Tried a virtual port with the phone being connected in MPT connections, still can't connect to a serial port, the device is in Usb debugging, tried booting into reg mode, then back into bp tools nothing, guess the next search is for a HD Rom that may have the bp tools compiled into it.. Any help appreciated.
thanks !!

someone know I can do?
what the phone do if you push these boutons :
Volume UP + Volume Down + Power . hold 5 sec ?
he boot or do nothing ?
Assuming you have an X912 (VZW CDMA RAZR)?
Download the fastboot files here
Download and install RSD Lite Here
Download and install Moto Drivers here
If you hold all 3 buttons on the side of the phone it should force a reboot and it'll kick you into the moto recovery bootloader. Select AP Fastboot.
For instructions on using RSD use the interwebz. Too much for me to type out.
Flash the recovery file via RSD.
That will return it back to factory (ver .744). You should get an update notification but if you want to pull it you can do that too.

hello, i am a newcomer to android, recently bought a droid razr xt910 off kijiji.
it worked fine but had the latam rom so i couldnt get updates past 2.3.5. So i tried changing to eu using this tutorial vid by razr guy on how to unbrick/ upgrade/ downgrade your razr
however during the setup with the .bat file it said infopreflash validation failure After it finished it ended up boting to the ap fastboot screen. now every boot option and menu leads to it.
i need a fix soon or the phone will run out of charge.
id greatly appreciate it if someone could help me, please
the clock is ticking
since you just got it you might aswell get the new ICS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1643425

Hi Dylan
Wellcome to XDA and android community
Our Razrs are region signed and you cannot flash another region rom in a latam device.
We have a 2.3.6 firmware to latam devices actualy
You may flash this with rsd lite

This is a how-to guide for razr

You have to start it in ap fastboot mode.
power + vol up + vol down (to turn off and enter bootmenu)
then
vol down (to navigate to ap fastboot) and vol up (to select).
Conect your phone, start rsd lite, unzip the rom I've pointed and flash.
Wait 'till it finish flashing and start the phone. (tip: do not close rsd lite 'till phone reboots again).
Good luck

You need to buy a Motorola Factory Cable. They are very cheap. I had to buy one as well, and it fixed my Razr in Boot Failure.
Buy one here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...kw=motorola+factory+cable+&_sacat=0&_from=R40
*Make sure it's the right cord for your device (XT910)* DO NOT BUY FROM CHINA!! (I have had bad experience)
How to use it: http://www.usbstyle.com/cables/moto...able-for-fastboot-mode-unroot-unbrick-rooted/
(Scroll down for instructions)
No need to use RSD Lite, just use Razr Utility 1.82!

[Q] SVF: 108: 1:2 Failed to boot 3 Starting RSD mode

I am having a problem. I was trying to upgrade to Jelly bean 4.1 on this Atrix 4g. I tried to go through the steps that it gave online with the CM10 n Cyro and all. Long story short it couldn't find the rom within the zip or something of that nature. In other words, it screwed me over. I can't get back into recovery. It's been giving me this error:
SVF 108:1:2
Failed to boot 3
Starting RSD mode
Before it was giving me just:
Failed to boot 4
Starting RSD mode
I had tried reseting to factory through the moto-fastboot but of course it failed. I have been tryin like crazy to flash various SBF from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6. I was originally at 2.3.6 but for what ever reason when I try the RSD lite it gives me the error after it executes "Phone did no re-enumerate after RAM downloader was sent". (0x703e). I have been reading forums literally all day. Perhaps I am not understanding something therefore I am missing it but maybe one of you guys could help me out with this? Maybe there is a real simple fix or maybe I completely ruined it? Either way it would be nice to get some help on this. Basically when I was trying to upgrade to 4.1 I followed "How to upgrade the Atrix 4G to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean via CyanogenMod 10" off of the androidauthority website. I got to step 9 but it couldn't find the ROM, by then it was too late.
UPDATE: So I got just that and RSD was flashing it until it reached yet another error:
failed flashing process. Failed flashing process. Phone[0000]: error switching phone BP pass through mode (0x70BE); phone disconnected.

I'm no expert, you can wait for an expert response but what i couldnt understand is why you try to flash a SBF. The manual you refer to is a CWM based installation, with a zip file, not a SBF.
So do you have CWM recovery flashed? Do you have the related zip file downloaded to sdcard?

Do you have an unlocked bootloader? Does the word "Unlocked" appear when you power the phone on? You must have an unlocked bootloader for sure. IF not, you must unlock it.
his is the guide you were following;
http://www.androidauthority.com/atrix-4g-mb860-android-4-1-1-jelly-bean-cyanogenmod-10-cm10-106639/
As said there, it requires unlocked, rooted Atrix with with ClockworkMod Recovery installed
I guess you can still unlock the bootloader and install cwm recovery. Just search and find instructions.
HEY
i have the same problem also.... and the same error...
is your phone fix already?
could you tell me how?

