Getting bt voice command to launch google now instead of s voice - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Find some tutorials to get google voice to replace s voice as the application triggered by voice command intent with bt...but I can't seem to get it running perfectly.
Installed bluetooth launch
Disabled s voice from app manager
This enables me to select a new default app for the voice command intent.
I have two options
Bt launch and google search
Google search launches the voice dialer which is not what I want
With bt launch I selected voice search activity under google search and it seems to launch the right app except it's stuck at initializing.
Anyone use the same setup and manage to get it to work?

[Q] Text-to-Speech (TTS) Force Closes In CM7

I installed CM7 build 08082011 on my Inspire 4G, and I've been using it for a few months and TTS has never worked (Navigation, Speaktoit, Voice Dialer etc.); it always FCs.
I've tried v. 2.0 and 3.1.
Any ideas?
Tts need voice search.apk as well. Do you have it?

I do; and Voice Search works well actually. Voice Dialer however has never worked; it pops up and never says anything (i.e. "Speak Now"), and doesn't take my commands either.
I had force close last time. But I forgotten that I've frozen my tts library or anything about voice command. Once I defroze, everything works.

I'll mess around with that and get back.
Okay, apparently there's an app called TTS Service. I had it uninstalled for some reason. I restored it (thank you TB) and everything's awesome.

Where is standard voice command? S voice is terrible.

I've been playing around S voice and it's worse than the standard voice command android comes with. I was trying to find the app for it but could not. Only S voice was in the applications. I saw it is installed under "manage applications" but I can't open the application. Can someone help me find the file to run the standard voice command app? Thanks.
Couldn't agree more. I used the stock "Voice Search" app on my last phone to send text messages ("Text [CONTACT] message [MESSAGE]"), and it worked great. "S Voice" is pitiful. Has a tough time recognizing my contact names, and doesn't even pick up spoken punctuation.
So to bring back the option to use the "Voice Search" app, I just uninstalled the one that came with the phone (version 3.something), and then reinstalled from the market (which currently has version 2.1.4). Was able to find it in my app tray after that.
One caveat: I'm rooted, and uninstalled using Titanium Backup. You may not be able to do it from the "Application Manager".
Hope this helps!
Yeah I removed it as well. I found it too slow to respond to what you say. Anyway voice command doesn't really seem that useful to me. If I set an alarm using voice I would be paranoid and check the alarm was actually set.

Bluetooth and eCID

Using Enhanced SMS and Caller ID with a Jawbone Era, I can't get the voice reply for SMS to work. Whenever I get an SMS and try to voice reply, it launches a Google voice recognition applet which I presume is part of the Google search app. Based on a little digging around the internet, it seems that Google Search on 4.1.1 is the issue ...

Does anyone know if this was fixed on later OS's?
Did you still need help?

[REQ] Shortcut - Send BT command to activate Google Now

Hey all,
This is sort of a request/question, so bear with me.
I would like to be able to use my galaxy gear to start Google Now on my phone.
It has the option to choose any installed program to run when I double click the button on the watch. I would like a small program that sends a small command over BT to start Google Now listening. I'm guessing it's possible because in my car, I can press voice dial and it starts Google Now, so the command is out there.
I just wondered if I can side load an app to my watch to replicate this behaviour?
Thanks!

[Q] How to change navigation voice on GS5?

I've tried settings>language and input>text-to-speech options and changing the voice there, but the GPS voice still is the same. Any ideas?
I downloaded the free app called Ivona text to speech. The voices are free to download while it's in beta so act fast. I changed the tts settings in my phone to Ivona and Google maps is using the voice from it. Much better voice than what Google had in there. Make sure you force stop Google maps or restart your phone to get the changes made.

Click to collapse
Baring some unexpected bug.. just change the TTS library, then select a new voice. If Ivona didn't work for you, then try the SVOX TTS library or one of the other TTS packages instead.
SVOX classic TTS
Install the new library, then go to Settings > General > Language and Input > Text-to-speech options and choose SVOX.
