Hello,
The problem seems to be calibration of the battery with the phone software.
After you root and install CWM, you can wipe battery stats. Doing that will erase all information of battery from the software and information will be made again as the cell discharges.
Other option is to root and get an application for battery calibration from the market. It also does the same thing as cwm.
Thanks,
Rick

i had 10% 'miscalibration', when charged to 100% and unplugged percents dropped suddenly in couple of minutes to 90%, and when battery was almost empty at 1% i could use phone for a good time playing 3dgames (just like it was 10% not 1%).
so when next time phone was about 50% battery i started cwm and wiped battery stats and then used it normally to full discharge and then full charge and now i have perfectly calibrated battery. when indicator says 1% i know it will be shutting down in a couple of minutes and when i have charged it to 100% it remains at 100% even for an hour if i leave phone in idle.
I got similar problem. I havent root before so i just make few fully charge and discharge and havent problem anymore. Just also try keep it loger on charger (even when you get 100%) i thing is realy dont need for most of this problem software tweak if you havent some defect mobile.

But the user just a floor down the quoted comment says it worked?
If not batterystats.bin, then there has to be some file from where the Android OS takes reference of to display the battery percentage? Or there's another possibility that the OS builds the percentage at real time, each time checking how much juice is left. Or is it something else? .
And this is a very common issue, as far as I know. How to get rid of it then? If wiping battery stats from CWM is not supposed to help?
Thanks,
Rick

Check your battery consumption, does your phone enter sleep mode or awake most of the time?
Any apps running itself on the background that maybe draining your juice, or maybe your 3G/Wifi/Bluetooth settings.
Its not about apps I thnk bro. Its a problem in the android OS Itself. That's why im looking forward to install a custom Rom. But I don't know a single little thing about how to install a custom Rom.

when you repairing your phone by suse
you taking the sim and memory card out before repair (service center way)
try this make sure its 100% battery
take sim and card out repair tthe phone
when done put sim and card back in

if it still happens it could be a buggy firmware
lets us know how it goes matey

Have you tried battery calibrator included in v6 supercharger forum? Try to check it out though havent use it myself since I dont have problem with regards to battery. Also try to install/search battery drain app fr the market. You can monitor percentage drop per hour on ur phne using that. Mine had around 1.5-2% per hr on normal use and 0.5-0.8% on deep sleep mode. Average life of our battery is around 1.5day at normal and can reach 4days atleast when on idle(no activity). Readings fr here are taken not from airplane mode+stock rom and customized kernel.

For this kind of problems i recommand to you to:
- charge your battery until it's 100% fully charged
- remove the battery and wait its 100% charged
- then reboot in CWM and wipe battery stats and reboot, and unplug the phone.
its is depend on ure KErnel
.no need to wipe batterystats...i hAve facing more worst bttry clbrtion prob for a month..batterystats dun do anything with ur battery or else..its just a stat that tell u what app has eat ur batt juice..wiping batterystats can't calibrate ur batt..trust me..ur phone will calibrated itself
..
1.use u phone normally..
2.fully drain the battery until it shut itself..turning on back until it cannot be switch on..(completly drain)
3.open ur phone back rear cover.plug in ur charger..i recommend charge ur phone without turning it on(offline chrging).just wait until it fully charge.(green)
4.turn on ur phone..use it normally..if the prob still stick..do it again.
give me an updAte..and i give u another method..just keep in mind.android calibrate the battery itself..its been 2 month finding this solid fix and cause..i have more worst prob..u cAn check out my post..

2) I didn't made full wipe, i upgraded my stock ICS via ODIN into JB DLI4 and then upgraded with odin into DLI5. All stable, super smoooth but life seems short on it.

Let your battery do 1 or 2 complete cycles and then judge it..when you do a fresh install a lot of syncing goes on in the background..

Then you should do a full wipe and report after at least 3 charge discharge cycles.
You could try wiping your battery stats in the advanced menu from recovery too before you start your discharges. Some people say this doesn't do anything but it only takes a second so can't hurt. I always do it after a full wipe. That way you're starting from a clean slate

Battery life on LI5 is a bit worse than LH1 but not by much.
I think it's around 15-20% worse overall.
Use betterbatterystats to find out what exactly is really causing the problems if it prevails after a full wipe. It might be that a couple of google apps synchronize at first in the backgroudn and cause a lot of battery consumption.
I use DLI5 and it only uses up about 1% in standby without energy saving. But i did some tricks to get there. For example, i disabled photo sync and google plus sync while my display is turned off (settings->data usage->disable background data for the apps that use up too much). Other than that, i don't use any battery saving apps and always have wifi on (even though this probably uses more energy than having it turned off at standby).
With some undervolting and bloatware removal plus sync tweaking the best idle drain I have achieved is 0.7percent/hr with all the apps I need. Very happy with that. Not on jb though. Ain't gonna test jb until it's officially out. Hopefully when it matures it should be on par if not better than ics

I also had this issue. In my case I realized that android.procesd.media went crazy eating up cpu and also bandwidth and it wouldn't stop.
I could not find a solution, I did a complete wipe (formatting system and even internal sdcard). In the i dropped DLI5 and went back to DLI3.
Cheers