Help needed, stuck at Fastboot Mode

Hello guys!
I've been looking for a solution to this problem, I have a Moto One XT1941-5 that was never rooted nor bootloader unlocked. I left it charging and after about one hour it was at Fastboot Mode, it says that it failed booting from normal mode. Even if I try to restart or start normally, it gets back to Fastboot.
What have I done until now?
- Tried to flash the whole latest STOCK ROM again (manually with fastboot tools)
- Tried with a ROM from another region (mine is OPENMX and tried with RETLA) and I get the same
- Tried with Repair Assistant from Motorola, nothing happens.
- Tried to unlock bootloader, it asks me to enable OEM unlock on Developer settings (I can't, phone doesn't power up)
* Something that gets me confused is about the slots, $fastboot getvar all reports that none of the slots are bootable, every time I flash the ROM it says that slot A is bootable and B not, or that A is not bootable and B yes, or none of the slots are bootable.
Here are some screenshots about the info I have.
You can follow these steps from https://forum.xda-developers.com/motorola-one/how-to/unroot-ota-wipe-data-tested-t3905745 and then fastboot erase userdata and try to boot again.

UPDATE:
- I finally found a blankflash (my phone still the same) but you can give it a try.

1. To make your phone go to Qualcomm 9008 all you have to do is download an Android 8.1 stock rom from any region, flash it all using fastboot. You may get an error trying to flash boot.img but keep flashing the files.
2. Once you finish flashing and type: "fastboot reboot", your phone will boot into Qualcomm mode, it should be listed in Device Manager.
3. DISABLE any antivirus and download this blankflash, just unzip it and execute the blankflash.bat file.
4. Your phone should boot up in fastboot mode and you can start flashing the latest stock rom.

Indeed, after flashing an Android 8 firmware my phone went into Qualcomm 908 EDL mode. After blankflashing and flashing the latest firmware had the same issue with "No bootable A/B slot". The same state before hardbricking the phone (AP Fastboot flash mode secure).

* Something that gets me confused is about the slots, $fastboot getvar all reports that none of the slots are bootable, every time I flash the ROM it says that slot A is bootable and B not, or that A is not bootable and B yes, or none of the slots are bootable.
Here are some screenshots about the info I have.

No, lmsa would recognise the phones after A10 update, but the problem persists. Someone who has repaired this or someone who has managed to take it to the service or managed to revive the phone from this state? With locked bootloader

That didn't help either, there's nothing else we can do than replacing the main board.
Hello.
I have a similar problem. I have tried all of the methods listed, unfortunately nothing works. I ended up replacing the motherboard. The old PCB is waiting, maybe someday it can be repaired.

Question I screwed up...moto X40 bricked / Any EDL mode available?

Hi guys sadly I completely softbricked my motorola X40 phone i'm a idiot.
I flashed to a wrong firmware file (edge 30 pro) and re-locked bootloader then found it phone doesn't properly boot anymore.
I can boot it in fastboot mode but flashing in normal fastboot mode doesn't work with locked bootloader and lenovo rescue tool can't help me either.
Edit: Weirdly I managed to boot it up and it shows as a "motorola edge 30 pro" and I can control my screen with a USB mouse.
But when I try to enable "OEM unlocking" in developer options the settings app just crashes.
But my problem stays the same, i'm still stuck with a locked bootloader
Is there any chance to trick this phone into EDL mode or any working blankflash?
Any suggestions? i'd appreciate it

It doesn't matter if the oem lock is on to flash the stock firmware.
You can directly flash the right firmware via fastboot. Lenovo rescue tool may not flash...

Hi thanks for the response, how to flash directly stock firmware? which method should I use? This is what I get when I try to flash anything through adb (phone in fastboot mode) I added a screenshot from adb in windows and took a picture from my phone to show in which fastboot mode it shows.
Tried several things flashing directly from adb but it always says permission denied because of the bootloader lock, maybe i'm doing something wrong.
It's not adb, it's fastboot mode.
Where you are is right.
It will be in the mode in the screenshot of the device, that's right.
Use the one in the file i gave you.
Here are the guidelines.
01. Download the latest Firmware from lolinet
02. We extract the firmware.zip, open servicefile.xml and copy the contents into this website
03. Download the mfastboot.rar ADB i gave and put it in the rom folder you extracted.
04. We put the flashfile.bat we created (Step 02. Extract, open servicefile.xml and copy the content to this site) into the rom folder you extracted.
05. Reboot your phone into fastboot (adb reboot fastboot or press and hold Power + Volume Down)
06. Everything is ready, click on the ''flashfile.bat'' file.
07. Don't disconnect the phone until the update has finished.

