While rubbing my finger across the Verizon logo I can feel it protrudes.. I feel like this can be rubbed or gently scratched off.. Has anyone given it a go yet?

Yeah, I have white and it's pretty annoying. My button even looks like it's a bit twisted, and isn't lined up properly. I'll probably try and take care of covering it with something myself instead of buying a sticker. The white of the button is even more white than the rest of the phone.

Nope. Etched means it's physically carved into the button. You aren't getting that off.

Since it's etched INTO the button.. meaning the words Verizon and their dumb logo is basically cut into it.. so no, applying all the nailpolish remover in the world will not do what we'd like.
I'm also bothered by the illusion that the whole damn thing is crooked! lol I have tried to turn the key a bit to see if there's slop..
I have white also and while it's a little annoying at first, I'll live with it.
its a little tiring but I will wait for other solutions which are sure to come soon

i'd like to mention i dont think the gray is etched in. I compared both phones and my nails dont get caught in the gray one like the white does. THis could be because the button is painted. I dont really want to gamble this theory with nail polish remover tho or non-acetone chemical.
The logo on the button isn't a big deal to me....thought I would hate it, but nah.

Not sure about this, mine does say "Noble Black" on the box and it's a 'grey' finish to the silver surround.
That's just the reflection of the flash making it look silver.

Box says noble black. Mine looks exactly the same as yours. It just might look different due to the light reflection from flash/windows etc.

I can't believe people have had this phone for like 36 hours and this is the first thread!!!
Yep the 3D does have light bleed along the bottom of the screen and up the sides. Doesn't appear to be as bad as the Evo 4G but it is there.
And I don't thing the power button is any different either. It the same hard to find one on my Evo 4g.

Yup, same here. It's minor, and doesn't really bother me. Barely noticeable.
The powerbutton though, how's it hard to find? It's always in the same spot and never moves!
yes, this is one of the things i wish htc fixed but i have it too.. im going to ask for a new one because i have a white spot near the home button from the light.. guess the black under the glass didnt cover that little pin size spot.
as for the light bleed... i always use a case on my phone, do i dont see it much. sucks that its there i guess but not a deal breaker

Mine is the same way, a little light bleeding from the capacitive buttons, but not a big deal at all.
I see it in a well lit room. I had to go in a dark room with my dslr to get the picture. maybe I'll get a case but I sure do like to streak.

To each there own. Personally I don't like companies doing shotty work on any part of my device. It's not bad but when I'm laying in bed on the EVO it was annoying and could make watching videos not good. Like I said I'm weird but I like my products made with care and without batch defects.
That being said it not as bad as the original but its a shame they couldn't fix such a stupid issue.

Of course it's not a big deal, but it's really something that just shouldn't happen. When cheaper phones by HTC can have no leaks, then it means it's all just a matter of quality control.
Both phones have light bleed at the bottom. It's there. It is very hard to photograph. I won't go into why it is so hard to photograph. But it shows up very well in a bright room.

Going by all of the promotional photos and the other accents on the phone, I think that it is pretty safe to say the the buttons should also be red. That said, a lot of owners have found that some (as on mine) or all of the buttons have a light red (pink) hue. Since the actual backlights are white, it seems to be a manufacturing defect in that the red tint used on the digitizer was not applied properly on some devices. Yes, it sucks. There's also a thread showing some users cracking open their RZDs using everything from a red sharpie to color the white LED's to completely replacing them with red LED's.

Haha. Yeah, two of mine are fairly red, but the others are very pink. I want to rub the lights down with a sharpie, but I haven't looked into getting the "void" sticker off in one piece yet. I'm also wondering how legit the "replacement" stickers are on ebay. The fact that they only sell them in sheets of [email protected]$10 a sheet is lame though.

I believe it's been proven that males tend to be more color blind than females but she's pushing it there.
From the pics that have been posted by some users..... That's PINK!.
Crossing fingers that I get red when I take the dive.
My buttons are pretty much pink too, but it doesn't bother me.

So we bought a phone with red capacitive lights, and aren't supposed to be bummed that they are pink? Everything relating to a smartphone is a first world problem, so calling this one complaint out is a little silly. I had my lights replaced with red LEDs. My warranty isn't void. If it doesn't bother you, that's great. You don't need to tell us that it shouldn't be an issue, because obviously, to some of us, it is.

Yepp to some of us the details are important. Obviously for someone for example who can care less about cars, they wouldnt put rims on it or other stuff, but for someone who does, its something they want done. I would def want my rezound in white, would look sick with the red lights and red grill n so forth, but im not gonna paint this guy cuz it never stays as good as factory done i wish stupid colorware would paint other phones aside from gay ass iphones and ipads...

HTC should know that customers are not happy about it. Even if they don't receive the complaints directly, the exchanged handsets should be enough of an indication. I'm probably being too wishful in that regard though, as the handsets will likely just be "re-certified" and sold again, knowing Verizon. Then the circle of life is completed - the only resources consumed are some new packaging materials.

No the mics line up perfectly
I am running Serendipity 9.3 with it's built in kernal and have no problems talking and no problems with speaker phone either. Voice is clear.
Doesn't look bad. How long it took for shipping?

Are you sure? The "Top/Headphone Jack" picture has the hole near the edge towards the black front casing. But on my phone it's towards the edge near the battery cover.

Maybe just me, but it feels much more "well-built".
The battery back door is much harder and stiffer than the flimsy original black one.
Also the batter back door is smooth, I personally like the feel better when compared to the textured original battery door.

Oh sorry, my bad. That was just my way of testing the power button without turning off the screen haha.
No the power button and volume keys don't stick at all.
EDIT: Oh I see what you mean. You mean the part when I test the volume button, a menu pops up in the back right?
That is because I use the AudioManager app and when I press the volume buttons, a menu pops up that asks me if I want to change sound profile

I also saw that but if you look closely, they are only selling you the home button, if you choose full housing in the drop down menu it becomes more expensive

K so I bought my 1st phone from expansys and had bad overheating issues. They were very nice in exchanging it for me. But now I noticed on by replacement phone there are like 6-8 spider cracks around the one side of the rear speaker. You can tell the back plate cracked from factory speaker install. Did anyone notice this on their phone? I emailed expansys again. Do u think they'd give me a hard time on getting another replacement? I hate to see the back case crack worse then it already is.

On top of that add some other issues like black screen ink marks and tell them backcover makes a sound when u click on it. That should be enough to get a refund or replacement

I do have those black ink marks, im not really worried about it at the moment. What I worry is will it worse and be visible on the months/weeks to come?
this is the best attempt i could make....i can't tell if its just the glaze that is cracked or what...but come on you pay 700 for a phone it shouldn't be like that....
