I am using the Live with Walkman and i tried out a few roms in between.. I am currently on stock rom(.587). I never had any battery issues after coming back to stock from custom roms... But now my battery is going down at enormous rate.. I had it full charged at night.. When i woke up around 8 hrs later.. It was 2%. I have active WiFi connection. My Android OS used 82% battery... So i went to recovery and restored from the backup. I also calibrated my battery. Now the WiFi uses around 50% battery and the rest is taken by Cell Standby and Phone Idle..
Please help!! :crying:
I think you should flash your phone again with flash tool, and then calibrate again and give it some days to become normal...
Just my opinion...

You battery drain mostly depends upon the Kernel you are using.. Stock kernel are not good for battery.. I have used Mesa Kernel on Stock it works far better then Stock and other kernels

You might get Wifi issue ... there are two possible solutions..
Restart your device twice or thrice.. Still if don't work..
Then Go to Root System Folder and Delete wlanfixed file.. you need root browser and Root permission to delete it..
and try latest Mesa kernel i.e V-2.3

Hello "fresh" users !
I got the phone 2 days ago.
On the second day I root it, flashed custom rom.
Then I found two weird things:
1- Is screen delay.
2-Screen OFF animation glitch (CRT).
I wipe everything I can, I did full restore, back up, nothing help !
I try almost all roms, nothing help. (Only my stock and Lite'ning Rom work good)
The problem was "Kernel" (deep sleeping)
To FIX this problems: I recommended Ninphetamine kernel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172520
http://ninpo.qap.la/kernels/sgs2/ninphetamine-1.3/
Again this kernel FIX for me "delay" and "CRT" (1.4 only) (1.3 CRT issue detected)
This little HELP only for "beginners"....Be happy with your new device !
What do you mean by "CRT glitch"?
Always been working for me, no matter which kernel/ROM I was using

Now that you say that... I think I have it, mix of black and white stripes x_x and i'm using ninphetamine's kernel
No no no!
The only reason that version 1.4 has no wake lag is that it doesn't sleep, so you will get huge standby drain.
1.4 has debug code in it! Don't use it unless you are debugging crashes!
DONT USE 1.4!

Finally installed the QISS ROM... To be frank its a battery saver!! Though its simple package but still has minimum apps to be working efficiently. I hav mentioned the pros and cons of the ROM below.
Pros
1. Light package just ~132 MB
2. Battery backup has gud standby ~ 1-1.5days
3.Doesnt hav much bloatware simple apps.
Cons
1. Doesnt hav much support for theme(MAy be initial stage)
2. Still a BETA version so except problems.
3.NO ONSCREEN BUTTONS.
Apart from these the ROM is really fast.. as ppl said it ll never go slow its GS2..

Gents I have installed it on my SGS2 and to tell you the truth, it is really great. Fast, smooth, new, and the most important battery friendly.
I can provide you later with a Billion Uploads link to the ROM if you want to try.

+1 I've also installed the Rom as my secondary Rom, :cyclops: and i have to agree with punkthemonk it is fast and fluid. Its also very MIUI like with the CM9 as base.
Hope this helps!! :fingers-crossed:

I said, the pic u posted was of low res..and battery backup means how many hours of display ur getting from tis ROM?
I know they were low res. It was the quickest way to post them.
I get about 14 to 16 hours of standby.
I am a pretty heavy user, I have like 6 email addresses, a couple of twitter accounts, facebook, all syncing, and I also watch internet tv.

Yeah but those are things you can do in gb also
Underclock, undervolt, change governor to powersave, decrease the screen brightness, disable data and wifi.
guys just visit here http://developer.sonymobile.com/201...ndby-mode-sonys-new-power-save-feature-video/ its amazing!! wish someone can port it.....
I set the phone to use 2G networks only.
Unfortunately I do not know how many uA (micro Ampere) this saves (if any).
maybe your battery is dead, buy new one... i have phone 6 month and dont have any problem with battery...changed a lot roms and kernels, not big difference.

no body can say u what this is exactly causing by.....
oh, wait I KNOW THE CAUSE: its bcuz sony is an a**hole and forgot our devices, so were fu**ed up with wifi in JB roms blame sony
but i faced if u turn off wifi optimaziton, it gets bit better (iv u have this option...) also try to change kernel OR BETTER ROM!
bcuz wifi is mostly kernel related...... maybe a diffrent kernel solves it for u, if its very important to dl things (without break...)
btw wifi in legacy xperia 4.2.2 roms is now very usable menas no disconnects (nearly )

Are you using any power saving app which optimizes the connection and turns off wifi to save battery? I know this most probably isn't the reason but I thought I'd mention anyway!