Hi thanks for helping me, I downloaded the right firmware, uploaded the servicefile.xml to the site you gave me and created the flashfile.bat. Pasted the flashfile.bat into the samen folder as the rom and also extracted the mfastboot.rar into the same rom folder.
Then clicked on the flashfile.bat but sadly I get the same error's (Permission Denied)
My phone is still in fastboot mode (right screenshot)
Any idea's?

Very interesting, it shouldn't give such an error. You are flashing Motorola signed images, you don't need the bootloader unlocked for this Sorry i can't be of more help, i hope you can recover your device...

Yea indeed well thanks anyway, my only hope left is a third party recovery tool that supports this phone in future.
I'll put the X40 in my closet until then and buy another new phone in the meanwhile don't have much of a choice lol.
Hello!
Did you try RSDLite tool to flash firmware?

I tried but the issue is there that it doesn't detect the port / device on the RSDlite tool.
Meanwhile I can see in devicemanager in windows the phone is detected in ADB/fastboot mode but RSDlite tool needs some portmode to succeed, the tool says it doesn't detect my device. I can't seem to connect it with that port RSDlite tool needs, also tried general ADB drivers but didn't help either. I also saw in one topic to make it work with RSD tool you need to install the qualcomm drivers, but these drivers don't work with this phone in normal fastboot mode. In other words I can't seem to RSD tool recognise my phone on the needed port. I think this tool only works in EDL mode (+qualcomm driver) but my moto X40 doesn't yet support EDL mode I think.
https://androidmtk.com/use-rsd-lite-tool
=> I followwed this tutorial but @ Step nr.8 there isn't any port or device detected even when my phone is correctly in fastboot mode
I tried Generic ADB drivers and the official motorola USB drivers, both detected in devicemanager in windows but RSDtool lite didn't detect my phone.

@mark332 Any idea's?
I have the same problem, because I did the same thing hahaha, I tried these methods and nothing was successful, I tried to use Lenovo's RSA, but it only installs the correct firmware and Fastboot, but when it comes to rescuing it just has a "Warning" message.

Guess we are in the same boat loll xp having indeed the exact same message. I think the RSA tool detects the right device but it checks for some sort of keys/verification and sees it isn't the right firmware so it stops flashing.
I have found out you can also enter recovery mode by selecting "recovery" in fastboot mode with the key buttons.
Then you need to press power button + down key for 3 seconds, then short the volume up key.
Youll get a other menu with also fastboot mode and adb sideload etc...
but again sadly neither fastboot or adb sideload did work for me
When I tried to flash the original firmware in sideload mode trough ADB it gives a"verification error"
In fastboot mode it says that it can't flash with locked device
I hope this info will be any useful for people stumble upon this topic in the future and maybe help to unbrick this phone.

Hey man thanks for your response, sadly i'm on a 64bit windows 11 version. Would it be any different than the 64bit driver vs 32bit you think? Because have tried this several times can't get RSD lite detect my phone . In device manager it's detected first as "fastboot rtwo s" and when the moto 64bit driver is installed it's detected as "motorola ADB interface" so it's correctly detect by the system.
My phone is also in fastboot mode never the less RSD lite tool doesn't detect anything
Guess I could try to install windows 10 32bit i'll keep this updated

I also have 64 bit Win11 machine with RSD Lite installed and it can't detect phone.
But when I connect it to my old laptop(Win10-32 bit,RSD Lite) phone is detected instantly.
Try to find someone who has machine with 32 bit Windows and try to rescue your phone.
Tip from professionals: RSD Lite works best with older version of a 32 bit Windows...

Just tried on my older 32bit computer with windows 10 and installed the 32bit driver for motorola. Sadly the issue is the same, RSD lite doesn't detect the moto x40. Where did you download the driver?
Motorola USB Driver for Windows 32-Bit/64-Bit - Driver Market
Download now the latest and official Motorola USB Driver for Windows. We shared the latest Motorola USB Driver for Windows.
www.drivermarket.net
Reinstall driver and restart PC(mandatory),it should work then.

Tried that too several times but thanks for the suggestion anyways.
Took my time also this evening to reinstall a clean windows 32bit version, installed 32bit moto driver again from your link.
Reboot, nope
Same issue, RSD lite doesn't detect anything while the driver and device is recognized in device manager whatever I tried last 2 weeks.
I also opened the phone and searched on the motherboard for EDL test points, no avail too.
I think the RSD tool lite or the usb driver needs a update for this device or someone needs to find out how to get this phone into EDL mode. This can take months maybe years who knows lol
I just gave up and bought myself a new phone (xiaomi 13)
