How to move the phone app to SD card ?
Thx for reading my question.
Have you installed a ROM with Apps2SD, and partitioned your SD card appropriately?

external_sd vs ext_sd

Got a noob question for you guys. I just installed a 32g sd card and I would like that to be recognized as my main sd card when I install apps (Beyond Pod comes to mind) For example, with Beyond Pod, it sees my internal 16g as my sd card instead of my real sd card. How can I do this? It was never a concern on my Sensation as it automatically chose the sd card.Thanks.
Ok, after a search I did a EXT3 partition but it didn't really help. If someone could tell me how or direct me to a way/app that can correct this for me, i'd appreciate it
Maybe there is a setting that allows you to choose default install location, but you should be able to manually move any app to sd. Settings>applications>manage applications>(menu button>sort by size)choose an application>move to sd card
Just be aware(I'm sure you are) if you install an application to sd that has widgets you use, those widgets won't work right anymore.. Personally I leave everything on the internal SD as it seems to have better performance, but I put my music, movies, etc on the external..
Thanks, I know about the move to sd I was just hoping there was a default way to just set the external sd as my main sd card.
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA App
Maybe the app has to support it? I know with spotify, before you log in, hit the menu button (on the phone) and it will give you an option to select sd location. Granted you have to enter it manually but i figured it out.

Transferring apps downloaded to external SD card

How to transfer the apps that I downloaded to the external sd card to save the internal storage space. Don't seem to find such function in Setting.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Go to setting / application and choose the application to move to the sdcard, them press the button "move to sd card"
Please bearing in mind that not all applications run in sd card

That button will kind of work, but not in the way you would think. What that will do is transfer the application out of Android's dedicated App Storage space and into the normal internal SD card storage. There is no way to install apps to an external SD without rooting and re-mounting your external SD to a location (/mnt/sdcard/Android/Data from memory) through Terminal or a script.

[q] titanium backup how to move apps to sd?

I installed latest version of Titanium Backup (6.0.5). But I don't know how to move apps to sd card. There is only solution for older versions of "tb" on the Internet. Help me please :crying:
Tried long clicking on the app? There's an option "move to sd card"
No "move to sd card" option

So I have my SD card formatted both in FAT32 and ext2, but no option appears in TB to move to sd card. I'm running a "Liquid Smooth" ROM on my SGH-T999 Tmo SGS3
Any ideas what's wrong?
I have same problem....
Use menu button in right upper, scrolling down, there is option to mode/integrate app
Sent from my C2105 using xda premium
same here. I cant even get Titanium to backup apps to the SD card
Isn't there anyone with a solution to this - I'm not getting the batch action to move / integrate to SD card only the option to move/ integrate to ROM .
There is some indication from other forums that it is something to do with how the SD card is formatted but I don't know what ??

[Q] Is there any way to bring MOVE APP TO SD CARD option in app manager?

I wanted to know if there is anyway to move apps to SD card or to set install location to sd1...
My internal storage is more than 80% full (almost apps but no media files)..
Model: Z2 D6503
Android Version: 4.4.4 rooted
Download and install "Titanium Backup". Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Open the program and click on the options button of your phone and click on batch. You'll see a number of operations followed by a run button after each one. Scroll down and you'll see "move all user apps to SD card", click on run and you are done.
Remember:
Without partitioning the SD card, you will always have part of the apps on internal. With partitioning the SD card, you can move the entire apps to SD card.

After partitioning the SD card ,phone didn't recognize the sd card
Then I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sylkat.AParted&hl=en ,and it worked for partitioning..
But Titanium backup doesn't have "move all user apps to SD card" option so I used Link2SD and Link2SD recognized the ext2 partition but after moving apps to SD card ,it says your phone doesn't support move apps to SD because its primary external memory is emulated from the interal storage..
