Does this phone have a task manager integrated "out of box"? i know my former Droid 3 had one, which worked pretty good. i mean ending apps after 2mins when screen entered in stand by. or how can we choose to do that?
I know smart actions you can set it up to do that.

thanks. can you develop that?
It comes stock on your phone.

Is there a way to clear a single notification in Sense? I want to remove just a specific notification without having to open the app, read the text, etc. I know you could swipe a single notification to the side in CM7.

That just opens whatever the notification is (app, text, etc). I'm looking just to dismiss it without opening it.
So I'm guessing by the lack of responses that it isn't possible in Sense.
I really wish this feature was available with the Evo 3D like it is with the GB Droid X, X2, Droid 2, Droid 3, Photon, and other GB Blur devices.
Hi all,
I'm coming from to the RAZR from an iPhone 3GS, but I'm not new to Android in general (had a GTab and Transformer).
I'm loving the RAZR, but the one thing I really miss from the iPhone are the lockscreen notifications with iOS 5. Specifically, being able to see and scroll through notifications from the lockscreen.
I've done several searches here and on Google and as far as I can tell there are no apps that can do this. Without getting into any Android vs. iOS nonsense, does anyone know of any programs that do this?
TIA
None i know off. However once you get some roms im sure a dev can cook soemthing up.
Search the market. I believe there are several apps that can do this.

I think ICS has this built in. Correct?

I know that there's Locker Widget, but best as I can tell it doesn't do the notifications like iOS 5, nor do others.

I'm posting this here because no one in the x2 forum knows anything on this but my friend has a thunderbolt and on his notification bar it has all the apps he's using and a music section to change your songs. Its a rather cool addition to the phone and I was wonder how I could get this on the x2
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
Anyone have any clue about this?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
Not sure about the apps list, but Widgetsoid lets you put music controls in your notification bar.
If you long press on notifications I should bring them up

As far as the music controls in the drop down menu, it believe that is part of the HTC Music app.
As for the recent apps in the dropdown menu, that would take some serious code editing. It is a part of HTC Sense, which is deeply integrated in the Android OS on HTC devices. The best thing you could do is to try to find a x2 dev that is really good with editing java/smali/xml and see if they can figure something out.
I don't think there is a way to port it over, so it would probably have to be built from the ground up.
All the good x2 devs seem to be trying to un lock the bootloader lol

This seems like a great deal, but I've heard droid x2 users should not use this app to customize our phones because it will cause bootloops, I wanted it mainly for the root explorer pro, script manager, and customizing the notification bar....I'm running liberty3....so should I stay away from this app or go for it???
go for it. i have it. it will only bootloop if you are stupid. if it says a part of the app is not compatable, trust it. you will be fine.
I didn't know it would warn you that parts were incompatible, can't go wrong
Lol I bought it back when it was $5 I think. In either case its a damn good app for the money.
I paid $6 for that app. Used it on my X2 to change fonts, my status bar icons and boot animation. Boot logo doesn't work. Just make sure you nandroid before doing anything in case you run into trouble. Sadly I deleted my old gmail account and lost this app. Good to know it's on sale, thanks!

I bought this app the other day for the $2.99 sale price and I think it is worth it.

careful if you are on a GB Blur ROM, it does not play nice with some mods, like changing the battery icon. Make sure you do a nandroid before you play.
I had issues changing the notification bar icons on my DX2 running CM7. Everything else seems to work alright. Little hiccups here and there, but works pretty smoothly.
I have problems using it with cm7. It doesn't always open right I use the root browser and it will open as an empty screen alot. Freezes and crashes when I try to move apps. Worked great on eclipse thoigh

Haven't used an HTC device in a few years but picked up a DNA yesterday. One thing I was looking forward to was a chance to try the Sense car dock app which I've heard good things about. But I can't seem to find it anywhere. Am I overlooking something?

I am assuming you are talking about the app "Car". The icon is a steering wheel.

Right. But it's not on my DNA.
Wow that's weird I have it on mine.
Did you hide it via Menu>Hide Apps in the app drawer?
Once there you can uncheck it to un-hide it.
That is all I got, maybe someone else has an idea.

Most likely, you need to plug it into a car dock to activate it. The dock will trigger the app if it's installed.
I actually prefer ultra care home. Much more customizable.
Not in my app drawer either. Can see it in the settings>apps but can't activate it there.

I was going to ask that too. I don't have car app in the app drawer. But I see it in settings>apps>all. Same thing with the dock mode app. I'd love to be able to use them.
On the Rezound, for example, they're not in the apps, but if you touch search capacitive button in the bottom right corner and type "car panel" or "dock mode" you'll see the app in the results, and just touch it to start. Same with "mirror" app. But on DNA that trick doesn't seem to work.
Sent from HTC Droid DNA
Ok, I just tried again. You can do a search by pressing and holding the home button. Enable searching phone in the settings. Then just type an app name. It works for car, mirror, voice recorder (these apps are not in the app drawer)
You can also create shortcuts for them, for example, in ES File Explorer.
I still can't open dock mode. Is anybody smarter than me? I sure would like to use it.

I'm currently using the Nova Launcher and all those apps show up, but if I go back to the default sense one they do not.
Can you open the dock mode?
Sent from HTC Droid DNA
I emailed HTC about that and they said "We do understand your concerns with the applications not showing on the app tray. HTC is currently looking into this to determine what is occurring but we have no estimated time for a resolution to be reached."
Or when we get root it's not hard to get those apps to show in app tray

Can you try the dock mode from your launcher? Does it open?
Yup, for some reason when using Apex, or Nova Launchers they are shown just like all other apps. Very odd if you ask me?
htc has always wanted those apps to be dock specific to try and get you to buy their OEM docks.
I can also confirm that using a non oem launcher like nova and apex will get the cardock to show along with a mirror app and movie app among others. Now we need a wireless charging card dock... Lol js
You can launch the apps manually through Titanium Backup.
I can confirm both dock apps work.
Any chance someone could post a screen shot of the car dock app on the DNA?

So you can actually start the dock mode? I have no problem starting the car app through the ES File Explorer, but the dock mode won't start. That's strange. Any idea?