Betterbatterystats is suggested but i looked for this the other day coz i had some unusual battery drain going on - Full Wake lock bar!!
Seems that is a purchase app only so looked for a free alternative - came across GSam Battery Monitor - Free app - which is great and supplys alot of useful info. (used to be called badassbatterymonitor apparently)
Found that for some reason that the hotmail app was causing the wake lock so phone not going into deep sleep (not sure why, done it today too!!) so i just force stopped it.
Check that app out and look at hotmail app if installed. Can actually see the wake issue under normal battery status on phone to - like todays issue - shows hotmail as 6% battery use which is low compared to everything else but if i click on the hotmail line it then shows extra info including stay awake - mine is reading 2h 56m & 48s - well until i force stopped it.
Maybe this will be of some help:good:
No problems here, but then I removed all the bloatware inc kiesexe.
Use Better Battery Stats as someone mentioned. You could also try Watchdog task manager from the market. Set it up so it monitors the system level, that's off by default. Those two apps shall source the problem down to exactly what's up
Also don't compare battery use so quickly..... as has been said.

Hello, I have new LG P760. First thing, what I've done was update to Jelly Bean. But I experiences battery drain. Everytime, when I look at battery stats, there is Cell Standby on a first place and second or third is System Iddle. I've done hard reset and phone recovery in LG support tool. The problem is still here. Can it be hardware problem? Is there someone with experience like that? Sorry for my english
Exactly same for me. It happened after JB update. I found that device stays active even screen is locked when mobile data are on (battery stats app).
Conditions: factory reset after update, no additional apps installed
I hope just a bug and will be fixed soon.
Hello guys,
According to my experience, I think this is happening with you coz both of you flashed JB rom which is not for your country, there is no any solution to this problem until you got jb update for your own country.
I also faced same problem and got solved after update for my country (india).

Yeah I've noticed a increase in battery drain on my P769 running V20D.
On ICS my battery would last 2 to 4 days on average, but on JB I can barely get 2 days
Same here
I updated my phone via wi-fi with the official rom. And had the same problem. Battery drain. So i downgraded back to ics. I prefer battery life instead of project butter and google now.:good:
Now I'm just guessing, but it could be the google now app. Try shutting it off or don't allow the google location stuff.
Many were talking about the Google Now service which was a battery drainer. You should try and see the results. I also tried it,and the top 2 consumers were still Cell Standby and Phone Idle.
This thread might help with the battery drain. I think csrow found the problem

This is the same experience I'm having after the recent JB update on my P769. Battery life is now about half of what it was on ICS. Cell Standby at 35%, Phone idle 22%, Screen 20%, Wifi 11%..
Used to have plenty of juice mod/heavy use, was quite impressive. Now I have to carry a charger.
I too experienced crazy battery drains after upgrading to JellyBean (OTA update, P769 T-Mobile prepaid, pure stock, not rooted). I tried turning off Google Now after reading this thread, but it didn't seem like it helped much.
Last night we decided that my wife is going to use the phone instead, so I factory reset the phone before I gave it to her so she can start over fresh with her google accounts, etc. She left home this morning with the phone fully charged, and when I came home from work in the evening I checked and she had more than 85% left! Granted she didn't use it much throughout the day as she still carries her old phone, but she did use the phone to make some phone calls/chat and take some pictures. Just as a comparison, the last time I had the phone with me before the factory reset, the phone was draining battery maybe about 15%/hour just sitting on my desk.
So, for those of you experiencing battery drains, maybe you can try doing a factory reset if you haven't. I realize this is not something most people want to do unless it's guaranteed it will fix the problem, but if it's as annoying as my experience, maybe it's worth to try.

What he ^ said, or via recovery, but I think that wouldnt be pleasant option for you, remember to backup all you can since you will loose all the data.
If you don't want to do factory reset, you can uninstall one by one apps that shouldn't be full compatible with JB (battery monitors, schedulers, so on).
JB don't drain battery!
i dont think that its rom version related...
i didnt experience something like that....try using setcpu programms and task managers to reduce ram and cpu usage...
and use a battery calibration from market

Any one else's battery life got worse after 9.1.0.300 installation?
My usual 100% shows a life of 35/36 standby hours.....after the new EMUI loaded its dropped to 29 max....
Is it worth a full reload of the phone?
In my experience, after 2 days with Emui 9.1 battery life doesn't appear to be worse, but conversely slightly better.
Normal OTA update, no factory reset.
But these are only my pretty initial feelings, I'll see.
In Chinese Huawei official forum. Some said after every update. Emui will try to optimize system by the way of using. Like Helix Engine's machine learning function. During this process the battery dead quicker than normal. Whole process may take 1-2 days, and then it will go back to normal.
Yes machine learning became faster and more aggressive after the update, but after two days your battery life will stabilize.
Good battery life for me. After full charge : 71h estimated.
Actually I'm at 57%, 4h17 SOT, and remain 35h and 28 mn
My second day with 9.1. I find better battery life on 9.1
My battery also got affected by Emui 9.1, I checked in the battery setting & discover that it was Huawei data management service causing the drain!
What app is causing your drain?
