maybe you can use the go launcher's sms app, it can give you good results. I haven't tried it yet
I have tried stock sms, handcent sms, go sms, and it is the same bad quality on every one

Picture will be compressed before sending as mms. So quality definitely poorer.

Yeah pic max size for mms image is like 640x480 so dont expect miracles.
Who uses mms these day anyway? I think the only person that has ever sent me an mms is my dad from his three or four years old nokia phone.

I have s2 before the s3, on s2 it's god quality on mms, on s3 it so compressed

We had the same problem when we ported i9000 roms to the vibrant. Much like you see between s2 and s3 the mms app is exactly the same. The solution was to change an XML in the app so that it used Google servers instead of samsungs. If someone would like to test I can probably try it tonight but don't have an S3 yet. Of course you'd have yo be rooted to test.

Please do.

I would just like to be able to send and receive mms without it being converted to a slide show, I can't zoom in on pictures of anything without saving it first then looking at it. I find that annoying

The MMS I receive on mine are acceptable (considering the standard limitations)
But I rarely use MMS since ChatOn surpasses it completely. It's free and as long as your buddy uses it, you can send full quality pictures and other files at almost no cost. Not sure if there is a version for iPhone thought. But there are other multiplatform solutions.
Someone give this a go. If not sure how to do it please PM me and I will help. I have no way of testing but I did see in the XML that it was the same as before using Samsung as the provisioning agent so I just switched that with Google otherwise nothing was changed.
maybe its because of the high res screen ?
I have not root my s3 and i should not do it.
When i send for example a picture with a size of 150 kb from my wifes phone, when i received the picture to my phone the size is only 13 kb, but when i send a mms from my phone to my phone the size is 150 kb when i send it and 150 kb when i received it. Is it a softwhere bug from samsung or should i send my phone for reparation? Please.

What do you use to send a picture to someone's phone?
Mine are perfectly fine with both the stock and GoSMS. (Although I don't use the stock SMS program.)
In GoSMS you can set it to preserve image quality.
Bit of a strange one but anytime after i make a call and go to hang up it instead of ending the call on the dialpad it my screen is showing (as per below)
How is this happening and what can i do to prevent this from happening, i have to press the back buttong to go back into the dialpad
Cheers
No one have any idea why the phone goes like this after i make a call?

No ive always had Lookout on my phone, it appears to be only doing this since ive flashed LFB which is very good for battery life but i cant be dealing with this happening every time i make a call.
Reboot phone, re flash lfb and wipe some cache

I updated and rooted my phone and now the picture button which we see while shooting video is gone. I cant take photos while shooting videos. I looked in settings but still nothing. I tried restoring camera apk from omega rom as i dont have stock rom files but it gave error.

Hi
Why is my homescreen updating or rewritten so often? Have realy gone through my widget settings but it still looks like a memory problem to me.
Please what can i do about it?

Search for something called 'Pimp my rom' on XDA. Flash that and in aroma select keep launcher in memory.
Otherwise stop clearing ram.

Sorry to say that i have not yet rooted or modified my device. So i guess i have to live with it and hope that JB is removing this ****ty behavior.
Can you (or someone else) tell me why this is happening... is it low memory or what? It happens just out of the blue, it does not do this every time with one condition some time it does and some time it does not. Almost kind of a random behavior.

Do you often clear the ram from the task manager? This causes the launcher to be cleared as well and it'll have to redraw every time you press home. Just restart the phone and don't clear memory so much from the default Task manager. It should solve your problem.

Hi,
I have this strange issue, I can access for example Xda using Tapatalk when I am on wifi, but when I turn it off and use 3G it says I can not connect. Then i switch on wifi again and then it works.
It is the same with all forums when I connect through Tapatalk. This started when I went from Stock ICS, rooted running A1 kernel and moved to Toldos Jellybean V6 rom, also with A1 kernel. Any ideas/suggestions what could cause this strange phenomenon?
Thanks!

Solved problem by removing proxy and port under APN settings (was set automatically)
