These phones don't exist! I'm currently an AT&T USA Subscriber, and I want a telus/att phone that would work w/ 4G/3G speeds, has a keyboard, - but there aren't any phones available.
Stuck to be forever using my slow, 3G, Motorola Milestone (telus) ????

So does the AT&T Atrix 4G work on Telstra's new 4G network? I've got it running on Telstra and have rung them to ask but it seems they're only selling the HTC 4G phone and don't want BYO phone/sim going onto 4G???
I have an atrix that is unlocked and has a T-mobile sim card. But its stuck on Edge and never been on 4g let alone even 3g. Is there a custom rom and/or kernel that can fix this issue?
The atrix isn't 4G capable (lacks the hardware) and T-mobile uses a different frequency for their 3G networks that the Atrix doesn't support.
So yeah you're stuck on edge as long as you're using T-mobile on the atrix
Seriously?

I have been considering the Atrix 4G from AT&T. it is advertised as 4G by ATT. I ready a couple reviews that said it was slow, but I assumed that might be from all the bloatware. I guess I should be looking at a different phone, if the Atrix 4G is really not 4G.
First find the specs of the device. Only devices listed as LTE are real 4G. You can find it in radio frequencies. At&t only has a few but verizon has a plenty to choose, although according to user feedback 4g devices are battery hogs, while on 4g of course.

If you want fast / reliable data speeds you best be looking at a different carrier than AT&T.
Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G using Tapatalk on AT&T, the company that disappoints me so much that I have to use my tapatalk signature to tell everyone
Well that sucks... I guess I'll be continuing my search. I'm new here but am loving the available information and the responsiveness of the members. Thanks again.
Hello all. Is it possible to get my Note to stay on T-Mobile's HSPA+ only (which I assume is the "E" symbol that shows up on the Note when not on 4G)? Where I am the 4G signal and speed is too inconsistent for me. But on the flipside the "E" signal on the ICS KID modem is faster than using the stock AT&T modem.
flash the tmobile radio
Tmo_SGH-T989_VKL1_radio_ATTNOTE
will the Tmo_SGH-T989_VKL1_radio_ATTNOTE work on the LG Thrill 4g from at&t unlock to tmobile now
I have two Samsung S5's on T-Mobile. One is stock but rooted (only shows 4G) & the other is pure stock and works as expected. Any thoughts? Considering flashing it back to stock and see what happens
Settings -> About -> Status
Mobile Network Type.
Does it say LTE on both?
check service menu
*#2263#
Mobile Network Type =UMTS for the rooted phone, LTE for the stock. Ok I got in to service mode, what should I do from there?
On our galaxy S5 the 4G alone is really 3G, the LTE is really 4G speeds. T-mobile had the speed reporting configured this way on our devices. I did a comparison over the weekend, my phone was running CM11 and my wife was running stock. Mine would show either H+ or H (3G GSM) while hers showed 4G.

I have noticed that while in 4G the speeds were remarkably similar to 3G, I thought it was just My phone acting like that....
Hi there, i was able to get one of these from a local walmart for about $150 bucks, its a Verizon Prepaid samsung Galaxy S4 i545PP i545ppvruaoh7 is the build, and it comes with lolipop.
the reason why i bought is is because according to http://willmyphonework.net/
this phone was supposed to support 4G LTE Band4-AWS , but it does not!
it sure comes unlocked, i can put any sim card and i get signal, i get 2g, 3g, H, H+
I tried different sim cards and the best it can do is H+ on all of them.
I tried changing it to global, and also changing it to LTE GSM etc on the android menu but i have no luck.
Is there any way to enable the 4G on this phone? I live in a contry where all carriers use the same 3G and 4G that At&T uses. So here all At&T phones got 2g, 3g,and 4g out of the box. And i thought this verizon phone supported 4G Band4.

Are you sure ATT uses band 4 (AWS - 1700/2100) in your area? ATT uses a number of different LTE bands in different areas, and the Verizon S4 (prepaid or not) only supports band 4.
im sure my carrier uses same band as At&T, 100% positive that my carrier uses Band 4.
reason is because i also bought two other phones, a moto E At&T gophone and i unlocked it and i got 4G icon at first boot with the carrier here.
but verizon galaxy S4 prepaid is different, i canĀ“t get more than H+, i have never seen the 4G icon
and i dont think there is a hack for it to enable all bands
