Today I get a message on my screen that there was a new update. I clicked install and the phone turned off and installed the update with the little android man on the screen. When it was finished (about 5-7 minutes) the phone booted back up.
The phone is running much faster and smother but the android version is still 4.1.1 ????
Anyone know what this update was for. I can't find any update log to see what was done to the phone.
This might be wrong, but i heard there was a small update to give true 64gb microcd support, that is being rolled out.

There was an update for Indian S III firmwares today, and it is 4.1.1.
Don't worry about it.

Hey guys,
Title says it all - I see changelist id's with newly released official firmware, but never a changelog of what's changed!
Eg.
Base Firmware: I9100XWLPF (4.0.3)
Country Italy
Carrier: Unbranded
Build Date: 18th May 2012
Modem: XXLPX
CSC: OXILP6
Change List: 592261
If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be fantastic.
Cheers
It is well known that Samsung doesn't release official changelogs, mainly because Samsung doesn't give a **** about you or me.
Ah ok, thought that was the case. No matter what I searched for, couldn't find anything lols..
Thanks!

I am trying to do a complete reset on my phone to get ready to go to a service center. However I am unable to find a completely stock UK version of 4.04, 4.1.2 or 4.3. I have tried everywhere but even though it says UK BTU ( my phone was unlocked from day one ) I have so far had Dutch, German, Swiss and even a Chilean rom.
Could some one please point me to one please.

Hello there,
I own a Samsung S4 Mini I9190 unbranded from United Arab Emirates, using Android JellyBean 4.2.2.
AP: I9190XXUBNA1
CP: I9190XXUBNA1
CSC: I9190OJVBNA1
I am unable to make the KitKat 4.4.2 update since apparently it is not available for such region. However, I came across this article on the web:
update-galaxy-s4-mini-i9190-xxucng1-android-442-firmware from Team Android (sorry I'm not able to post links yet)
The author claims any unbranded I9190, regardless the region, should be able to perform the manual update to KitKat using the firmware provided:
Model: GT-I9190
Model name: GALAXY S4 mini
Country: Russia
Version: Android 4.4.2
Changelist: 1995154
Build date: Thu, 03 Jul 2014 03:51:09 +0000
Product Code: SER
PDA: I9190XXUCNG1
CSC: I9190SERCNG1
MODEM: I9190XXUCNG1
Is it safe to try it out? I have already backed up everything.
Is there anything I should know about? I don't feel that comfortable with using an update intended for a different firmware.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Regards,
